I don't know why I read so many negative comments! Kobe's is a bang for your buck type place. You get so much food for ~$12. I've never had an issue with this place and the workers have always been kind to me. I read a few comments about them not being fluent in English- and that just shows some peoples entitlement. It's their job to serve you food- not have conversations with you! Great place with the yummiest chicken teriyaki!

Best place to eat at the mall. I don't understand why they have a menu. They should just ask how many orders Teriyaki Chicken you want. All kidding aside, their Teriyaki Chicken is great. My wife and I probably go to the mall more often for this than the mall itself. It can be a little crowded because its so popular but they are usually moving at a pretty fast pace.

P.S. If you are pretty hungry, ask for "double meat" or "extra meat" and you will get twice as much for a couple bucks extra.

Best Chicken Teriyaki you can get! Forgo the rice and get all vegetables instead! Seriously excellent Teriyaki!

Good teriyaki chicken. A awesome establishment to have in the Cherry Valley Mall, and I hope they continue to serve such awesome food.

Nice associates and of course that smell. It draws you in, like an old mickey mouse cartoon. I love that they throw that sauce, so hot and tasty, all over the food. Oh my gosh it is something else!

Kobe Japan has the BEST chicken Teriyaki! Rockford’s hidden gem. Located in the Cherryvale Mall food court (I know, right?) this small family owned restaurant understands the basics of success - do one thing and do it right. It’s absolutely delicious. I suggest ordering double meat. Easy to find, just look for the only restaurant with a long line. Worth the wait.

Every time I eat here, i have a great experience. I get white rice teriyaki chicken with extra soy sauce. Its super delicious and fast. Much enjoyed.

Kobe is the best place in Rockford!!! Food is amazing.
Diarrhea is possible and gas coming out (could smell bad) but other than that it's the best place to eat at.

The best teriyaki chicken in Rockford, and it's very affordable. As a result, this place is always the busiest restaurant in the food court and you should prepare to wait in line for service.

They're really good. Only place in the food court that has a line, and for good reason. Food is good and cheap.

Favourite place to go and get food, if possible at least once a week. Definitely worth the try if you're looking for something new to eat.

Do people order anything besides chicken teriyaki when they go here? I'd consider selling one of my kids in exchange for the recipe.

I am vegetarian and I had no problem getting vegetarian selection of sushi. It was so wonderfully pleasing to the palate.

Love it. Chicken teriyaki was ggreat I have the vegetables and noodles with it. I would go back just for the veggies and noodles alone.
