Mexican food is an all time favorite. Exploring different cuisine on a weekend has become a new hobby. Dos Amigos is one of our favorites now. Awesome service, friendly staff . Food including salsa and chips are so fresh and delicious. Cocktails are 🤩 amazing. Great food, good quality and quantity all this for an affordable price. Definitely going back. Cheers to Dos Amigos team .

On my experience, only a few Mexican restaurants has been achieving the goal of offering the flavors of the Mexican kitchen without being too spicy for local customers and one of those are Dos Amigos, a friendly family owned restaurant with great atmosphere and plenty of Mexican flavorful food. Sergio is always taking care of the kitchen, the quality of the food, that makes the difference. Strongly recommended.

Best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Everything. Even the chips and salsa are different and perfect. And staff is amazing… best lunch by myself!

Dos Amigos Restaurant on Rockland Rd in Libertyville is our hands-down, go-to Mexican Restaurant in the Northwest Suburbs.

We have been to Dos Amigos close to a dozen times. Each time the food has been superb. We have dined on Tortas, the Enchilada Dinner, the Taco Dinner, the Veggie Burrito, the Chimichanga, and the Taco Salad.

The atmosphere is always festive. The restaurant’s interior is decorated with traditional cultural décor that reflects both everyday life as well as different holidays.

The service is prompt, friendly, and reflects the owners’ commitment to the customer’s enjoyment and satisfaction.

Upon entering Dos Amigos, you’re greeted by one of the co-owners, a warm and welcoming man, who treats his guests like family. If the world was filled with people like this, it would be a much better place.

Had a quick stop today, had one of the most delicious chicken soups here! :-) staff is super friendly!!

This is my first time being here in Libertyville. Service was fast, and professional. They made us feel comfortable. The food was very good and was priced right. We will be back.

Food it always good and fresh, the place is clean .. I really love this place.

I absolutely loved dining here! AUTHENTIC Mexican food, great drinks, reasonably priced for how great the quality was, and my server was so considerate to my family and their needs.

If you’re on the fence on visiting, just go, you won’t have any regrets!! Maybe I’ll be in there I keep going back 😂

Food is amazing all the time! Guac is always fresh. Cocktails and beers are always great. This place is always a vibe! Has a lot of seating and a bar! A must for some good Mexican food. The owner is wonderful and such a sweet guy who really cares for his employees and customers. Muchas gracias Dos Amigos! This is a libertyville gem!

Sadly it was to white for a Mexican place. The salsas were not spicy at all and the food was bland and no flavor really, The drinks were horrible alcohol wise cause the bartender was to busy to make them right. My Cantarito tasted like plane juice. I do not recommend if your Mexican.

All of the staff were very kind and friendly quickly moving us to a larger table when it became available. We ordered a steak dinner, steak torta, salmon torta, chimichanga, and steak salad. Everything was delicious and the portions were large. We will definitely be coming back.

“When you’re here, you’re family” should really be the Dos Amigos slogan. Always greeted and welcomed friendly whether dining in or take out.

Norman may be the friendliest person I’ve ever met.

And to top it off, the food is incredible. Can’t go wrong with any of the tacos, burritos or tortas. Or my favorite is Sergio’s Enchiladas. Heck, even my 3 y/o that’s incredibly picky eats the cheese quesadilla and can’t get him enough beans.

11/10 if google would let me.

I've been a frequent flier of Dos Amigos since they opened some years ago. What ALWAYS brings me back is the Al pastor. Deliciously seasoned pork with pineapple chunks mixed in (don't knock it til you try it!). The elotes (mexican corn) is fantastic as well, and 2 weeks ago they had Quesabirria tacos on special, and I can tell you those will have you questioning ever ordering anything else! The Pozole is my go to for days that I might not be feeling very well. The Dos Amigos crew is always very friendly and can make recommendations for food for any situation!

My wife and I really love this place. Especially when meeting my In Laws for dinner. Food is prepared and served wonderfully. Our go to place for Mexican Food.

We hosted our holiday party at dos amigos - and from the staff to the taco bar everything was absolutely amazing! Still can’t get over the stunning remodel and the new bar!!

Always a go to for me! Whether it was an office lunch or a table just for two I had a great time, not too loud so having conversations was no hastle, and the food was delicious! I usually get the taco plate but the burgers are great too! Don’t forget the guacamole and ceviche! Finish it wish a shot of tequila 🥰

Really good Mexican food in the northern suburbs. Staff are very friendly and attentive.
