Neil was extremely professional and personable, it was a pleasure having him in our home. He got the job done quickly and made sure to always clean up before leaving for the day. We will use him for all of or projects in the future.

I am so appreciative of the hard work, professionalism, knowledge and kindness that Neil showed through our entire project. We had a very large electrical job that had unexpected issues along the way. Neil worked with us to address the additional issues found, even though they were outside of the original scope of the project. I like to say our project kept "growing".

Neil is an excellent, thorough electrician. Always on time, has great suggestions, LISTENS(!) to what I need/want and comes up with solutions, explains everything when I ask questions. Neil was very professional and did a great job finding the problem. We previously had another local electrician out that we payed over $5000.00 and we still have a bunch of issues and Neil found them and fixed them very quickly and his price was very fair. He also found several other things we payed to have fixed that were not fixed and is gonna give us a estimate to come back and finish the job. Neil Nix at B&D Construction - Electrical is a one-person operation based out of Royalton, IL, and serves this area well. He is very honest and upfront with all costs and labor performed for whatever your home's needs are. I found Neil's business through Google for a bathroom renovation that was needed at my home. Anything above and beyond the agreed scope of work that was agreed upon he was very upfront about the costs. Neil is very meticulous and gets the job done right the first time. I would use Neil and his company for further home remodeling at my house.

I called to have the wiring in my home checked out because my baseboard heaters were either not working or not putting out enough heat, and my house has maintained near freezing temperatures. Neil Nix came out on a Saturday**HIS DAY OFF**just so I wouldn't have to spend the rest of the winter bundled up with blankets on my couch! He identified and fixed some wiring mistakes made by the guy I had hired to upgrade my electrical panel last year, as well as fixed some wiring mistakes in my newer baseboard heaters made by a different guy. I have had such horrible luck finding contractors who actually know what they are doing (evidenced by the shoddy and uncompleted work I'm currently living with). Mr. Nix is very knowledgeable, professional, and personable, and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing electrical work done at a very reasonable and affordable price. He told me he does all types of remodeling work as well, and I am hoping to hire him again to repair/complete the previous work done by the four other "contractors" I had over the last two years. My husband and I purchased some commercial property for my business. On the property sits an old house that needed major remodeling to transform it into office space. Neil did an amazing job on the remodel. He rewired the house, ran computer cables, built a ramp and deck to make the building ADA compliant, built two walls to subdivide a large room into a waiting room and two offices, hung drywall and textured the walls to match the rest of the offices, painted all of the offices, discovered beautiful hardwood floor under carpet, cleaned and repaired some bad spots on the hardwood floors, shined the floors, painted, installed French doors and frosted the windows of the doors and did some minor plumbing. I highly recommend Neil for any home improvement/remodel needs.

We hired Neil to help us with a spider web mess of electrical issues, he spent hours in a hot attic and tons of time trying to solve the many electrical issues in the home we were remodeling. After several days of hard, hot work I expected a pretty hefty invoice since it was electrical work, but was shocked at the price we got for all the hard work. It was less than half what I expected and believe when I say the work was done right and as any perfectionist would want it. He was very knowledgeable and helpful by giving us tips for future projects. You need look no further for an honest, reliable and professional contractor.

Very Professional and reasonably priced. This company follows through with the job at hand in a timely manner. The work done is excellent. Royalton library has hired B&D to do electrical work, add light fixtures, perform the installation and custom building of cabinetry for the rerouting of computer equipment and wires, as well as do a current assessment of conditions of the building. B&D is reliable, honest, excellent in workmanship, great in communication for time, cost and expectations. You know where you are without surprises.

I've hired Neil to do electrical, roofing, and carpentry work. He shows up when he says. He's pleasant, competent, cooperative, cleans up after himself, and I feel like I can trust him even when I'm not looking. I recommend him highly.

B&D did an excellent job of installing a new front door/storm door, and some Facia board replacement with gutter repair back by the garage. They were very friendly and professional in all ways . Would recommend them………for sure 😊👌👍
