Holiday Inn Express & Suites Parkersburg - Mineral Wells, an IHG Hotel

This hotel was sparking clean and comfortable.They have the most helpful and kind hotel staff that I have ever encountered.

On the drive home from vacation we struck a deer in the middle of nowhere, West Virginia. Our car was undriveable and we were stranded. Some very locals helped us to get to this hotel. The staff was so kind and compassionate. They quickly got us settled into rooms, and allowed us an extremely late check out the the next day as we waited for family to arrive to rescue us. I am a picky traveler and I was nervous about what conditions we find. This hotel was clean and comfortable. It had pool, with family and kid free hours. There was complimentary breakfast in the morning that my 3 giant sons declared “fantastic.”
We will be forever grateful for the kindness of strangers that made a difficult situation so much better.
If you are looking for (or just need) a place to stay in this area, this is the place!

Stayed with family for 2 nights. Very satisfied with our stay. The room was clean aside from a few stains here and there. Looked modern and nice. The TV was a bit weird and took a bit to get going but wasn't a deal-breaker. The free breakfast was alright, it would've been cool if the pancake machine worked when I was staying there. The biscuits and sausage gravy made up for it though. Decent prices, great amenities, and an overall positive experience. I recommend this location to anyone passing through.

Stayed here about a week ago and would recommend this hotel for this area. Was here about a week. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Beds were comfortable, rooms accommodating and friendly staff. Breakfast was good. It's basically the standard hotel for IHG. I've noticed lately they have all really been on point. I'm happy to see! Enjoyed my stay here

The complementary breakfast was the most amazing breakfast we have ever been served at a hotel. The variety of foods, the cleanliness of the food area and the staff refilling the foods was wonderful. My only thought is, the coffee is way to strong.

Juanita was so very kind and helpful during our breakfast. We could all use more people like her in the hospitality field.

Just spent a couple nights here while visiting family in the area. We stayed on the first floor as we had a small dog with us. There is a nice grassy area out front for pets to relieve themselves. The hotel was clean and seemed to be kept in good order. Breakfast was well done - one of the better HIExpress breakfasts I’ve had lately. Most importantly the cinnamon rolls were soft and warm and the coffee was good! The hotel is also in a good location with food and shops nearby. We’ll stay here again when we’re back in the area.

Very nice and clean affordable Hotel. We really enjoyed our stay there. The complimentary breakfast is nice, however everything has to be microwaved before eating. The pool and hot tub is very nice, clean. There is a fitness center that is very small, but it can get the job done. It only has dumbbells and a couple cardio machines. They also have a meeting room which is nice, had our girls volleyball team party. Thanks for the great stay and look forward to seeing you again.

We are IHG Spire Elite members and as such have stayed in many IHG properties across the east coast. Our stay at this hotel was the first night of a spring break road trip. Upon check in, Melissa was extremely friendly and welcoming.

I have a weird allergy that often is not accommodated so we are in the habit of checking whenever we enter our room. (I’m allergic to feathers and down.). I had called ahead and was told the property doesn’t have feather pillows. Upon arrival, we found that there were feather pillows. We removed them and let the desk know. Melissa was amazing. She was very apologetic and tracked down poly pillows. She apologized profusely. None of it was her fault and we weren’t mad. She was incredibly accommodating and did everything in possible to ensure a great stay.

We stayed in a queen suite sofa bed room. The room was huge! The beds were clean and comfortable. The room was larger than the $400/night Marriott we stayed at last weekend in Richmond VA. Don’t expect Marriott amenities but this is an amazing Holiday Inn Express. My husband enjoyed the hot tub at the pool. (Which the Marriott in reference didn’t offer)

If your travels take you to Parkersburg, stay here. Melissa will take great care of you.

We stayed here for my niece's wedding. Actually the whole bridal party did. Clean rooms, wonderful breakfast, very nice staff. Zero problems. Highly recommended!!!

Room was very clean and we slept great the bed and pillows were so comfy!

The room was clean and even had that sanitized smell. The bed was comfortable and pillows/blankets/sheets were clean and extremely comfortable. The pool was wonderful and my son thoroughly enjoyed himself. Breakfast was hot and waiting on me when I walked out at 7 am.

But what made this stay exceed my expectations was the staff. We had the bad luck of someone destroying the original room I reserved to the point it required repairs. I received a call in advance from the staff telling me what had happened and offering me the next option. They went above and beyond by providing us with a gift card to Cracker Barrel located next door that comped our meal there.

When we checked in, the lady at the front desk remembered me and was extremely welcoming and friendly. She helped immediately when my cell phone deactivated my key card (whoops). Our neighbors were extremely loud and rude, slamming doors, banging on the wall. I mentioned it as I went outside at about 11:30 pm. The wonderful woman up front offered to put us in another room, but my son and husband were asleep so I declined. She stated she would keep her ears open to anymore additional noise. Shortly after going back to the room, I heard one more bang from the neighbors and suddenly it died down, so I presume something was said to them about it. I can’t thank the staff here enough for going above and beyond.

Any hotel can be clean and tidy, but your staff is what keeps people coming back. We will definitely choose here the next time we are in town!

We had such a comfortable clean room we stopped there again on our way home! Friendly staff, good breakfast, and comfortable beds. Easy access from freeway and good eateries within 10 minutes from hotel. What more do you need?

First of all the address for this place is 80 OLD Nicolette Rd not just Nicolette Rd. If you take the address on Google it takes you to a college so be sure you type it in right the first time or you’ll waste a confusing 15 minutes like we did hahaha!
Any way once we found the place it’s been a super nice stay! Only staying one night as we travel back to GA from Michigan. Staff are really nice and friendly, rooms are clean although our curtain is like glued shut - I guess they don’t want people to see the strip club outside but that doesn’t bother me. Surprisingly quiet area considering that’s next door.
The pool and hot tub are open 24 hours - we stayed in the hot tub til after midnight! It wasn’t too hot which for me is a good thing bc I usually can’t get in hot tubs bc of my blood pressure without getting dizzy but this one didn’t make me dizzy.
Hotel shares its parking lot with a Cracker Barrel where we had a good supper and did some shopping at the CB store.
Breakfast this morning was limited bc their oven broke and they’re waiting on a part but they’re making the best of a bad situation- a variety of microwaveable biscuits, sausage gravy, the usual cold stuff, and a pancake machine. Delicious coffee and a couple of different flavored creamers.
We’ll be checking out soon to resume our travels but overall a great place to spend the evening after a long day on the road!

We stayed here when out of town for a funeral. The staff here was amazing. They were very accommodating and friendly. The hotel was immaculate. Our room was comfortable. The pool area was clean. Breakfast was wonderful.

Great place!! I travel a lot and decided to take my 8 year old to stay here for the pool. Very clean place the pool and hot tub was amazing very clean and due to covid you book your party for 1 hour it was nice to have the pool to yourself for a hour.. We was late getting to Breakfast,but the lady was very nice her name was Benita she hooked us up with to go bags even offered to fix us eggs, and gave us cinnamon rolls! 😍 Its nice to know there’s still good people out there! This place is hands down a 5 star ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This place is just awesome. Our room was unbelievable and I may never leave this cushy bed. Went down to swim, had pool area to ourselves. Extremely clean and the jacuzzi was fantastic. I definitely give this a TOP rating.

It was a pleasant stay. Not the greatest location. Adult entertainment places everywhere. But, a nice place to stay. Staff went above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. Decent breakfast and attended to by a nice hostess.
The room was clean and seemed recently updated. Refrigerator and microwave was included. The bathroom lights were too dim for my wife to put on makeup easily.
Overall a nice place. Would definitely stay again.

Just WOW. My mom recently had a bad fall and we needed a handicap room for a few Nights. The staff was literally a God send. They went above and beyond to help in any way possible. The rooms were so clean. Cannot say enough GREAT THINGS about the Team at this hotel. Highly recommend.

Everything was great here for our overnight stay. The front desk clerk was very nice and helpful. We stayed in a 2 queen room. The beds were comfortable, the room was modern and clean and the shower had excellent pressure and plenty of hot water! No complaints whatsoever.
