Four Points by Sheraton Charleston

Very nice hotel in a great location in downtown Charleston. Stayed in an upgraded room, Marriott rewards program benefit, and it was really nice.

Bed, shower, and couch in the room were all in great condition and were great quality. All helped make it a more comfortable stay. Room was clean and front desk staff were extremely helpful and responsive.

Two relatively minor issues with the room: door closing on its own didn’t fully close (engage to prevent someone else from entering) and refrigerator needed defrosted badly. Reported both issues to the front desk for action, requested once we departed, and the professional at the front desk assured us they’d both be addressed in a very friendly manner.

One gripe about the hotel, the temperature in the rooms defaults to 77 or higher. You can adjust it to something lower, but the sensor(s) in the room require movement to continue to respect your wishes for a lower temperature. Leave the room or sleep, and it goes back up as the building heats up.

Enjoyed a few drinks at the bar. Terrific friendly service by an awesome, friendly professional. Reasonable prices with an acceptable selection.

Got breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant and was truly impressed. The food is a bit pricey, but after eating it we felt like it was worth the cost. Great friendly service.

Great place to stay, among the best if not the best in and around Charleston.

My husband and I were passing through on our way to TN. The waterfront location enticed us. We are so glad that we stayed!
Staff was super friendly and kind, I enjoyed talking them. The room was gorgeous with a view of the water!
The location is what made this place special. We loved being able to park in the garage, and walk right out onto the river path.
We went out to eat at a nearby pizzaria and found a quaint, pleasant little neighborhood with the coolest art/live music/book shop if ever seen. There were several dining/bar options nearby as well.
The room was spacious, clean and nice. The chair and bed were extremely comfortable.
We had a lovely breakfast. Simple eggs, bacon and toast. The wait staff ended up finding my husband's wallet when fell from his pocket! They hung into it until we returned from our walk.
Highly recommend. We loved staying here.

Very nice hotel . We got there around 9:30 pm and we were very ready to get into our hotel room after traveling 4 hrs. BUT, they had the national Olympics qualifier trials going in for bicycling! We parked on a bus lane behind a police car . We some with them. They were very friendly. Our hotel was smack dab in the middle of the races🤷 . At the end of the race at 10:40. The police officers got us right into where we needed to be. God bless them 💕

I always try to stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Charleston when I am in Charleston, WV. It is a great location to visit/walk the historic downtown and the Kanawha Riverfront. They are a Mariott hotel. Recently hosted the USA Cycling Pro Road Nationals Cycling Championships.

Front desk staff is incredible! Rooms are clean and spacious, and the lobby is accessible from the parking garage. Beautiful view of the river on one side, and beautiful view of the city on the other. Charming bar, large fireplace in common area, fitness center, and pool. Would def recommend over the Marriott or Holiday Inn nearby.

Beautiful big rooms that are made for a long term stay and very comfortable beds!! Especially if you have dress clothes that need hanging even has an ironing board and iron so you don't have to worry about what happened to them before you got there!! Felt very safe in the downtown location and river view was a pleasant extra! Nicest people and shuttle drivers who were very accommodating.. deserves a 6th star!

Persons at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. Room and beds were clean and comfy. Well stocked with coffee and tea.

We got in late last evening and we're greeted by Mike at the desk. He was absolutely superb, and friendly. He gave wonderful information about places to stop on our trip, and was just all around wonderful. The rooms were clean and nice, fantastic pool hours, friendly staff and coffee in the lobby in the morning. It was a wonderful stay.

Very friendly staff. Easy check in and out. Clean room. Comfortable bed and enough nice pillows. So many wonderful extras. The view was amazing.

Recently held a wedding at the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful, no matter the time. Place was clean and looked maintained well. Any issues were addressed quickly and professionally.
The wedding was beyond what we expected. The space was decorated beautifully. Everything we requested was there.
Also, the hotel is right on Kanawha Boulevard, within easy walking distance to some fantastic restaurants and bars. Definitely coming back when we are back in state

The hotel is nice and clean. Nice views of the river.. 11 miles to the casino so an easy Uber if not wanting to drive.The sports bar attached is wonderful. The wings were delicious as were the pretzel sticks with cheese. All the other food looked that passed by delicious as well. (We saw salads and fish and chips).we were happy we didn't have to drive anywhere for dinner.

Would be nice if it had a microwave and a hot tub to go to. The staff at the desk was friendly and very helpful. Love the view of the river and the concert area at the park.

We came in about 10 pm looking for a room. We were greeted by Jackie and Sadie both with great smiles. The perfect thing to see after a long day along with great conversation. Then when I went down for coffee. Jackie was still here, keep up the great work. I'll return to this location when I have a little more time. Also the view from the room looking at the water is awesome! Beautiful!

Stayed one night 05/21/23. Mike, the concierge, was extremely kind and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly to our expectation. Really good value for the $.

I’m writing this review to share about our wonderful experience. Christy at the front desk was very kind to our family and we will definitely stay here again because of her hospitality. It’s rare you get such great customer service but this mom of 4 really appreciated it. Honestly, everyone we encountered at the hotel were helpful and willing to help me. The hotel is in a great location with water views. You are within walking distance to many restaurants and it is overall a great location. The room was nice, the bed and pillows were very comfortable and the hotel was clean.

Regatta night! Lots of variety when it came to food and drinks...nice outdoor concert...very close to the downtown area. You could walk to shop within minutes. Parking was good. I parked at the mall...took 5 mins to get to the area and parking was really cheap.

The staff is always very nice and helpful. Promise is often working the front desk when I check in and she always has a big welcoming smile and very accommodating. They have struggled with staffing like most places and yet you will see everyone pulling together to make sure the guests are taken care of, especially at breakfast when it can get very busy. The view of the river is the best.

We stopped here on our way through Charleston and could not have been more pleased. When we arrived it was raining and a woman came out with an umbrella for me. How amazing is that! The man at reception was very nice and had a great sense of humor. I was already feeling like I was at a home away from home kind of place. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We stopped at the bar for a drink before heading out for dinner (Pies & Pints...Yum!) and were taken care of like we were old friends. We could not have been happier with our stay. Everyone at the hotel is so nice and welcoming it just made our stay so great. We will definitely be staying here every time we are traveling through.
