Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Athens

Excellent customer service, friendly and welcoming staff. I arrived without a reservation while on my way to Florida. I was greeted by Jordan at the front desk who immediately assured me that he would be able to book me in for the one night stay. He was very professional and efficient. I requested a ground floor room as i had a fair bit of luggage. In a matter of minutes i was in my room for the evening. Jordan told me about the complimentary morning breakfast and explained where everything was located .BTW the complimentary breakfast offered quite a variety of items and good coffee. The room was clean and comfortable. I recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

We stayed in 3 different hotels this week (Holiday Inn Express, Homewood Suites, and this one). This one was by FAR the best. We stayed in the King Suite. The room was great. The bed was firm. There was a separate living area, with a separate TV. Massive walk-in shower. Both TVs were huge as well. The breakfast in the morning was great. All of the staff we encountered were extremely friendly.

There's only a couple of things I'd note, and they weren't big by any means:
1- The TV remotes control both tvs, so when we'd turn one off, the other one would come on.
2- This suite doesn't come with a kitchenette, mini fridge, and microwave only.
3- There is no divider between the bedroom and living room area.

All in all, a great stop!

Great location! Rooms were big, comfortable, and clean. Staff were friendly, and it is right off the interstate. Plenty of places nearby to eat, get gas, etc.

The rooms were affordable, worth the price and I will stay here again as I drive through next time.

My family and I visit my in-laws at least once a year in Athens and the Fairfield Inn has become our choice as we usually need at least 2-3 rooms for all the kids and grands. Our most recent stay was Dec. 27-30 and we must give a shout out to the afternoon/evening clerk Jordan. Jordan was absolutely great. Very helpful and very professional.

I travel for work and stay in hotels more than my own house, so I’ve seen a lot. This hotel is my favorite out of the many I’ve stayed at. It smells clean when you walk inside and the rooms are always spotless. The entire staff is extremely friendly and ready to help with whatever you need. From front desk to the workers who clean and service the rooms, everyone is amazing. You can tell they all take pride in helping to provide a valuable service and all deserve a raise! If you are in the area for business or pleasure, make this the hotel you choose - you’ll be happy you did.

At 1100pm on Christmas Eve this hotel would rent a room to a Father, his teen son, and 20-month-old twins.

Unlike the Holiday Inn who refused, because my driver's license didn't have my updated address on it.

Thankful for it, this is a much nicer hotel.

I want say this place is super clean! When you walk inside it smell amazing! The employees are extremely nice and welcoming. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had staying at a hotel. Our room was clean and very nice. Unfortunately, The bed was very uncomfortable and the outside noise was annoying. I could here cars going up down the street. I will stay here again when I travel through.

We loved our 4 night stay here while touring all over eastern TN. The hotel staff were very friendly and have great customer service. When I made my reservation over the phone here back in February, the employee was also very friendly and kept a conversation going that made me feel good about coming to stay here. The entire property was kept clean, and the complementary breakfast had many good options to choose from as well. We had hot water every morning for showers, and the shower heads were very nice as well. I just loved it here. Highly recommended!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay at this hotel was but I will try. Talk about clean! From the moment you walk in the lobby you can smell and feel the cleanliness! The staff is super friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. Check in was swift and our room was fresh and pristine! Only downside was the interstate noise. I could hear the traffic just a tad as we were on that side of the building. Breakfast was wonderful with an abundance of options and the staff were available and welcoming to us as we arrived. I have stayed on two occasions and I couldn't be happier with this hotel. If you are looking for a relaxing place to rest, look no further!!

We understand the hotel is four years old. At the time of our visit the bottom three floors were closed due to a break in the sprinkling system. Nevertheless, the hotel common areas were very clean and our room was spotless. Very large bathroom with nice tub / shower and good lighting (my wife made me say that). Bed was very comfortable. Didn’t use the pool or fitness room but they appeared to be clean and well maintained. Staff was welcoming and friendly. The complimentary breakfast was what you’d expect but still good and fast enough to get us back on the road. We’ll likely stay here again next time we’re passing through. An overall good value.

Very clean. Bed was a little hard for these old bones. But all in all good. Would stay there again.

I came in town for the Perry Stone Conference and really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. For someone who normally stays in 4 star hotels, this was the nicest and cleanest 2 star hotel that I've stayed in. The hotel looked and smelled fresh and clean when you first walk in the lobby and also the other parts of the hotel. The room was bigger than what I thought it would be but most importantly, the room had icy cold AC!! I sleep much better when my room is on the cooler side and I was happy to find out that I could set the thermostat at a temp that was comfortable for me. Some hotels have the AC controlled by corporate or some other outside group. Terrie, the breakfast buffet manager was amazing (Give her a raise)! She not only made sure that the buffet had enough food, but she also had friendly interactions with the hotel guests. She made sure that everyone was happy, well fed and comfortable with the breakfast buffet area. I am glad that turkey sausage was available along with the pork sausage for us who don't partake in swine. I hope that the next time I stay there, there will be more of a variety of breakfast items (maybe breakfast potatoes, bacon). I was very impressed and look forward to staying there again next summer.

Just off the highway and only 30 mins from Watts Bar. Nice clean rooms and reasonable prices.

This place is top-notch for this level of hotel. I slept great. The rooms have good A/C and breakfast is out at 6:00 for those who care.

One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in. Everything felt very clean and the employees were friendly. Was in town for a wedding but would stay here again if the opportunity arose.

To start, Stacy the front desk clerk is super friendly, she was amazing and went above and beyond during my stay. The rooms are clean and spacious and modern. Great for a long stay like mine was! So glad we are staying here!

The motel was clean ,however need to work on more outlets near bed , for electronics, c-pap machine & phone

Just passing by and stopped early to rest. Just as you walk in you are welcomed by an amazing fragrance in the lobby, and some ice cold lime infused water. So refreshing after a long drive! The rooms are so welcoming, comfortable and cozy. Not to mention spotless!! My 10 month old slept the WHOLE night with how comfortable the bed was! Breakfast was great after it was refilled. All in all a great nights stay. Will definitely return if we ever pass by!

Great experience and value! I came up to finish my scuba certification in the Loch Low-Minn and was agonizing over finding the best hotel. This one was the best out of all the ones my group booked! Free breakfast and enthusiastic staff went a long way, and the giant bathroom did not hurt!

Needed a room for my daughter as she travelled back to Ohio for college. The front desk was amazing and helped me without issue. I cannot thank the staff enough.
