My previous vet clinic was unable to schedule an appt for my dog to have a check-up to become a certified therapy dog.
I contacted Bowman Animal Hospital, and they saw Buddy that same day. Dr. Butler and her team were very kind to Buddy, and it made me feel good to be in the room with them. From this experience, I highly recommend Bowman Animal Hospital.
They care about your animal for sure!

Had a great experience at Bowman's with my kitty, Milo. He went there to have a dental cleaning and some extractions. The staff was efficient and polite and Dr. Butler was wonderful. Milo had 3 teeth extracted, came home and immediately wanted to eat. Did fantastic with his recovery. Thank you Dr. Butler and staff for taking such great care of my boy! (and sorry if he was grumpy with you guys!)

I went to Bowman on a recommendation from my neighbor, so a big shout out to her!! This was a first/wellness visit and assistants, Varsha and Kyle, and Dr. Butler herself were so at ease with my big boy Blu! He absolutely loved the attention (and the peanut butter) and was so relaxed even when face to face. After his exam, Dr. Butler and her assistants spent quality time with me discussing Blu's history and recommendations for his care and well being. I can't gush enough about the whole experience!

Recently moved back to the area and it was time for my cat’s vaccinations and wellness check. My rescue kitty is a big boy over 20 pounds. The front desk went above and beyond having a room ready so I could carry him straight thru making it easier vs his huge carrier.
Next up was Kyle, technician. His demeanor was so calm and caring for my cat making it extremely pleasant. Kyle walked thru everything, gave me quotes and let me decide what was best. No pressure, complete professional and understanding.
Kyle captured all my questions, made sure they had my cat’s previous records and relayed everything to Dr. Bejat.
Dr. Bejat came in and was patient with all my questions regarding vaccinations and diet for my cat. He took his time explaining everything and actively listening to my concerns.
Dr. Bejat and Kyle were professional and empathetic when giving my cat his shots and during his checkup.

Dr. Bejat printed off my cat’s care plan and came back and walked me thru everything. I’ve never experienced such a thorough and truly caring vet office.

I rescued my cat when he was almost 3 and he got extremely nervous at the previous vet regardless of it being a cat only vet. My cat travels with me and enjoys it except when we pulled into the vet. He would became nervous as soon as we arrived.
This time was completely different thanks to Kyle, Dr. Bejat and the lovely ladies at the front desk.
When it was time to leave, Kyle kindly checked that no other animals were in the lobby so I could bring my cat to the car. My cat was in his harness and on his leash and calmly walked out checking everything out and greeting the staff. This was the true test that my cat was a happy boy.
I haven’t told him he has to lose weight yet 🤣 I’ll wait until later.
Cats are unique and it can be challenging finding a vet that understands them.
I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Bejat and Kyle is his fav technician.

My husband and I have 2 older German shepherds and we recently switched them to Bowman’s. We are sooooo happy with the care our dogs have received. Dr Taylor is an outstanding vet and all the staff are extremely conscientious! We would HIGHLY recommend this practice if you are searching for a practice that is knowledgeable and caring❤❤❤

We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Sanders yesterday with our pit, Sammi. We are unable to bring our dog into the facility due to seizures and Dr. Sanders and her technician were absolutely wonderful with her. It’s hard having a dog who hates the vet - but the wonderful staff at Bowman Animal hospital makes our dog (almost) enjoy it! The entire clinic is clean and every person who works there is friendly and accommodating to any special needs your dog may have. They offer the option for pre-medicating your dogs to help with anxiety as well! Dr Crossno spent a full hour with my dog on the first visit - and she so patient in earning her trust and performing her yearly exam. We went back for more vaccinations this week and our dog did exceptionally well thanks to the amazing staff - and the pork rinds and peanut butter helped too! Every other vet we’ve been to has made us feel like a burden because of our dogs fear, just trying to get the appointment over quickly and not being thorough because of her reactivity - that is NOT the case here!

13 years ago I throughly researched King Charles Cavalier Spaniels (I also have a rescue lab mix). I went to several breeders and purchased two from a home breeder in N VA. Lovely animals. I’ve adored them. But these type pups are kinda like owning a race horse. Many have inherited health issues but not all. Mine did

One passed about five years ago and my Lily is 12 and I don’t think her runway is super long. I’m working to make sure she leaves us, when it’s time, like I want to go.

So, my review is about Dr Bowman. A rock star vet! She personally checks in with me. Like daily by text or phone. We aren’t doing anything crazy as she has a nasty heart and is older. But Dr Bowman won’t throw the towel in. And Lily is actually doing better. She’s not on a bunch of drugs and is pain free. I’m so glad I’ve trusted this animal hospital to care for my dogs these last 12 years.

Bowman Animal Hospital is the best. They've cared for my fur babies for two decades through all phases of life. Great compassion for you and your companion pal. And, importantly, the highest level of care.

Both of my girls go to Bowman. I love the staff there they are so friendly and my girls feel at home especially when they bring out the snacks. Check up for both are always pleasant, Thanks for making sure my girls stay healthy with your recommendations.

Bowman was amazing! My dog has horrible anxiety at the vet after being treated for heart worm several years ago. The Vet Assistant Hannah was amazing with my dog Stella helping her to be calm as not stressed as possible. So much so Stella actually looked a little upset after she left the room.

The appointment was quick, but didn’t feel rushed. Everyone who I spoke to was very friendly and happy to answer questions. The price was also excellent compared to my old vet in Virginia. Bowman is without a doubt where Stella will be going for now on.

Recently boarded both of my Rescue Pitbulls and they took very good care of them. Being new to the area, I was a little nervous, but they were extremely thorough in getting all of their history and sent me pictures & texts throughout their stay. One of my boys suffers from anxiety and he was clearly happy with his stay there. Office is clean & staff is caring & friendly. My Boys were happy campers! I would recommend! 👍🐾

The entire staff at Bowman Animal Hospital are outstanding. They understand our "special needs" pets, and work with each one in a caring and thoughtful way. They also actively listen to our concerns without rushing us, to allow for a responsive and thorough health plan for our pets. Leroy seems to do well when we board him at Bowman’s . The staff seems to genuinely enjoy working with him for all things: boarding, wellness and sick visits. I feel confident in the care and recommendations given by Dr Merriman especially.

I appreciate how they value my time by being efficient as well as knowledgeable and caring. My dog never balks at the entrance! She also looks terrific when she exits after a grooming appointment!

Our family wants to extend our appreciation to Dr. Taylor for taking such excellent care of our dog Rex. He has been battling some tough issues for the past couple years and she has been there for every concern and always led us in the best direction. She not only takes excellent care of Rex but also educates us with every question we have had along the way in a graciously kind and effective manner so we can tend to all his needs. She is the BEST! Bowman is a great animal hospital. I have taken my cats there for many years and they have highly qualified vets that truly care about animals. They are not inexpensive but I believe competitive with pricing. They are always very clear and up front about pricing and they will offer alternatives as to what is highly recommended versus optional. Both Vet techs and Vets are really good with cats.

So far we have been very happy to have our pet rats treated here at Bowman Animal Hospital. Exotic pet vets are few and far between in the area and are typically very expensive. We’ve been to Bowman twice now, once for a well/new patient exam and once for a sick visit and found both to be very reasonably priced and thorough. The staff is always delighted to see our babies which nice, especially when you can’t go in with them. I have already recommended them to several other rat owners in the area.
