As part of the family and a Realtor at our family business, I have seen so many wonderful connections made. As with any rental housing or property management, you will find tenants who get upset for leaving a property in unpleasant conditions rendering a claim on a security/damage deposit. But the landlord or owner always gets blamed. This real estate office has been active in business for close to 50 years. There is a great amount of experience and business savvy to benefit from. We have seen the highs and lows of this industry and I pride myself on the ability to learn from working at this office.

The negative review from Petteway was from her father not giving notice as required to vacate and then doing damage to the unit upon vacating. Actually Katie lived in unit 1127 and this post from her was on her dads unit 1111. I have been renting residential units in Mount Dora for over 44 years and this is the first negative review I ever had. Just a disgruntled tenant that tried to get back at a landlord for doing damages and not receiving her fathers deposit back.

Tired family business.

Buddy Atkins will take any chance he can to keep your deposit. I had to pay an extra months rent because he thought I left a large wet spot/stain on the carpet, and later he found out that it was a leak in the bathtub coming through the wall. But I never got my money back. I do not recommend renting from him.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE!!! Buddy Atkins is the most crooked, smooth talking swindler in Central Florida and should have his licence revoked!! He'll smile and massage your ego while making unfair and unethical assurances that he gets paid while you get screwed! I encourage so many others that have been taken for a ride to report him, picket his office and/or write to anyone that matters what he did to you!! Let's get this slime packing and not encourage this stereotype of a Florida Realtor/Broker to continue business!
