It is not an exaggeration to say that our Moon Valley delivery is the highlight of each week. When one of us is not there the other records an ‘unboxing’ because we simply can’t wait to see what’s inside. The produce is uniformly gorgeous and delicious and the team and customer service cannot be topped. Receiving this bounty every week has made me feel so much more connected to the region and land I live on—what a gift. If you’re considering a CSA membership, do NOT hesitate! It’s easily the best money we spend and such a joyful fixture in our life 💗🍑

I'm loving this. I have a subscription for a small box every week. It's just enough for me and my husband. I'm happy to get this because it's making me try and cook things that I've never eaten before. It's a great way to add more plants into your diet, which is why I got the subscription in the first place. The veggies are so fresh and I feel so good getting food directly from farms and knowing where my food is coming from specifically. And if there is something you don't like, they make it so easy to make swaps. I will say that sometimes, I don't care to cook certain weeks so I'll have an abundance of veggies left. They make it so easy to skip a week or to donate that weeks box. A simple email. I'm so happy to have become part of this co-op. It's so worth it.

My husband and I did a lot of research before choosing a CSA and Moon Valley has been an absolute delight. Not only is the produce varied and incredibly high quality, but the flexibility of swapping out items, adding on more items from their virtual farmers market, and pausing for a week if you’re out of town makes it incredibly easy to integrate into our cooking habits. I love the newsletters and recipe ideas they share, and they’re proactive communicators about any potential changes in delivery or seasonal shifts. Highly recommend!

We love moon valley farm! We’ve been getting their boxes for a few years and it has been incredible. The quality of the produce is fantastic and the customer service is always excellent. We love that this is a community minded business, we were lucky enough to have moon valley donate 75 pumpkins to our school last year for Halloween. Really an amazing way to get beautiful fruits and vegetables all year round!

We signed up for Moon Valley’s CSA earlier this year after looking for a local, organic farm that would deliver to our area. I was impressed by their offerings online, which made adding extras like tofu, micro greens, bread and fruit to our weekly order a breeze! The quality over the last few months has been impeccable and the variety is excellent- it’s a great mix of staple items with a few things to get us out of our comfort zone (but not too far!) The delivery is super helpful and we look forward to our surprise box on our porch every week. The drivers are also super friendly, and I love how Moon Valley is active in the community- offering farm visits and lobbying for change in the organic/farm industry. We’re so glad we joined their CSA!

Such a great experience with the Moon Valley Farm CSA! The produce is excellent; the cherry tomatoes are some of the best I’ve ever tasted. They provide a great variety of veggies - it has been fun to experiment with new and different foods. Perfect for the cook who likes to improvise with what the bounty provides! Recipe suggestions provided on their Facebook page. They also make it very easy to cancel or put a hold on orders when you’re going out of town & have pickup & delivery options to make it easy for you to schedule. Customer service is also fantastic. Highly recommend!

LOVE this place. I just signed up for the small perennial box and no to be dramatic but it’s AMAZING. Not only is it conveniently dropped right on my doorstep, but the veggies are SO worth it. You can tell they are super fresh, grown without chemicals and grown with love. Highly recommend. Anytime I’ve had questions they are answered super quickly. If you’re serious about eating good food like me then you need to get yourself some weekly veggies. (They also have bi-weekly which is perfect if you live alone)

Such a great place to pick strawberries! The farm has a very home feeling too it! Great place for kids. Super friendly people!

Have absolutely loved being a customer of Moon Valley Farm's weekly CSA share. Great quality products, love the ability to customized/swap what is in the weekly box, plus add on items both from MVF and other producers. Fantastic value for the cost, and love how the farm box pushes my family to try different vegetables--who knew my daughter would be such a big kohlrabi fan???

Moon Valley Farm holds a special place in our hearts, cultivating a connection that spans years and seasons. I first encountered their delicious produce while working as a server at Woodberry Kitchen. Fast forward and we've been getting a small share box delivered to our home for several years. During the challenging times of the pandemic, the weekly farm box brought a sense of normalcy and abundance to our doorstep.

Really love their CSA - I get the biweekly medium box and it's the perfect amount for two people. It's really fun getting new and different vegetables you don't usually buy and finding recipes for them. Plus you end up eating more veggies and focusing your meals around them which I think has helped me eat better in 2024. The deliveries themselves are super easy and always during the promise hours. Can't recommend them enough and can't wait to see all the awesome stuff heading my way later this year.

We have tried many different CSA-adjacent produce services in the DC Metro Area, and I can say by far that Moon Valley Farm is the single best option, hands down. The quality of the produce is fantastic and there is always a great variety of produce types that helps us create a well-rounded meal plan each week. They are also a breeze to communicate with and they are just all around a fantastic business to support.

Moon Valley was the first CSA box I have ever ordered, and I couldn't be more happy with their customer service and the produce they harvest. They have expanded their options through the years and are always transparent and quick to update us on any changes. If you choose them as your produce provider, you will discover how fresh and organic produce should be! We admire their work ethic and transparency in everything they do!

Moon Valley Farm is really doing CSA right! They have a lot of flexibility in their CSA subscriptions, including the ability to swap items and skip weeks. I'm signed up for their peak-season fruit share this year and I am really looking forward to sweet local fruit! I also had the good fortune to visit their farm today for their first Strawberry Festival where I picked 6 pints of strawberries straight from the field. It was a great experience and I can't wait to do it again next year.

I am coming up on a year of being a perennial subscriber with Moon Valley Farm. The selections available through this CSA are exceptional and everything is always fresh. I love the ability to swap items in my weekly box, as well as add items from the online store. A great experience!

We joined the CSA this spring, and we have loved all the fresh produce to incorporate into our meals. The quality difference between store-bought and Moon Valley produce is dramatic. It has also forced us to cook with new vegetables (e.g., Celeriac), which is fun! The swapping & farmer's market add ons is a nice feature. I look forward to our box every week.

Emma and her family are absolutely wonderful and kind. When she was first opening the farm, she hosted potlucks and community gatherings where my children and I were able to learn about various plants and growth techniques. We were even inspired to start a little backyard plot as well as a community garden with neighbors. Her produce is delicious and her management has always been community oriented and sustainable. So grateful for them!

I get a weekly veggie box delivered to a pick up site in D.C. every week. It’s amazing! The produce is local and the variety is great. I can substitute things I don’t want and it’s cheaper than buying produce at Safeway or Whole Foods. I even went to the farm when they had a plant sale to see the fields and production first hand. The pick up is really easy for me but they also do home delivery. I love the fruit share they offer during the summer months. I value that my produce is grown within 50 miles of where I live, and I get a variety of items which really helps me expand my veggie intake. They also send you recipes for using what’s in your box. Super happy with this as an option for fresh local groceries.

Absolutely obsessed with my Moon Valley subscription! I did a little bit of research about local CSAs and Moon Valley was highly recommended by folks in my area.

Because I hate food waste, this subscription forces me to eat more vegetables. And I love that I often get veggies outside of what I normally reach for.

I am most excited about upcoming tomato season, and I may end up increasing my subscription size to max out on exquisite summer tomatoes…..

TL;DR I eat more veggies while supporting local farmers.
