Fun place to hang, chat, and relax. If I find the sailboat I'm looking for great. IF...someone gets my wife on board to purchase that West Wright Potter... Salesman of the year award and 6-stars for sure!

Had boat transported from Florida. Feel like we landed in best place possible. Have dealt with service manager Phil, mechanic Adam and guys in the yard. All knowledgeable and helpful. Service manager Phil returns phone calls and emails promptly, just don’t find this kind of service anywhere. Quality of workmanship is amazing.

Large company with numerous locations. Boat sales, boat repair, and boat storage. They have large cranes to lift your boat in and out of Lake Michigan, with well trained staff. They are courteous and professional.

These guys are great. I have been working with Thomas and he has been extremely accommodating and has provided really great feedback / suggestions. Previously I worked with them for delivery and they were equally as efficient. This is a classic example of you get what you pay for, really great work worth every penny.

If you've never been to a boat dealership that treated you like family then you've never been here. This place is crazy outstanding!!! The friendliest people on Earth, great inventory selection and their service department (service-storage-parts) is unparalleled. They are absolutely the best in the business. Family owned, accommodating as all get out and friendly to the last drop!!! I've bought two boats from them and if I buy another I won't go anywhere else. These people have got it all over their competition, no question about it, hands down - the best!!!

I'm rating this a 5 because it's my favorite restaurant in the summer to frequent! It is located in the same parking lot as Skipper Buds, not sure why Google is not picking up the location of the Tropics! This place is awesome! The best menu, wide variety, sandwiches, fish, bbq ribs, chicken, Prime Rib (the best) on Saturdays! Over looking lake Michigan and the harbor always so much to see when you dine outside. Fun music DJ and karaoke nights. Great place for a small wedding!! Visit the Tropics as soon as they open which I think is in the spring. Super friendly staff, awesome Mai Tai's severed in a plastic cup that changes colors when it's cold also yours to take home!

OK here is the story. 10 years ago we bought a pontoon boat from Skipper Bud's in Volo IL. We had no idea what we wanted and the salesman was knowledgeable, patient and sold us a terrific boat that we enjoyed and they took care of for the past 10 years. Now as seasoned boat owners (HA) you understand what you want and all the different boats that are out there. We decided to buy a new bigger Pontoon boat and knew what we were looking for. Our Same salesman Jack was right there to take the time, show us all the options and to not rush us at all. I even drove up to Madison WI to see a boat they had up there. The one I went to see did not fit what we were looking for, but there was another one there that we loved and bought. You can buy a boat anywhere, but for us Skipper Bud's has been a great supplier and two new boats and their service department has worked to make sure that when we want to go boating the darn thing runs and looks good.

Can't say enough wonderful things about SkipperBud's at Wintrhop Harbor. Owning a boat would be a whole lot harder without them. I've been storing and servicing my boat there for three years and every interaction/repair/launch is better than the last. They're far and away the most attentive and responsive group of people, aside from being knowledgeable, helpful and reliable. (Enormous thanks to Debb and Jim who personally walked/talked me through the first year of boat ownership. Can't tell you how much I appreciated your levels of patience and communication.) SB is an especially great place to store your boat if you live in Chicago. The local Metra stop is a short walk from the marina.

Very convenient and seamless way to store your boat in Chicago. I recommend driving the boat directly here- no trailer required!

Skipper Bud is so friendly. He gave a tour of two of his beautiful boats even though he knew we weren't buying. He remembers me even I come back to town.

Food was tasty and our server was polite. There was a minor problem with the accuracy of our order but our server quickly remedied the problem.
