Sweet Lou's Restaurant & Tap House

The food was great. I had the ribeye pork and my wife had the seared salmon. Both were excellent. The atmosphere is awesome. If you’re here during the summer season, sit outside and you’ll get a view of Lake Coeur d’Alene. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Third time here and it has been great everytime. Christian was our server and he went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. Great food, great vibe, and overall great experience.

We recently dined at Sweet Lou's for the first time. We were thoroughly impressed by the quality of food and the service. The food here was delicious! The onion rings were some of the best we've ever eaten, perfectly crisp and flavorful. The fries were a stand out as well, crispy outside and creamy potato inside that made them irresistible. My burger was excellent, and everyone at our table enjoyed their meals immensely. The menu offers so many tempting choices that we're already planning our next visit to try several more items.

Additionally, the attentiveness and recommendations from our server enhanced our dining experience. Overall, this restaurant exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to return.

Absolutely delicious! The food disappeared from our plates. Service was wonderful - our waitress was funny, friendly and kind. Loved the patio (dog-friendly and great views).

Busy Wednesday lunch. They got us right in. We shared the birria egg rolls, one of the egg rolls had a blowout and the filling was super crispy but otherwise they were excellent.

Food was excellent! Good quality, cooked like we asked. The Bison burger I had was very tender & juicy. My wife's chicken fried steak was the best she's had in a long time.
The service was friendly & quick. Everything came out right on time. We both loved the 80's Rock videos playing on one of the many big screen TVS. Especially since it matched the music playing. It wasn't too loud so you could have a conversation. There was also NFL and a college football game playing on the TVS.

We walked in and the first thing I said is "Oh its so comfortable in here!" Such a chill layed back place. Our drinks were great, the food was amazing, and the service was fantastic. Our server was kind and helpful. We started with queso dip and pretzel and it was huge! I don't think we had even eaten the whole thing between the three of us before our meals arrived. The queso was great, but we missed having stone ground mustard too, so just asked and they had some back in the kitchen she brought out! I got the BBQ chicken sandwich which was delicious - I think if I had any criticism, it would be to have just a touch more BBQ sauce on the chicken. One friend got the Cuban and the other just a basic cheeseburger. We all selected the fries and they were perfect. Everything was great tasting and well cooked. Plus an amazing view!! Great lunch spot!!

Great place, tried the one in Sandpoint and was really disappointed but decided to try it again in CDA and was not disappointed at all

Really great food I got the shrimp tacos , bucket of fries, wife got the grilled pbj and onion rings, son got the grilled cheese, everything was really tasteful and delicious.

The worst part of eating here is the parking, but that’s not the restaurants fault 😂

We were 8 people there. Pork ribeye that I followed the waiter's recommendation and the dish was great! Local 🍺 was 👍 too. We also ordered a few starters and Calamari with a little spicy mayo sauce was so yummy to me

We really enjoyed Sweet Lou's. Our waiter Eric was very friendly, courteous and attentive. We sat on the heated patio which has spectacular views of the lake! It was a very fun yet peaceful place and all of the staff were very friendly 😀! The food was great! I had the African Chicken Peanut soup. It had a nice spice, but not overly spicy. I also had the Brisket Tacos which were awesome. My son had a Mushroom Swiss Burger. A great experience!

5 stars all the way around. Great food & fantastic service. The BBQ sauce on the ribs was a little too spicy for my grandson. Our server quickly swapped them out for their delicious mac & cheese - no charge. Wonderful experience. We'll be back for sure.

Today’s lunch with a friend was perfect. Service from Darin M. was exceptional. He was attentive but gave us space to enjoy our lunch and chat. The steak was perfect for me and my friend’s burger was cooked exactly like she liked. Cheesecake was a great way to end. The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. (The only feedback was flickering can lights in the far corner by the window.. might fix those!😊)

Use Darin as a trainer! His joy for what he does radiates && will elevate your restaurant even more than it already is. Great job to the cooks for perfectly cooked meals.

We go here regularly. One of our favorites in town. Prices have gotten a bit high, yet are still competitive against similar establishments. They recently updated their menu, and it is fantastic and creative. Their service and attitudes are always refreshing, and the food is always on point. It was an amazing addition for them to get their full liquor license. The only thing that could be better for both customers and Sweet Lou's business model at this location is a larger dining area, but that will be a challenge for sure, given its location within the tower. Hope this place stays a CDA staple for years to come.

Highly recommended. The food was excellent, portions generous. The kids meals had more than enough for our 7 and 9 year old boys. Potatoe skins were great for an appetizer. Awesome location right across from the park with a large patio space.

Great experience! We were travelling with our dog, and we called Sweet Lou's to see if we could bring her. Cody answered and was very accomodating. They basically opened the patio just for us. Was early April, so the weather was still chilly (50 degrees), but the patio is covered and heated. Colby our server was tremendous as well. Food was very tasty - great menu. Highly recommended!

Sweet Lou’s Restaurant & Tap House offers great food and service. I’m a fan of rare burgers and was surprised when the Bison Burger was cooked exactly how I requested. Fries were fantastic and the fry sauce was delicious (sometimes fry sauce can taste like apples but not here). My partner had the Mac & Jacks Amber, and I had the White Stout from Kettlehouse. Both were from draft and are remarkable beverages. This is one of the few great American restaurants where you can get quality food and service at a darn good price. We will be back here ASAP!

Food was excellent. I got the sirloin steak with blue cheese and mushroom. The steak was cooked as asked and there was PLENTY of blue cheese which was delicious. The vegetables were fresh and not mushy like other places and the potatoes were tasty! My husband got a 60/40 burger and was also very pleased. Most of all the staff was amazing! Kind, on top of it, super kid friendly!

Ate here yesterday and everything was SUPER tasty. I especially appreciated that their kids meals contained vegetables and fruit as sides, which many restaurants don’t. Our server was also super friendly and attentive.

This was our first time here, service was really good, environment was clean and upbeat. Food was very delicious, no complaints! For appetizer we had the Selkirk nachos, which had pulled pork on it! And my dinner I had the peppercorn steak with loaded mashed potatoes and baked beans, it was very delicious I had a strawberry mint cooler as my drink. My wife had the western burger which had a very thick patty and pulled pork on it!

Delicious! Kayla was great! She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and looked like she enjoyed her job.
