Classic city park venue on a grand scale. Huge play fort, basketball courts, lots of picnic tables, mature shade trees. Lake side within walking distance of downtown. Local gem that sets Coeur d'Alene apart

I have come to this park since I was 12 years old and how it has changed over the years.
It's a a great park situated on the shores of Lake Coeur D' Alene with lots of open area for picnics, Frisbee, Basketball, Volleyball and of course swimming and all the other lake activities.
The artwork (by mostly local artists) that they have added over the years is amazing and of course finding Mudgy and Millie at various locations (a total of 5) along the trail has always been fun for the kids, inspired by a local author.
Dogs are welcome and please be mindful of others so this continues to be an option for dog lovers, there are not many pet friendly area's anymore.
As always leave it better than you found it and enjoy 😉.

Such a great park and playground! The kids loved it. It was even a dreary rainy day and we still had a blast! One of the best playgrounds we have been on ever. So big and so well designed. We love the fort look to it all too! It let the kids imagination go wild!

My 3 yr old was super stoked playing at this playground. The majority of the kids inside the park are for the most part pretty respectful so it definitely creates good vibes in the area

Lots of parking right on the water. There is nice park with a beach with plenty of space, at least in September. We brought our blow up SUP and went out on the lake, the water was super clear. Parking is expensive $3.00 per hr and it says no rv

Absolutely serene! I’ve been to quite a few lakes in my lifetime but NEVER have I experienced a lake and city park area like Coeur d’Alene City Park. I reside in Spokane, WA and went to Coeur d’Alene to purchase an item from Facebook market place. The seller asked where I was coming from and o told her Spokane. The seller then insists for us (my family) to explore Coeur d’Alene and do not leave until we see the lake at Coeur d’Alene Park. I was in Aah. The park is so clean! The piers were close so the kids could get front row seats to see boats. Then we get to the water…. I have never encountered water so clear and inviting. I had to touch the water which was surprisingly not cold like all other lakes. I’m telling you that this lake seemed to be one of a dream in which I didn’t want to wake. The peoples of the city were so nice and welcoming, I was blown away with the kindness we received. We didn’t make it all around the park because I had to rush back to Washington for appts but we did in fact stay for 2 hours just enjoying the water, the sun, and friendly residents of the city! I encourage everybody that has not been to this lake/park to check it out because you will definitely have a beautiful RELAXED experience. The pictures I have do not give the park any justice mainly because my pics are in one area, my phone died in about 15 mins of being there 😒, you will have to see for yourself! 😎

Absolutely beautiful park and beach!! Restrooms are large and clean and close to both the beach and playground. The playground is amazing, your littles may want to stay and play for quite a while there. There's plenty of room on the sandy shore for everyone. Perfect for floaties and swimming. You may want a light anchor for your floaty as there are times the current brings you back to shore.
It is wheelchair accessible from the parking lot and around the cemented pathways throughout the park. I didn't see wheelchair access to the beach however. You would need to walk down a few steps to reach the sand.

Great place to relax and chill out. We did try out kayaking at the lake and it was so fun. Finally we found an ice cream food truck that offered us egg-free ice cream! Best way to cool off the summer heat!

This is one of my grandkids' fave places due to the beautiful beach and the adjacent whimsical park, nothing like these jewels anywhere else. My grands nicknamed the place "Princess Park" because during special events there, they often see Disney royalty strolling through!

Super nice little park, perfect stop on our trip from the Seattle area out to Glacier National Park in Montana. Good food near by and shops to buy souvenirs and drinks. 👍👍👍

It was a beautiful fall day at the City Park and wondering the beach and harbor made for a fun day trip from Spokane. The waterfront impressive our group so much that we are planning a trip back in the summer to experience the park in all its glory. The park is right down the street from downtown shopping experience and has plenty of small town charm.

So many fun things to do at the city park! There is always something happening, and the views are incredible. The last thing we did there was Art on the Green and the street fair which we made a special trip into town for.

I have to score this place with 6 stars. 5 aren't enough for Coeur D'Alene. This place is tooo beautiful, relaxing, sunny and natural. You can find plenty of restaurants and bars around the lake. It is a walkable and bicycle friendly park to be at. Also if you want to rent a kayak (10/20 usd) a sailboat (40/70 usd), parasiling (65/80) or even to be inside a plane (100-150) and have a look of the lake, it will be a great plan.

Beautiful place to spend your time either on sunny or cloudy day. I'm very positive that this place looks 100 times more beautiful than what you can see in the pictures I took on a cloudy day. Just get yourself prepare for the cold weather if you plan to spend time in a cloudy day. Thick sweater, weatherproof gloves and long pants are a must to make yourself comfy
