Bistro 245

I recently attended a wedding reception at Bistro 245, located at the Opal Key West, and I couldn’t have been more impressed. With a small group of friends, we experienced top-notch service and delicious food in a stunning setting.

For my meal, I started with a Caesar salad that was crisp and flavorful, the perfect way to kick off the evening. The highlight, however, was the shrimp and lobster fettuccine—an absolutely delicious dish that was both rich and perfectly balanced. To cap off the night, we shared a piece of coconut cake that was simply divine.

From start to finish, the experience at Bistro 245 was outstanding. The staff was attentive, the ambiance was beautiful, and the food was truly exceptional. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a great meal in Key West, Bistro 245 is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Bistro 245 is a fantastic choice for a team dinner! The upscale ambiance and delicious menu perfectly complemented our evening after a long day of drone training. The staff was attentive and accommodating, ensuring our group felt welcomed and well-cared for. The fresh seafood options were exceptional, and the wine selection was impressive. Bistro 245 provided the perfect setting for relaxation, good food, and great company. We highly recommend this restaurant for a memorable dining experience.

Dinner & breakfast were delicious. The service was great and it was a beautiful atmosphere, situated right on the water. Exactly the kind of dining experience we wanted in Key West. We can’t wait to go back someday.

Elegant without being stuffy. The service was top notch, including the bar staff on the upper level. The restaurant was recommended to us and we're glad we went. The view was spectacular.

Just had drinks at the casual patio by the water. Amazing place to have a beer and watch the sunset.

Fantastic service from our server, Shannon. Although we did not have food, they have a bar menu of sandwiches and fries, which are surprisingly reasonable for probably the best spot near Mallory Square at sunset.

The location is great, the food is somewhat limited, but tasty.

The air-conditioned interior while a bit run down is still great in the hot weather despite all the dripping water.

Beautiful place to watch the sunset. We shared the crab cakes before our boat ride out to Latitudes - they were delicious!

I was a little apprehensive about making a reservations based on other reviews but my wife insisted for a sunset Father's Day Dinner. After a few bad dinners in Key West all I kept saying was I hope the food was worth the price!!!

Upon arrival they asked if we wanted outside or inside. It was extremely hot so we sat inside right next to the windows with a clear view of the sunset.

Shannon was our waitress and she was amazing/wonderful!!!! All her recommendations were on point.

The food was outstanding. One member of our party has shellfish allergies and she told us what we could get and what she could have the kitchen alter so we could get some apps. Everything from apps, to entrees to dessert was amazing. I ordered the Yellow Snapper stuffed with Crab Meat but wanted the sides from the Truffle Crusted Grouper and she made it happen. All four us thoroughly enjoyed this dining experience.

4 Apps, 4 Entrees, 2 desserts, 2 coffees and 1 cappuccino was mid $220s before tip.

Was it pricey? Yes
Would we do it again? Absolutely!!!

I loved both of the dishes I tried. I had the crab cakes, and I think it was called the Caribbean Seafood salad. Both were great! No weird fishy after taste, so it must have been very fresh. The guacamole with the crab cakes was also tasty.

Ruslan provided excellent service. When I arrived, I was parched since the felt temperature was 99. The grouper sandwich with pasta salad was great.

Bistro 245 appeared to me as a beautiful restaurant with sunning views of the sunset; we had dinner and it was just amazing; great views, amazing food, lovely service and a clean environment. An awesome experience for my family.

Great place to eat if you want to sit and have a relaxing meal with a beautiful view. It is connected to the Opal resort but it is open to anyone. The food is very nice and pretty quick to come out of the kitchen. The menu is varied and plentiful. There is interior and exterior seating available. The pigeons are somewhat a nuisance but the staff does a good job removing plates once you are finished eating to avoid the birds. Prices are moderately set according to the Key West standard. Breakfast for 4 might be in the $80 range. I would definitely recommend this establishment.

Cannot give enough 5 stars. We were staying at the hotel but came in late and we’re starving. We planned to eat at another restaurant in key west but we’re too hungry to wait so ate here. Best. Decision. Ever. Was the best food we ate for our 5 day stay in the keys. Drinks were excellent (rum runner was not too sweet and you can taste the alcohol). Bread basket was good. I got the snapper which was perfect. The Mac and cheese and asparagus were cooked perfectly and it was amazing. I licked the plate. My mother got the chicken pasta and it was superb. Everything was cooked just right and the flavor profiles were amazing, nothing overpowering but great flavor. 100% will come back next trip.

Great seating area, wonderful view, and good breakfast . We both had mimosas and the bistro breakfast , portion was perfect and filling. (the nugget-looking item in the picture is their hashbrowns/potatoes , they were delicious)

We did the surf and turf. Great meat. Wanted more flavor from the mashed potatoes. Delicious pina colada! Got to watch the sunset! In a neat patr of town (cool night life).

One of the best restaurants we ate at in the Keys. We made reservations for 6pm which was the perfect time before the crowds gathered for sunset. We had the lobster/grouper dish and the New York strip, both were incredible. The strawberry daiquiris are to die for. We will definitely be back next time we visit Key West.

We ate here 3 times in our weeks stay in Key West! Yes it was lively. Starting with the location, it overlooks the water and is next to the evening events just down the walkway. One evening we brought in our fresh fish catch and they truly cooked all of it for my hubby and he raved about the 3 different avors they did for him. We would recommend this establishment for anyone as we ate here with our son and they had lots of healthy choices for him also.

We had a party of 18 and the waitress and staff never missed a beat. Watched a beautiful sunset and had a great dinner.
