Fat Lorenzos

My mom took me here for the first time. She hasn’t been here in 20 years but we were in the area. We started with the garlic cheesy bread and I cried when I tasted it. It’s the best garlic bread I’ve ever consumed. My mom ordered the Fat’s Salad and I got the Pasta Alfredo. The food here moved me. I am a completed different person than when I walked in. The best Italian food I’ve ever had. This is easily in my top two restaurants of all time.

Our server Nate was incredible. He was the cherry on top for our experience here. Very attentive and helpful. All the staff was super friendly and helpful.

I will 100% be coming here again and bringing friends.

This place NEVER disappoints. The food is absolutely delicious and still affordable. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Everything you order here has big portions. The slice of Fats pizza is under $6 and it's huge. This is my favorite dish on the menu. The Nicoise Salad or the hogie. I can't find this anywhere else.

Stopped here after a friend recommend we try this place. I was so glad she did. The customer service was some of the best I've experienced in a long time. They were so friendly and let my two children sample some of the gelati while we waited for our pizza. They I noticed they just finished cooking a large pan of meatballs. I commented on how delicious they looked. They guy put two in a container, added a little marinara and gave it to me to try. Incredible! Who does that.
Our food was so good. The pizza was just the right thickness for my liking.
I would definitely say to stop in and give it a try. The prices are a little steep, but it's worth it for the great food and service.

If you love garlic this is still the place to be.

The happy hours aren't as generous as before and they end at 6PM no longer at 7PM.

Mondays are half off wine and beer so that's pretty nice, will have to come back for that!

Glad to know the garlic and the Happy Hours are both still going strong! With one of the better happy hours in the city, 3-7PM 50% off beer and wine most days, you just can beat it. The pizza is always great and the atmosphere is good without it being too loud. The gelato is great in the summers but don't forget to grab some dinner here sometimes too! When in doubt, go for garlic. Yes, it's that easy!

Went in person, at night to get pizza, the gentleman who rang me up was very nice and gave five out of five service.
The location is good, close to the lake and on a few blocks from the airport and Mall of America. I'll be back!
The prices are not the lowest but the quality is above fast food quality as well.
The building is Beautiful ! I cannot believe that I haven't ever been here or heard of this place before! It's one of my favorite types of food and I had a super good experience. I feel like if I had known about it years ago I would have taken a lot of dates here because the booths have a very romantic vibe, private and small like a candle light diner for two,
And the artwork is one of a kind! The walls and the ceiling has murals, even the entryway and waiting area chairs are uniquely painted; ten out of ten for atmosphere!
I see that they have dine-in. Pick-up and online ordering services, but as my custom pizza order didn't take over ten minutes to receive I will for sure be stopping inside again.
Also ten out of ten for location, i just don't know how I missed it for so many years?

Stopped in there 15 minutes before it closed to get some pizza and the staff, even though they were cleaning up, was very kind and friendly and made us a delicious pizza pie
The large is large. Crust was good. I would definitely go back and nice selection of beverages.

WOW! This place has to be one of the absolute BEST pizza joints we've ever had the pleasure of experiencing!! First of all, the service was top-notch, very welcoming, polite, and attentive. The pizza sauce is sweet and soooo tasty! Thick-crust with the most perfect flavor, delicious cheese, and so many toppings to choose from! The cheese bread was PHENOMENAL!! If you find yourself in the area craving pizza, you will NOT be disappointed! It is a small business (hole-in-the-wall) place, but don't let that deceive you! You're in for quite the treat!

A restaurant has to really "WOW" me to get me to review it, and the food here does just that! Their Artichoke Dip appetizer has always been in My Top 5 Foods of All Time List, and my family has always loved the sausage pizza, and claim it doesn't even need any other toppings! How's THAT for a testimonial...! Try this place, you'll like it!!

Was checking out an art crawl with a friend and my dad, and just happened to pass by it and decided to go in on a random whim to see what it was about. And was NOT disappointed!!! Smelled great upon entering, inside looked fun, and ordered a slice of Fats combo, Alfrenzo, pepperoni, sausage, breadstick, and fats salad.

The slices were HUGE, tasted AMAZING, the salad was gorgeous and tasty. Service was great despite how busy it was

We had the Carne Pazza(meat lover's), Garlic cheese bread, and a scoop of mint chocolate ice cream. The cheese bread was good but could've been a little crispier. The pizza was excellent, great flavor, perfect ratio of toppings, very good crust. The ice cream was very good as well. Our server was fast, friendly, and enthusiastic. Definitely a top pizza place in the twin cities. The building itself looks rough on the outside, but it was very clean and welcoming on the inside.

We tried Fat Lorenzo’s for lunch and am glad we did! The location has a small classic pizzeria feel with the dark wood paneling and gelato counter at the front. We ordered a large pepperoni and there was more than enough for two people! The crust was thick, chewy and enjoyable to eat. The sauce was heavy (which I love) and the overall pizza was tasty. Quick and friendly service!

I'm in the area a few times a year for work, and I just had the pleasure of trying Fat Lorenzos for the first time. I've only had the pizza, but it is absolutely delicious. I travel all over the country, including to places known for their pizza like, New York and Chicago, and this is some of the best pizza I've ever had. If you're reading this trying to decide where to get some food tonight, go here.

Had heard good things about this place for quite some time and stopped in for lunch when we were in the neighborhood. Glad we did! Visiting here was a real treat. The food was great, and our server was pleasant, friendly and really was there to make sure everything was right so that we'd enjoy our meal. And, the panelled booths with the decorative murals are worth the trip all by themselves.

So, if you're in the neighborhood - or not - you should definitely stop by for a delicious Italian and a great time.

There is some free parking on site, and the location is perfect for enjoying the parks and trails of Lake Nokomis right across the street!

Awesome local old school pizza and hoagie spot. Not a bad thing on the menu. Staff is so friendly they are great.
Little on the small side but worth the wait if you have to wait.

Mostly writing because my family ordered late on Memorial Day. I’m sure the staff was ready to go home. However, they completed the order and the food was hot and DELICIOUS. Kudos to Fat’s for excellent service!

It's been a hot minute since I've had Fat Lorenzo's, so I was ecstatic that they delivered to our hotel! The driver was so kind and friendly and arrived before the estimated time! (I tried to order for delivery online and it said they don't deliver to the hotel, but when I called they said they do)

The pizza was just as amazing as I remembered! We got a cheese and a Slims with pepperoni as well as cheesebread and breadsticks. They don't skimp on toppings and it's SO fresh! The cheese pull is still like that of an 80's cartoon pizza, which is half the fun, lol. The cheesebread was different than I remembered, but still good. The breadstick was a bit dry, but still good as well. I do wish they offered honey for the crust though.

A large pizza is plenty for 4 people, but I'm happy we have leftovers! I'm really glad it's as delicious as I remembered!

I absolutely love this place. Yoi walk in and smell the aromas of cheese and meats cooking on thier pizzas. The gellato is to die for and you see it as soon as you walk in. We had the chocolates and coconut gellato and thier mixed berry gellato. Absolutely amazing. The place is small and very busy but we were able to get a table. We had their bread stick and spinach artichoke dip.

The dip was loaded with cheese that I'm still trying to digest but it was well worth it. The service was great considering how busy they were. Wait time is sometimes long and when you walk in there is a chaulk board you need to add yourself to so you can get a table.

I normally just go for gellato but we were pleases with what we has to eat and everything is very filling.

The food is so good, I have no words. The place looks small from the outside, but served big in the inside. The restaurant has their entire walls painted in a storyline. Family type restaurant, feels warm and homely. You feel amazingly happy after being fed by these fabulous people. I felt most welcomed in Minnesota with the first bite. Thank you for welcoming me to your city with heartfelt meals. Thank you from all of us Soldiers you fed when we had limited time and the crew was big🫡🇺🇸🥰Blessed your hearts and the hands that feed.

Hands down the best spot for good Italian food in the Twin Cities! Everyone’s so kind and helpful, especially Dan - he always goes above and beyond to make sure you have a good experience and you’re satisfied with your food! Don’t forget to try their gelato- it’s amazing!! :)

This is still my favorite place to get a good standard pizza. There isn't anything crazy in terms of ingredient, but they pile a ton on. The hoagies are also super delicious and massive. If you're looking for a great pizza place in South Minneapolis this is it.
