The Meatball appetizers were dynamite!
A half Popeye/BanhMi Pizza...Very delicious...the pork was OUTSTANDING on the BanhMi!!
Amazing place...great staff as well, very friendly and informative on the menu.

We haven't been able to get up to Minnesota lately so when we saw Peter Campbell on a special edition of Diners Drive-Ins and Dives Takeout Edition I got online and ordered up some pie....
That Carl the Cuban Pizza featuredvon the show is OUTSTANDING!!!
As a big fan of the Cuban Sandwich (having had various ones from Minnesota to Florida) I never even contemplated a pizza version 🤯...mind-blown!!!
The Citrus Cuban Pork is inspired! So flavorful...its what pork on all Cuban Sandwiches strive to be...paired with the shaved ham its the Dynamic Duo...a great one-two punch!
Whatever the "house cheese" is..it is the perfect cheese for this pizza, bringing the two meats together into the perfect balance of spicy and salty...the pickles and mustard are two things that I'd probably never think to put on a pizza are two ingredients that this pizza cannot be without!!
They, like Peter and Carl ( the Pizzas namesake), bring the fun to the party!!!
We were glad to hear on the TripleD Takeout episode that Peter and Carl had become friends as these two are two of our favorite chefs that we've seen on the show....I wish we had gotten the chance to meet him. We love watching him the times we seen him on TripleD and TripleG!!
I can say now that I see why Guy, Hunter, and Ryder picked the Carl The Cuban Pizza as their favorite during that episode...it is the perfect tribute to an amazing guy.

It took longer than expected but we finally made it back in person!
A repeat visit to Red Wagon Pizza Company for us last weekend and to top it off we finally got a chance to meet and talk to Peter Campbell the owner.
The Carl the Cuban pizza is named in honor of Carl Ruiz aka Carl the Cuban, who passed away much too soon (God must've been looking for a hilarious guy that could cook up some awesome food).
We first ordered the Carl pizza online during the covid deal...it's freakin awesome!!!!
Peter was gracious with his time and it was great to get a chance to say Hello.

One of my favorite pizza places! They have great crust and creative toppings. My go-to is the Off The Wagon pizza, but I've never had a pizza I didn't like here. They have some pizzas with a lot of content, and nothing is too heavy or overpowering.

This restaurant has absolutely amazing pizza. We got the Banh Mi and a sausage and green olive. Every bite was fantastic. The pizza was so great my brother had to hug our waiter as we asked him to surprise us with the pizza he thought was best. The surprise pizza was the Banh Mi, and we were not disappointed! This restaurant is worth the trip.

We even talked to a family sitting near us, and they came from Bismark, ND. This restaurant was on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, and it was on their bucket list. We will definitely be coming back to try their amazing food!

My brother also ordered a Margherita pizza to go to bring home to his wife. I didn't try it because I was already full, but it looked amazing as well.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean and organized. There is street parking as well as a small parking lot on the side with a really cool mural on the wall.

There is indoor and outdoor seating as well. Definitely make this restaurant a must-have and try the Banh Mi pizza!

The patio and dining room is beautiful! I heard about red wagon because of their banh mi pizza. Very different and unique. I went out to try since I love eating pizza. Got a variety of other things to try on the menu. Love their thin crust pizza and beautiful decorations everywhere. The only sad thing is I feel like they don't have a lot of workers. We did go for Sunday lunch, and it seems there was only one server, one greeter, and two chefs. It must of been rough for them, but I appreciate the hard work they put it for great food. Will return to eventually try all the other pizzas they have

Great pizza restaurant! If I lived in the neighborhood, I would visit often. Many pizza options to meet the needs of anyone. I appreciate how they allow half and half pizza; it allows you to try more flavors!

Very good food! And the service ended up being so good. There was an early slight snafu in whose table staff were serving us, but after that, they more than made up for it with their attention and kindness. We will be back. Really, the best service we've had in a long time by restaurant staff and management. The Mac and cheese appetizer was perfectly crusted/cooked and woodfire pizza was very good.

Fantastic wings and pizza. Menu has many different options and choose your own. It is a little spendy, but worth every penny.

This has to be the best place for pizza and drinks in MPLS! I’m a huge Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives fan and was so excited to find out that Guy featured this spot on DDD, and I can totally see why! The pizza selections are super fun and the quality of the ingredients is fantastic. We tried the McLovin, Banh Mi, Carl the Cuban, and Red Wagon Pizza and we washed them all down with Cann Lemon Lavender THC tonics. I love that this place is so innovative on its drinks and food selection. Can’t wait to return!

Fun place to get a pizza and watch them make it. Outdoor firepits and ice bar were cool too. Lots of interesting pixza options. Didn't try one the DDD pizzas, just a boring pepperoni, but really good!

This is the best pizza I've ever had!
We started with the Italian salad and it was exactly as expected, great flavors and perfectly dressed. Next up was the meatballs, 3 decent sized meatballs in a bed of red sauce with fresh cheese; very delicious, tender, and a nice crispy outside.
The showstopper though... That darn pizza! We ordered the bahn mi pizza, the flavors were out of this world and tasted perfectly of traditional bahn mi flavors. The crust was cooked to utter perfection, crispy, chewy, omg! Can't wait to go back and try another of their creations!

Pizza is consistently great. Takeout service is very easy, but it is worth stopping in to enjoy a great local beer selection before your meal.

Excellent. Love this place. Recently moved to Linden Hills area and this has been a go-to spot for us. We have been ordering delivery or take-out and each time it doesn’t disappoint! I am excited to check them out with dine-in someday.

We love the Bahn Mi pizza as our classic, but I have enjoyed the creative flavors of their others too! I love the way they showcase other Italian ingredients (especially Mortadella and Soppressata !! Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone with flavor combos - they know what they are doing!

Also shout out to Red Wagon for having a great Gluten Free crust! They partner with local SIFT bakery to offer a delicious GF crust that rivals any I have had before.

Pro tip: if you do takeout or delivery, I recommend ordering as Par-Baked so that it comes to you partially baked (and in some cases with toppings on the side). This ensures you get the hot, bubbly-cheese finish you crave!! Bonus points if you sneak in some extra toppings from your own pantry - I love tossing a little arugula on top of my pizzas.

I've been to Red Wagon several times, and it’s a great menu and space. Chef Peter is a very friendly, passionate guy who is easy to root for. You can’t go wrong here!

I really enjoy the pizza at red wagon. Their Buffalo chicken pizza is super good. Wish they added a bit more blue cheese sauce, but I always want more sauce. 🤷🏻‍♀ I also really enjoyed the Detroit pizza (not pictured) and the Italian salad (not pictured)

Been here a few times- I love the pizzas. It kinda feels like a premium pizza; high grade ingredients and elevated combinations. I've had a few different flavors but the red wagon is a go to.
We planned to dine in but it was so busy we ordered takeout and sat at the bar and they were very accommodating.

My wife found a new job alcoholic craft drink and the bartender informed us that it was local and gave us the low down on where it is available (now I get to have cool points and surprise my wife)!

My wife is and daughter (should be more) gluten free and dairy free and they have THE BEST pizza in this category as well. They really don't disappoint.

We also ordered the jerk dry wings which had zero spice but tons of flavor and were cooked perfectly (use the lime, it's your friend on these wings). We also had the homemade chips which were bomb but you don't get enough of the sriracha aoili with them.

You do pay a little more for this pizza and for the price, atmosphere, quality and service, it's best to dine in and have the full experience.

But, I'll say the reheat is solid but undercook it and gradually get it right while reheating as the thinner slices could be less forgiving in a microwave or toaster oven but it's still a good pizza then too.

It seems hard to believe that someone would be disappointed unless they just don't like that wood/coal fire/thin crust kind of pizza.

Been back a few times and will be back more times.

Parking is not a stress-free experience, so plan to walk to be safe.

Really good pizza and 36 taps to choose from with many local choices. Super friendly staff and atmosphere.

Delicious pizza, great atmosphere, tons of fun beers on tap to try! Service was next level! We feel like part of the family now and will be back.

Caught it on a slow Friday afternoon. Awesome place. 30+ beers on tap, perfectly unique pizza. GF and I split a Double Pep / Sliced Pear Gorgonzola pizza and a Mozzarella plate. SO good. It was $20 for the pizza, $17 for Mozz plate, so pretty okay pricing.
Would come here again next time we’re around.
