Woolley's Kitchen & Bar

The staff is very accommodating. We dined in with 2 kids under 2 and they were understanding and treated us like family. Richard was our server and was so great with the kids and knew the menu very well. He helped us decide even our drinks. The experience was a great one for us.

Woolley is a hidden gem! We live in Bloomington and just recently discovered Woolley's when we were hunting for a new place to celebrate with a friend. Richard took great care of us and our food was amazing.

Richard was entertaining and efficient. We enjoyed having him as our waiter. Food was good also. Great experience!

Richard actually takes a time and talks to you. He’s very good at knowing what is good and what can go well together. Not only that but they are very efficient with getting your food/drinks out. Definitely recommend! Thank you Richard and staff!!

The server we had was incredibly polite and don’t even get me started on how good the chicken quesadilla was, i thought they were going to be tiny because it was under the starters section on there menu, but I was wrong I got 4 that were as big as my hand. I wish they could deliver some quesadillas to my estate

I chose Woolley’s for a date night with my husband. I was staying in a nearby hotel overnight as I had a pre-dawn flight out the next day. I needed a restaurant with food we both liked, that was casual and yet also kind of special. Woolley’s ended up being the perfect place.

We were there on a quiet Monday night in late October, the first possible snow for the year in the forecast mere hours away. There were not many people there, which worked out fine for us. We had wonderful service from Shannon the whole time. She was one of those genuinely pleasant people who knows how to make you feel welcome.

My husband had a local beer while I had a Loon Juice cider. We started off with the French Onion Steak Bites, which was delicious. Good, tender meat and abundant cheese. My main dish was the Harvest Bowl, which was downright pretty to behold with colorful stripes of cranberries, pecans, blue cheese, and butternut squash, all atop a bed of fluffy rice. It tasted healthy and seasonally appropriate. My husband had a steak, which was cooked exactly to his preference, with asparagus and lush mashed potatoes on the side.

As this was a date night, dessert was a must. I had to get the bread pudding, as that dish is one of my all-time favorites. It was beautifully done here, the thick cut of pudding heated all the way through, a chunky apple compote on top. It sat in a sea of caramel. Three swirls of cream adorned with fresh fruit framed the bread pudding.

I’d definitely eat at Woolley’s again. The food was great and there are more dishes I’d be interested in trying. The wonderful service just pushed it over the top.

We had a fantastic experience at Woolley’s! We came for happy hour & dinner. The bar was extremely busy with the after work crowd, but there were several booths open. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. I can’t even explain how fast the food came out - we had drinks, appetizers, dinner, and dessert all in less than an hour.

The food was delicious! I highly recommend the Korean beef tacos - they were outstanding. I also loved the French onion soup! My husband had the calamari and said it was okay, but nothing special. He’ll skip that one next time. I tried the Brussels sprouts- also okay, but nothing amazing. Definitely more of a steamed / sautéed side dish than an appetizer. Generous portions, though.

We each tried the pasta, both of which were tasty. My husband had the black & blue pasta without the blue cheese - sounds like it defeats the purpose, but it didn’t. It was delicious! I had the pasta vodka, which was also tasty.

We ended with some very affordable desserts! I had the whiskey caramel bread pudding - YUM - and husband had the white chocolate cheesecake. Both were great!

We can’t wait to come back and try more food!

My husband and I enjoyed lunch at Woolley's for our anniversary, having gotten married exactly one year ago at the hotel the restaurant is housed in. The staff and service were phenomenal and went out of their way to make it special for us. Shannon really knows the meaning of hospitality, and clearly takes pride in the impeccable service and atmosphere that Woolley's offers. The restaurant is clean and the vibe is low-key but upscale at the same time. And Richard the barkeeper + host is friendly, personable, accommodating, and also hilarious! He made several recommendations and we had the southern buttermilk fried chicken sandwich with truffle fries, as well as the pasta vodka along with a few of Richard's signature mocktails. We will definitely be back in the future!

Was staying at the Hilton hotel and wanted to stop by somewhere close for a meal. I started with the French onion steak bites as appetizer, the Black & Bleu pasta as my entree, and for dessert I got the apple crisp. The food overall was great! Our server on the other hand, Chantel, was excellent. She was friendly and super nice.

This was such an unexpected experience. We stepped into Woolley’s for dinner and right away each course was equal to or better than the previous. The fried goat cheese was mouth watering delicious, the steak and prime rib were tender, the dessert sampler was amazing. Hard to pick a favorite. And to top it all off we had amazing service.

Richard is AMAZING! What a guy. Quick with a joke and funny as can be. Great service as well. Ask for him!

We were lucky to try this place on their prime rib night. Food was great. The waitress was nice but look like they short of staffs, so our food took a while to serve and we waited for a while for the check. Good place to try, just not when you are in hurry.

I had the pleasure of being served by Chantel during my recent visit, and she truly made the dining experience unforgettable. From the moment we were seated, Chantel was attentive, friendly, and incredibly professional. She greeted us with a warm smile and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.
If you're looking for top-notch service with a personal touch, Chantel is the one to ask for! She made our dining experience truly enjoyable, and I can't wait to come back and be served by her again.

Diamond was an excellent server. Zero complaints about the service and Diamond even offered us birthday treats since it was mentioned at our table that two people in our party were celebrating birthdays.

Side note, crab cake appetizer was my entree and I loved it and I loved the walleye, too.

We visited Woolley’s on multiple occasions as we had our wedding in the hotel. My husband fell in love with their truffle fries. Everytime we had an appointment at the hotel for our wedding he would have to order some. Even the night before our wedding he ordered 4 of them to share with our wedding party. We also ate dinner there a few times. The staff is always friendly. The service can be a bit slower pace, but we didn't mind that.

Richard was delightful. He suggested a few mocktails as it was obvious we were on a business lunch. He made a specialty lemonade that was out of this world. I ordered a burger with pork belly and onion rings. I couldn't have been happier with my selection. I'll eat here again.

We enjoyed our meal and our server Shannon was amazing. We enjoyed our dinner and drinks.

My sister and I had a relaxing dinner after a long travel day, and were taken great care of by Shannon. She was friendly, attentive and ready to share tidbits of information about the menu from her personal experience. She really made our dinner experience lovely with her personable approach. Food was delicious and beautifully plated, with generous portion sizes. I would absolutely characterize this as an unexpectedly fabulous experience for a hotel restaurant.
