Kathrin's Biergarten

This place is off the charts. The service was super quick on a Sunday night, the portions were huge, and there’s a ton of indoor and outdoor seating. I will be coming here regularly now that I know how awesome it is! They have more different sausages than you can shake a stick at and if you order a schnitzel, it’s the size of the entire plate. Their prices are pretty fair for how much food you get. My sausage and schnitzel plate came with giant pieces of meat and a salad and fries to boot for $23. Kathrin’s is perfect for a date night or just getting your buddies together to throw back some beers and enjoy meat.

Tried the 9 sausage platter shared among 4 of us and we were not disappointed. Our server recommended the types of sausages and we got to taste different varieties, all excellent choices. Andouill was my favorite if you can handle spicy. Overall great experience as this was my first time visiting here even though I have lived in Rocklin forever.

We came in with a hungry soccer team and all the parents. It took awhile to get everyone’s order but that wasn’t surprising, we had a LOT of people. Lots of great things on the menu, but it was a late lunch for me so I didn’t go crazy. Everything was very tasty. The “large pretzel “ was huge and fresh, best I’ve ever had. The sausage in a roll (I picked smoked brat” with sauerkraut was wonderful. The small size lemon rocket pasta salad was perfect. I hope I can come back again, for dinner!

Nice place, great beer, good food. Had the Big Platter with pork schnitzel and 5 wursts, added the Jägersauce. Definitely shareble portion. Waiter/Bartender was very friendly and quick, nice relaxed atmosphere. Going back on my next visit to Sacramento

I've been here a few times and the food is always wonderful and the wait staff is very knowledgeable. The Reuben sandwich was phenomenal! Also the sausage sampler plate is great too cuz you can try different sausages. My son had the pork schnitzel sandwich and said it was delicious! Great place to eat and I will be back again!

I can honestly say, this has to be one of my better meals I have ever had. Maybe because there are not a lot of places that serve authentic German food, but regardless. I will go out of my way to come back again.
I was immediately greeted when I arrived by very cheery employees. I ordered the Jagerschnitzel and it was incredible. Very generous portion and was delicious. Even the little salad that came with it had a fantastic lemon dill homemade dressing.
I heard they have a new chef and I hope they keep him/her. I don't live in town, but I will make sure I go out of my way to come back again.

We came here for the first time last week and it was terrific, we were celebrating our anniversary and wanted to give somewhere new a try and we’re so happy we tried Kathrin’s out. It wasn’t crazy crowded, but there were a decent amount of people there to keep the place busy. The ambiance is comfortable and pretty open, there is so much to look at your eye will see something new anywhere you look. The beer selection is obviously incredible too. Our server was real friendly and took care of us in a timely manner and gave great recommendations for things on the menu or things we had questions about. We ordered an appetizer,2 beers,a soda and 2 entrees and a dessert and we paid about $100. They also offer a military discount so thats a great plus! The servings are really big and the entrees came with small salads as well. The food came out quick and hot! Everything was delicious and so filling, I LOVED their salad dressing and the bier cheese that came with the pretzel, absolutely delicious! The Bienenstich is to die for!! And the We even got to meet Kathrin and she was so friendly and hospitable, thanks for a great experience and making our anniversary dinner a lovely one!

What a nice place & great service here. Our meal and desert was delissious. Had a nice chat with our young 🤗🤗 waitress. If you ever 'strand' in Rocklin, this is the place to be 😃🥨🥃🍴🇺🇸

Food is great. Beer is fantastic. I always have an enjoyable experience here, even when they get a bit busy and I have to wait for my food to come out. I've met the owner Katherine several times, she's always extremely pleasant to speak with and always makes sure we are enjoying ourselves.

This place is truly a hidden gem! The Biergarten is quintessential German with both communal and smaller tables. It’s mostly shaded and they have fans so it’s good for all times of day and weather. The pretzel…OMG, it’s divine! Beer and cider selection is fantastic. And the menu has so many German specialties - it’ll surely appease all appetites and preferences! We plan to return and try everything on the menu!

This is my third time at Kathrin’s Biergarten and the food and service is always been great. The schnitzel aren’t as big as they are in Germany, but the flavor is on point.
They have a great selection of draft and bottled beer. I wish they carried a Helles though, maybe in the near future!

Also the DirKat sausage is THE BOMB.

This place is perfect. I went here for lunch with some work friends. I loved the music, the wait staff, the food, and I even liked the one IPA they had (they have a bunch of German beers but I am not right guy to comment on those). I thought the staff was the perfect combination of attentive, helpful, and chill. We got the sausage platter where you get 2 pretzels and pick 9 sausages--great for sharing. And the dessert was pretty amazing too.

I wish I would have known about this place earlier. The food is great 👌🏽! It really reminds me of the food in Germany. There’s a large selection of German beers, all super. We tried their Octoberfest Sampler$40, this plater says it feeds 2, but it really can feed 4. Comes with Schnitzel, 5 sausages of your choice, sauerkraut, rotkhol ( red cabbage) and fries. There are of course liter beers🍺. Service is great, our server (Hailey) 👊🏼was very attentive and friendly. There’s a great dining room inside, and a huge patio for outdoor dining. This place is perfect for large groups. There something for everyone if you bring the family. It right off the freeway if you’re just passing by. Definitely check it out, it will totally be worth your time. 🤙🏼

What an awesome find! The food and service here are awesome! It is a home away from home. The beer and the meats are really good. They also have a wonderful patio if you would like to sit outside. When you come here you must get the pretzel with all of the dips that they offer you will not regret it!! I am so glad this place is in our neighborhood which is both a blessing and a curse LOL

Well darn, that was fantastic. Tucked over in the far left corner of a Rocklin shopping center is a secret portal to a German Biergarten. Tons of outdoor seating and a good amount of shade. Laid back, relaxing atmosphere, friendly service, and terrific food. The only bummer is we live 30+ minutes away!

Authentic German food and delicious beer imported from Germany. Kathrin grew up in Munich, Germany, I believe, and she is sharing her delicious recipes with us California locals.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. You can try free samples of beer to be sure you get the one you will enjoy.

The place is filled with German relics and has a nice pub feel to it. Plenty of seating inside and out, go give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

I have never had any sort of German related food before, but I can definitely say that the food here is delicious. Along with a great variety of beer selections, I highly recommend getting their beer flight.
