The Barn & Barrel Bar and Grill

Been here a few times and it’s always been good. Hidden gem on the hill. Wasn’t busy. Got the tomahawk pork chop with smoke sauce, corny and broccoli. Hour later is was pretty crowded for this small place. Bartender was super friendly and nice on the eyes 👀 i like coming here.

The Most remarkable thing that I can remember of our visit on 4/27/2024 at 1 PM, was the light clear Character of the oil used in cooking everything deep fried! No matter what came out of that kitchen, it was beautiful in appearance and taste! The result was no matter what we ordered, it was delicious, not greasy and rancid tasting like most Bar Food these days!!! We ordered onion rings and mushrooms for our appetizers! Superb! We also ordered their enormous chicken wings, Hamburger and Blue Cheese burger!!! Down right Delicious!!! I am in a walker, no problems parking, or using their high seating chairs !!! Only one Waitress, but she was amazing! Very efficient, but took time out to honor our every request! Atmosphere was very different in that it was a local bar, catering to the neighborhood clientele and appeared to be very friendly in most every way! The only thing that annoyed me was that coming from Elizabeth, there is no signs as to where to turn up Blaine Hill to get to the restaurant! but once we used our GPS, we found it was very easy to find the restaurant!
If you want a Special Treat, a clean and different type kind of restaurant, food prepared by possibly the best cook or Chef in the Pittsburgh area, prepared to be blown away, I know we were and really look forward to returning ………….

Went on a Friday they had lent menu in addition to regular menu. No kids menu, but sides and apps easily made them happy. The fish tacos had very large pieces of fish and were cooked perfectly. Beer and draft menu was great, BBQ shrimp skewers were filling and Cole slaw was creamy style and very good. The waitresses seemed to work as a team and we were continuously checked on by several different team members. I would recommend this place for lunch or dinner. I have had their burgers in the past and they are very good as well.

Love the look of the inside. Nice little bar and restaurant. Bar sitting and regular tables. There is an upstairs too with more seating. Decent size menu with many selections. I got the western burger... it was over cooked and dry, but I'm definitely going to go back and give it another try. (Maybe it was just a off night for cooking, it was busy) Bar tender was very nice. And checked on us often.

The special was a 1/2 rack of ribs with 3 whole wings and fries...
I was 100% delighted by the size, flavor of the ribs... the hot barbecue sauce was PERFECT...
Awesome heat and a spiced flavor that the creator took some serious time to make...
(No Kraft bbq here my friends)...
The wings were perfectly charred along with fresh cut fries to complement this combination of perfection...
I cannot wait to return!!!

The best food that I've had in a long time! The service was quick. The atmosphere was friendly! I would recommend this place to eat to anyone.

Forgetting Work Even Exists Friday was AWESOME thanks to the staff of Barn and Barrel! Our waitress was spot on with our orders, without pen and paper, from memory. The food was fantastic. There were three other servers who continually checked to make sure we had what we needed and that our drinks were replenished! Thank you SO much.

Stopped on into The Barn & Barrel today for some St. Patrick's Day lunch. Great food and cold beer, Alexia was super friendly and helpful!

First timers today. They were busy due to a tournament of corn hole going on. Everyone including patrons were friendly. Wait staff was quick & friendly. Food was awesome. Hamburger & fresh cut fries were my lunch while my friend had Italian hoagie & home made potato chips. A couple of captain & diets & we were set. Prices were not bad. We will be back😄👍
