Tranquility Guest House

Its a really great hotel to stay at if you’re traveling solo, or with two people, but other than that it was a great experience.

Clean and convenient location. A couple of blocks off of Duval. Lots of great places nearby.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans cette authentique conch house pleine de charme. Même si l’arrivée est organisée de façon autonome, nous avons été accueillis par le personnel avec une hospitalité exceptionnelle. La chambre, certes petite, mais cela fait partie, comme le chant du coq, du charme du lieu, a parfaitement répondu à nos attentes, propre et parfaitement préparée. Idéalement située, je vous recommande cette adresse de la Old Town et sa petite piscine à l’ombre des palmiers.

Room wa tiny but met our needs. LOVED the balcony and the pool area. FABULOUS! Only thing very disappointing was the lack of of hot water in our room. Only once in 3 days did we have hot water. Cold showers can be refreshing but not always. Even no hot water in the sink to wash up before bed. Wondering why.

Okay, very honest review here. First, we LOVED the heated pool after long days of walking. Super location. However our room was maybe 8’ x 10’. Luckily my wife and I travel well together! So small there was maybe 2.5’ from the end of the bed to the door and 1.5’ on either side of the bed. We kept our luggage in the bathroom. No housekeeping during our stay. However, Bianca was super responsive, the place was clean, and quiet. Nice shared balcony. Thought it was quite sloped (can’t complain too much since that has to do with the age of the building). We liked the contactless check in and the digital locks on the room. Dumpster in the 2 car parking lot so you can take out your own trash. No ice or vending on the property so be sure to bring water or other drinks. Would we stay again? Probably not for $270 per night. Is it a clean, quiet, cute place? Absolutely.

As an airbnb it was decent. The location was excellent and the bed was very comfortable. But there's really no place to sit down other than the bed. My room was actually on an angle. The floor was tilted and some tiles were coming up. But generally as a home base it wasn't bad because of the excellent location and I really mostly used it to sleep

Room was super limited. The controller for the fan was for the room next to us, and the bed side "tables" were at one point, attached to the wall, but they had not been fastened properly and were literally falling off the wall. Anything placed on them would slide right off. We stayed a full week and never saw a single person for house keeping. We called the number provided, we looked for anyone to help us and we even asked other guests if they had house keeping done, and to our surprise, they had. Really didn't know what we had done to get nothing, but it very quickly made for an uncomfortable stay. I'd have 0 problem with all of this if I could do my own laundry.

Found this place on Airbnb. Good area just 2 blocks from Duval St and 5 blocks or do from main downtown area. Room 125 was VERY small, maybe 10x10. Nowhere to sit other than the bed, which felt angled somewhat and one leg kept falling off. Floors were peeling up and shower had almost no pressure and temperature was a guessing game. The pool area is very nice and where we spent a lot of time. TV didn't work for several days and there is now a leak downstairs as maintenance workers are in our room to try and fix it. In other words be forewarned here. Great area and pool but poor room. Other rooms here 211, 212 are much nicer and right by the pool.

Nice room but very small … thin walls which means you hear everything & it’s rather annoying hearing ppl come in/out of the main connecting hallway at all hours of the night. Very crowded part of key west but I guess that’s normal.

I have stayed there when it was the Angelina Guesthouse and I am trying to find the phone number of what is now called. It is now called the Tranquility Guesthouse.

We just rented a room for a week. Upon arrival, we had to fight with unlocking the gates…. To which we learned, it wasn’t us- that’s just the way the gates are. Entered our room and was smacked in the face with the smell of cigarettes and dampness. Walked across the floor… found soft spots! Entered the bathroom….. there was a brown smear on the wall along the toilet. Sat on the toilet…. Almost fell off! The floor was uneven under the toilet. The sheets and towels were stained and felt like 50 grit sandpaper. The pool was warm and clean. That’s the only positive I can offer. Won’t be back!

1 star all around! Idk who is posting these reviews on Airbnb but please do your research. It seemed too good to be true so I looked on Google to find the truth. No wonder the rooms are so cheap! I contacted someone, idk who I spoke with, via email on airbnb website. Recieved a super weird response that didn't seem like it was English. Upon trying to decipher the message, I responded asking for early checkin. The listing says that you can check-in early for a small fee. They responded back extremely rude saying to refer to the message above (which is barely legible). They ended up telling me to book my room an entire day early (an extra $160) just to be able to checkin earlier by a few hours. I tried referring them to their own listing which states something completely different. After multiple short/rude responses I told them we will stay somewhere else upon which they replied "sounds good". Where is the "superhost" that these people claim in the reviews??? Doesn't exist. EW!

The worst experience ever, paid 450 for 2 nights, got the entry code at 3 pm, didn't work, battery low and after some tries the system locked. No person at location, called two numbers, no response, sent e mails, no response, sent messages, no response. Left location and Key West. No one cared fir my messages. Sexobd day automatic question when we leave, laughable. Never any response. Booked via booking com. They lied telling them there was an office: nothing. Still fighting to get my money back, but no person whi is responsible. You are lost!!! Don't do that!!!! May 2024

After seeing the amazing reviews on Airbnb, my wife and I decided to book a room for two nights. The night we arrived, we get to the room and notice a large amount of human and pet hair on our bed. We immediately notify the host and we are told that their cleaning staff is gone for the night (this was at roughly 6 pm so not even that late) and they could not clean the sheets until the next day. We then asked if they could provide another room for the night and we were told they could not. Naturally, we promptly left and requested a refund. We have struggled to get even half of what we originally paid. Please save yourself the hassle and book somewhere else.

Tranquility Guest House

My husband made a reservation through AirBnb; it was a non-refundable reservation. He's a repeat guest of the Tranquilty/Angelina Guest house in Key West. He changed the reservation dates once, when my father fell ill and was hospitalized. Now, my father has passed and he wants to attend the funeral. He contacted the property manager (AtMine Hospitality) via AirBnb (bc it's the only way to reach them, apparently) to explain the circumstances and requested some consideration, be it a refund, partial refund or even a move to another date for the same price or a discounted price. The reply was short, curt, and cold; 'the cancelation policy stands'. This is absolutely horrible customer service. Especially since, we can plainly see online, had he booked through other 3rd party sites for the same place and same room (and not AirBnb), they offer full refunds, which is more than he even asked for. We will never stay here again. I know that Key West is busy, and will always have guests, but this kind of lack of consideration and compassion is something we will not patronize again. And we'll be sure to tell others.
