I had two separate wedding band sets and Lane's went above and beyond to make sure that they repair and modified the fit on both of my rings. One of my sets was a one of a kind made years ago by another jeweler and they under stood how much the ring meant to me and that I have not been able to wear it in years. Once they refit it fixed the stone polished it up I was so excited at how beautiful it was. I am so excited that I can finally wear it again.

I’m Thrilled with Layne’s Custom Design

I had been casually browsing for a new wedding ring set for quite a while but I never found exactly what I was looking for until I saw a picture online of an art deco style antique ring and knew I was getting close. As I started to form a picture in my mind of “my” ring I knew I would never find it in a jewelry store window and the obvious solution would be a custom design, but I had never gone through that process before, so I was a little intimidated by the thought. After meeting with three very reputable jewelers in the area I chose Layne’s and I am so glad I did! Working with designer Stuart Landry was great! He nailed the design with the first rendering, but then I decided I wanted the setting to be larger. The first stone I looked at was beautiful, but it was a little too blue. One of my concerns about going with a custom design was that my descriptions of what I wanted wouldn’t be able to accurately describe the image I had in my mind. But, every time I looked at a stone or an artist’s rendering or a 3-D printout and felt like it wasn’t quite “it” or I changed my mind about something, Alex and Dixie would reassure me that it was My ring we were all working toward and little changes along the way were a normal part of the process and their goal was to get it right! I received regular updates from Alex even when there wasn’t much to report as he sought out the perfect blue-green stone I pictured. He found it and with that, Stuart rendered the perfect setting and they got to work on the actual ring. The result is beautiful, and it is just what I had been dreaming of. The design team made the experience very pleasant and fun. I cannot say enough about how happy I am that we chose Layne’s and how thrilled we are with the results.
