Cilantro's

I'm from out of town and staying on the island. My neighbor suggested that I pick up Mexican food for us. I got the steak tacos. The staff was really friendly on the phone taking my order. They were very specific in asking me if I wanted onion on the tacos. That's very thoughtful. I wanted the food exactly the way they prepare it so I got the onions and the tacos were very much like Baja tacos, The way you would get them if you lived in Southern California / San Diego. It was wonderful. Plenty of meat. A side of crema and salsa, rice and beans and a big bag of chips. As I was waiting for my food, I sat at the bar and I really liked the restaurant. It's like a typical cafe, not decorated inside with a Hispanic theme, but it's okay Because it was highly air conditioned which is needed in this heat and humidity in August. The guest looked very happy and their plates were filled with food. You get really good value here. I talked to the two bartenders in my broken Spanish. They were so friendly. They really knew how to ask open-ended questions and we talked about food and where I have lived around the world, in Spanish when possible. Very very nice young men. I will frequent this Mexican restaurant multiple times while I stay here for 2 months just because they're friendly, The restaurant is clean, and the food was delicious and good value. My friend got the crazy chicken plate. It look like chicken that was grilled with onions and mushrooms. I really didn't pay much attention to it because I was consuming my tacos, and get them with corn tortillas. That's really the way to eat any taco. The corn tortillas were very good, not dry. I think this would be a perfect place for happy hour and just to get a good plate of Mexican food and enjoy the community.

I saw the tacos a Pastore from the online menu and knew I had to get it. I was not disappointed at all! The sever was very pleasant and our food came out very fast. The Pastore was seasoned well and very good on the small soft tacos. The side portions are delicious, and were just enough for me not to overeat, they were fine for me to feel full. They have a very large menu and I want to try the grilled shrimp tacos next time I go back.

It’s truly a hidden gem. It’s got amazing quality food. It’s authentic. Can’t speak highly enough of the place.

What a fantastic Mexican food restaurant. Their Salsa is everything one desires. Margaritas are strong and tasty! Authentic Mexican dishes served perfectly, God bless this place for holding the bar high on Mexican food! It was much needed here in the island.

These guys are great. Best service I’ve seen in a long time. The guacamole was perfect. The shrimp delicious and the margaritas are to die for. My hats off to the management for being able to maintain a family atmosphere and have a full service bar.

Busy place, lots of locals here folks! Prices are very reasonable and servings are hefty. Always seem to have some new dishes they are trying out, don’t miss out on the bacon-wrapped shrimp dish they are currently featuring! The margaritas are excellent!

One of my favorite places! Have been coming here for several yrs. Today I'm treating myself to a solo Valentine dinner & yummy cocktail (or 2). 😄 The service is so friendly & caring, food is always fabulous. The staff cares about their customers and attention to detail. Highly recommend.

Always a solid place for a great meal. I have been here mostly for lunch and the foods and drinks are always top notch. Food is great and as good or better than most Mexican restaurants. Service has always been great and the location is easy to get in and out with plenty of parking. I will go back and suggest you give them a try if you want some great food and good drinks.

We’ve enjoyed the food and service at Celantro’s for about 3 years. We keep coming back because the service is exceptional; the food is fresh; and the atmosphere is clean. If you’re visiting the Golden Isles it’s well-worth a visit. If you’re local, you already know it’s good! Sorry y’all for sharing the secret, but I thought those coming from points elsewhere needed to know about this Saint Simon’s gem.

Loved their homemade tortilla, fresh and perfect for the shrimp tacos I got. Nice family atmosphere and some great cantina style foods!

visiting on a vacation I had the pleasure to take my wife here on a Sunday evening. everything was a good quality The Establishment was clean and we were happy with the service. the food was excellent. no complaints

Lunch is a very busy time. I order different meals to try everything they offer. Today I enjoyed the crazy chicken. The service offered by the staff and the quality of food the island location is superior to Cilantro in Brunswick Georgia. I can promise that you will not regret dinning here.

Much nicer than the Brunswick location. Same menu but food is better. Seafood chimichanga is amazing. Bar service is awesome at this location as well. Patio with nice atmosphere and plenty of TVs.

This is an above average Mexican restaurant with very friendly service and a diverse menu with lots of options. I had the Diablo shrimp which I already medium but was pretty hot. The shrimp are good size fresh and well prepared. Full service bar with lots of margaritas. Will return when in the area
