Renato at River Falls

Delightful lunch. Service was good and attentive. Place looks small, but that is deceiving. Calamari starter was light and delicious. Pasta Bolognese and Eggplant Parmesan was hot, fresh, and yummy. This will make it into our restaurant rotation.

My friend grew-up in Potomac, so we spent a full day wandering about her old neighborhood reminiscing. That night, for dinner, we dined at Renato, which was sublime. From the wine to the calamari to the pasta to the service, it was such an air of elevated, elegant comfort. There was an easy warmth that wrapped us up and returned us to a nostalgic time, that somehow felt dreamlike.

My husband has been wanting to take me here and I’m glad we went! It was excellent! Probably one of the best Italian places in Montgomery County! They are pricey, but worth it!

The food here is great, I’ve been going here for a few years now and whenever I take my friends/family here they love it!! The service is the best here, they always treat me and my friends/family like with care and respect. However, there was an incident that happened a few weeks ago with another table while I was there and they were very disrespectful to the staff, they were way over dramatic and the staff did all they could to be kind and respectful to the mean people. At the end of the day this is a great place to dine at, 10/10 recommend!!!

Best dining experience in at least two years. Service was phenomenal. Food was excellent. The two waiters worked together and were spot on with timing and service without all the extra unnecessary check-ins. Whenever we needed something, they were there. Whenever we didn't need something, they weren't there. This is a difficult skill to master. The food was also great, but I have to give special kudos to the service because it seems to be more rare.

Have eaten here many times as we live in the area. Food is great from pizza to pasta. Friendly. Love it.

We stopped here for lunch after a morning at Glenstone. We didn't need reservations, it wasn't crowded and the service was excellent. The pasta had great texture and the sauces were light and fresh. We enjoyed the spaghetti and meatballs, linguine with shrimp and scallops, lobster ravioli, and grilled trout. All delicious.

i never get tired of this place. food quality is consistently high, staff is consistently friendly and efficient. there are always great specials and seafood gets special treatment here, due to the influences of seafood market that owns the restaurant. dining room redo is even nicer than before. They are just as delightful whether you order a bowl of pasta or a 3 course meal. pastas and fish are very reasonable and the outstanding tiramisu is the benchmark for which i measure all others.

Visited with some neighbors and had a nice leisurely lunch. Everyone's dish turned out delicious (Pasta Norma, Chicken Parmesan, Gnocchi). I had the Eggplant parmesan. My intent was to eat half but I could not help myself. I finished the entire dish.The service was great and they allowed us to talk a while and didn't rush us out. It is a nice and cozy restaurant that accommodates groups and the acoustics allow you to hear the conversation. Great atmosphere for dates as well as business dinners.

We have been regular customers of Renato’s mostly for dinner but occasionally for lunch since they originally opened that door is 30 years or more in all. The rating is based on the excellence of the food and service for a neighborhood restaurant, not a blue ribbon Down town major restaurant. The fact that Renato has lasted so long and is always crowded is a tribute to their never letting the quality of the food or service deteriorate. In addition wait staff has been in place for many years and we know them all. They are also at able to accommodate my low to no salt diet. I do not hesitate to recommend Renato’s. The manager Enzo Is pleasant and welcoming.

My family and I have been coming here for as long as I can remember (15-20years). Great food, consistent every time I go here. The tiramisu is to die for. Enzo and the staff are very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend!!

Favorite place to eat in the Potomac village. Here is where you’ll find all the high end locals. This is your go to spot in this area. Really can’t go wrong here. Prime Italian food.
