We had a great time! Stayed in the forest cabin and it was comfortable. Kids had fun, swimming, on playground and on a nature hike. Nice little camp store and showers were a much needed bonus. Looking forward to our next Michigan trip to stay at Wabasis again!

We've been here multiple times, always very happy with the results. New this year were concrete upgrades from gravel paths. We got full hookup sites as the dump area is tight quarters and often busy when leaving. Great camp store for the kids.

This county park is a place of abundant beauty throughout the year with easy wooded walking trails, a few rolling hills many scenic spots to relax and a very unique spring house near the boat launch. The campground in the park is amazing with nice level lots and it has a great family atmosphere. Wabasis Lake Campground is amazing and feels like a small resort with clean bathrooms and warm showers. There is a nice beach with kayaks and canoes for rent along with a beach store and well stocked campground store with many books, activities, snacks, drinks and other staple food items along with other camping essentials. The campground staff is friendly, hardworking, very understanding and it shows as you can see them hard at work throughout the park. We did three two week stays in the fall of 2023 and had four different sites. All of the sites we stayed in accomadated our 30' class A motorhome with ease. I highly recommend this campground and will be coming back to camp here again.

Always a great place to hike and walk the puppies! The cave is also a neat feature! Playground on the beach for the Littles to run out all the stored energy.

We really enjoyed the day hear at the beach. It's a nice sized sand beach with easy parking and nice facilities. We launched the sea doo at the boat ramp and played all day at the beach. Plenty of room to spread out and have a great day! The lake is big enough to have fun on but not too big and there is plenty of room for skiing or tubing.

It was crowded but hey, it's the week before school starts so yeah. The attendants were very friendly, the ground's clean and the pump off station look like the beginning of the season instead of the end. Kent county parks are awesome.

Very well maintained campground and the sites are huge. They have an upper level with full hookups, and a lower level near the water thats rustic. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The beach area looks great for kids.

It does seem like this waterfront is a little swampy, but the sectioned off area is sand bottom and groomed.

So close tp grand rapids, will def come back.

Clean, beautiful, nice staff, affordable. Will definitely be back. The weekend I spent here was our Honeymoon. We got married the morning of the day we arrived. It rained but it was a lovely weekend anyway. I just made reservations for our anniversary weekend.

Very nice employee untangled my fishing line for me. As an inexperienced fisherman I had no idea what to do, almost cried. Young man saved my whole day. Best park on earth!

This is one of our family's new favorite getaways. Where has this little gem been hiding? The campground is clean, spacious, friendly workers, and had several amenities to offer. The fishing has been top notch as well. The office has everything you'll need to have a successful trip. We highly recommend this campground.

Sweet little beach area tucked away from the main roads, camping of all sorts and lots of nature and other fun stuff to do, and you can swim for free! Love taking the kids out here to hang for the day!

Great spot to visit. Good sledding hill in the winter and good spot for a picnic. We haven’t stayed at the campground yet, but plan on trying it someday.

Well maintained county campground! The beach was nice, the lake view was beautiful. It would be nice if the primitive sites had more trees or brush between them, so it wasn't so wide open. Otherwise no complaints!

Wabasis campground was a great place to stay, has some pretty spectacular views and a great atmosphere. Although this is one of our first RVing adventure spots, I'm confident that we will be back from how much we enjoyed our stay this time. The park was very clean, The spots are very large and still have plenty of trees to break things up a bit. The fire pits are very nice and well maintained and the clean out facilities on the way out are an added bonus. Quick access to the lake and several playgrounds makes this a perfect spot for families who are active and enjoy the outdoors.

Thanks for a wonderful weekend and we'll see you soon Wabasis campground!

This is a great park and it was fairly easy to get a reservation. Most of the sites are of a good size and most are level, although there is a section where the sites are on a slope.

We stayed in the cabin, it was rustic but very clean and spacious. Rental kayaks were easy and fun, and the beach is a blast for the kids with a playground right on the beach.

I was born in 1977 on 11 mile road - just a few minutes to walk down my dirt road to Chief Wabasis Park. My dad worked there and I just about lived there. Catching fish, turtles, frogs, salamanders, snakes and bugs. Imagining great stories of Indians living in the limestone cave on the overlook trail and scouring the woods for arrowheads that I KNEW must be there. I remember using my finger to write my name in the cement base of the basketball hoop so many decades ago when it was being poured.....and I can still find the faded letters. Now I bring my children to swim, fish, hike and explore. I've spent countless thousands of hours scouring every square inch of this park and it has played a role in shaping who I am today.
