Gilles is awesome! Very knowledgeable and friendly. He worked on my two Gibson that needed some tlc and did an awesome job at a great price. He has a wide variety of guitars in stock and in my opinion, before you buy one of the big brand guitars, check out what he has. They feel and sound awesome. I will definitely be buying my next guitar from him.

Went to buy a rare BC Rich guitar, the owner was warm welcoming and knowledgeable.

His dogs were adorable and well behaved.

The selection was epic way better than what you get in Ottawa.

Brought one of my g&l guitars to rainbow due to a broken string . Gilles did a full setup on this beauty . Let’s just say the difference is night and day !!! He corrected many flaws that were present from the factory. I will be bringing all my guitars here from now on !! Thanks

I am so happy to have bought another quality guitar from Gilles at Rainbow Music. This is my third guitar (all of them brand new), from him and everyone has played exceptional (even my first purchase which was in the “beginner” price range yet performs well above its purchase price point). I own a Gibson Les Paul Standard, and a Fender American Deluxe so take whatever that means to you positively or negatively, but I simply mean that I’ve had expensive guitars and not so expensive guitars in my hands throughout the years (and Gilles’ guitars go head to head with those mentioned above). As always, customer service/satisfaction is exceptional and unrivalled and I will be returning at some point to find my next purchase before going anywhere else.

After doing some research about Rainbow Music and the incredible setup the owner does on every guitar he sells I decided to take a 2 hour drive to buy one (even though I found the same model at a similar price much closer). After getting home and playing it I realized the trip was more than worthwhile. The work Gilles does is amazing and it was a pleasure to meet him. His knowledge of guitars is incredible and it is obvious he takes great pride in his work. What he calls a setup is an extensive procedure that goes far beyond what I expected. I am sure I will be making that drive again soon. The 'same' guitar you find somewhere else is unlikely to play as well as the one you buy at Rainbow.

Been a customer for years (first guitar bought in 2009), had guitar lessons here as well. Fantastic service, great prices.. Honestly could not ask for a more knowledgeable owner! I will never shop elsewhere for my musical needs!

Do you want to save a few bucks and buy it online? Think twice! All guitars are professionally set up and come with a 2 year maintenance/setup at no cost. Most mass produced guitars need some tweaking and Gilles is the guy to make your gear sound great! He knows his stuff! I bought a lot off this guy!

Gilles at Rainbow is great. I've been going to him for a decade now. Every guitar in his shop gets his "Custom Shop" set up. So as a rule, if you got it from Rainbow, it probably feels and plays better.

Fantastic customer service. I went to Rainbow Music this morning and I couldn't have been more pleased. The prices were great, and the service was even better! The owner, Gilles, was super friendly and clearly very knowledgable. It is nice to see someone enjoy what they do so much. I will definitely be coming back!

The only guitar tech in town. He has set up 4 of my guitars now, and it's allways worth every penny. You cannot beat his expertise or his pricing. He can make even a cheap guitar play like an absolute jem! Shops like Gilles' are hard to find. You won't find what he offers at Long and McQuaid, that's for sure!
