Gorgeous course with a great layout! Greens were all you could ask for, fast and true. Fairways are lush, rough is long and places a premium on well placed tee shots and approaches. Bunkers had a generous amount of beautiful white sand. Native area frames the course nicely and the elevation changes create some stunning views and tee shots. 19th “gamblers hole” was a really cool addition, a down hill par 3 guarded by a pond in front. Dustin and the staff in the golf shop were very friendly and welcoming. If you are in the McCall area you have to check this course out!

I recently had the pleasure of playing 9 holes on Tamarack's Osprey, their newly reopened golf course, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived Dustin, Scott, Alex, and Jordan were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable round of golf.

The course itself was a treat for the senses. While there were a few lengthy cart rides between a couple of holes, the stunning views of the lake and mountains more than made up for it. The natural beauty of the surroundings added to the overall charm of the course and provided a peaceful day of golf.

The greens and fairways were in impeccable condition. The maintenance team at Tamarack has clearly put a lot of effort into getting this course in top shape. The greens rolled true, and the fairways were lush and inviting, making for a pleasurable and challenging game of golf.

In conclusion, Tamarack's Osprey golf course is a must-visit for any golfer. The combination of a friendly and attentive staff, breathtaking views, and well-maintained fairways and greens make it a top-notch golfing destination. I look forward to returning for a full 18-hole round when they open the remaining 9 holes in July '24.

Had the pleasure of playing two days in a row. The greens and tees are immaculate. Still a little work being done off fairway.

Challenging course, friendly staff, beautiful vistas. If only the sandhill cranes did not steal my balls when tee off from one of the many blind tee boxes. I know it was in the middle of the fairway... Anyways, I am told that Tamarack is enabling Free Caddie GPS for my Droid and that is why I am giving top marks. I know the ice killed a lot of the grass, but the new seeds have germinated and it is looking much better than it did in early spring.

Played mid August 2024. I've also played this course a handful of times before back in the early 2010s. These are just a few things my group noticed:

1.Course renovation and construction still ongoing. A couple holes felt unfinished but the greens were in great shape and the fairways seemed larger. The property has come a long way in the past few years, now it just needs some time to mature.
2. B.Y.O...everything? We saw no options for food, drink, snacks in the clubhouse. Nor did we come across a beverage/food cart all day and it was a sunny Sunday afternoon. The carts have a nice gps system but between our carts 2 coolers, one had 1 small bottle water and the other was filled with trash. Hole 6 and 13 offered a water fountain/bathroom.
3. Didn't feel like it was properly staffed, especially for a weekend. One young kid in the clubhouse and another with a clipboard who smiled at us near the first hole. Aside from that, nobody stood out who appeared to work there.
4. The high price tag didn't match our groups overall experience and fell short on some of the luxuries one might expect when visiting a resort course. Once they get some feedback and a few kinks ironed out this place can be special.

Overall great views and layout. Hole #19, the par 3 Gamblers Hole (old #3) is a fun way to finish a round and/or settle any ties. Look forward to returning in the future.

The course has some well designed cool holes, but it is certainly not worth the money at this point. They should still be giving a discounted rate as the course is still under construction. The paths have mud, dirt, and rocks on all sides leading well into the fairways, huge dead patches, shabby grass areas, and not well-groomed bunkers. The course could be nice one day, but it's not there yet. For the price save your money and go play one of the other great courses up that way.
What really sets this course apart and into the negative are the amenities...NO drinks, water, food, in the club house. Nothing. There is one bar cart roaming the course which we saw once in 18 holes. No ice in the coolers, no signage on where to go or how to even get to the clubhouse (that is through a parking garage by the way), it was just not a great experience. The staff was not helpful and somewhat rude, didn't seem to care about much, and provided little to no information, even when asked direct questions.
I've played many resort courses, and this is just not a resort type of experience. I have been to the shabbiest of Muni's that have better amenities than Osprey Meadows.
Give this place a few years and maybe it will be better, but for now, not worth it.

The course is amazing but the service was not even close. You pay the prices to play there and they don't tell you there is no drink cart. And when you call and ask they say it's not there fault the other people need to hire more. No communication just go.play and pay me 180.00 for your golf. Oh and when you are done go to the bar for a drink but no food. It was an amazing course but need some better training or whatever they call it there.

It's closed as in gone. Walking/bike path now. Good for that at least
