Short walk from the cruise terminal if you happen to be traveling that way. Great for little kids. Two playgrounds, some swings, and next door little library. Door kinda broken so don't get locked in. Local crows are nice. Also three restrooms next to it as well.

One of the best playgrounds!
The tragic/romance story of Mollie Walsh.
She was famous and many men fell under her grace. Unfortunately her choice let to her demise. Yet she’s remembered.

A quiet yet lively corner of Skagway.

We spent an hour playing tags with our kid making sure their energy was drained and satisfied.

Great (and free) place for the curious child that loves trains to take in some history. Only sad part is the aging stock and knowledge it will probably not move from here (unless to the scrap yard).

Skagway was a stop on our Alaska cruise that didn't have a whole lot of excursions available for our little people (3yo and 1yo). We decided to wander with them around town instead pay for an excursion. After collecting our souvenirs, we asked a local about a park for kids and they recommended this one. This is an excellent park with new equipment and a fun forest theme. They have six unisex bathrooms and the gendered bathrooms have diaper changing stations.

Beautiful park with LOTS of equipment for children to play with and explore. Park is dedicated to Mollie Walsh... a tragic American story. See her bronze statue, read the inscription.

Great park to let the kids play at port. Look for the bubbles from the coffee shop next door. Also has public restrooms and benches.

Great playground with numerous slides, climbing options and swings in historic setting. Kids have a fun time playing here and toilettes are also available for younger and older visitors.

We had only few hours visiting Skagway after our train ride and kids needed a playground. Kids really like this small playground and I think it’s the only one in old town Skagway. The tire chip ground is great, a bit bouncy and safe. Tree shape climber is also very cute.

This park is great! We spent a few hours here letting our little one play while we rested. There are nice, clean public bathrooms right next to it as well. Good spot to let the kids get their wiggles out after sightseeing/shopping all day. Be sure to stop and read the plaque about Mollie Walsh. Sounds like a badass woman!

Mollie Walsh, a woman who stood up to abuse, refused to stay in a relationship where she was degraded and hurt.
Leaving cost her everything. She was murdered by her partner.

This park marks rememberance for her and all women who refuse to tolerate abuse.

Also, my kids have enjoyed this park for years. As well as the tenants of the Pullen house south east of the park.

What an amazing little park! We were visiting the town and our little guy needed to get out some energy and this place was a savor! It was a fantastic park with lots for kids to do and it was adorable! They also had cut up rubber instead of mulch which is always a bonus!

This is the only play park in the old town of Skagway. It has tire chips covering the whole play area with nice grass outside of it. It has a public restroom, benches and picnic tables. The park equipment on Google Street View, as of this writing, is an older park that has been replaced. There are nice trees for shade by the grass.

There are a couple of signs with the history of Mollie Walsh in the Klondike and a bust of her that was commissioned by her rebuffed suitor Jack Newman in 1930.

If you go there in the first to second week of August, you may even see spawning salmon up Pullen Creek that runs along its one border.

The kids thought this was the highlight activity of town and it was a life saver for our trip.

Perfect little Park to keep my busy boy active and out of trouble while the family did some shopping while we were in Port. Loved the tires for cushion under the playground. What a great idea

An unusual and historic park and playground to enjoy if you’re exploring more than tshirt shops in Skagway. For those who hike further than the main drag, many gems and educational surprises await.
