Blue Spruce Motel

We have stayed here multiple times, and comparing to other local Massena lodging, The Blue Spruce is the cleanest. They also have large spacious rooms with amenities that can support short term and long term stay as well as families. The staff are so kind and friendly. This is the only place we will stay when we are in the area. Plus fresh cheese curd is a sure treat!!!

We were coming through town to see the place where we lived nearly 40 years ago. The Blue Spruce Motel was a perfect spot for our overnight. Our room felt like it could have been a guest suite in someone's home. One could easily make this a base for many days, as the kitchen facilities are excellent, the bed comfortable, and the living area roomy. On top of all that, the nightly rate is very reasonable.

My Wife and I stayed at this very comfortable and welcoming place, we enjoyed an abundance of delicious complimentary coffee in a peaceful atmosphere paired with a full kitchen, cozy beds and excellent friendly service. This is definitely our place to stay when visiting the beautiful town of Massena. Thank you Gina, Mike, John, Christina, and of course the lovely Liliana. Anyone coming to visit Massena should try the Blue Spruce, and their delicious homemade donuts, different Honey varieties or the maple syrups along with other treats that are for sale at the cool little shop at the check-in office.

I can’t even begin how wonderful our experience has been at the Blue Spruce. It was such a delight having come from NYC to a very welcoming country style setting. What makes it special are the people. From the little country store to home made warm donuts to take on the road back home. I can’t thank Gina and John enough for their wonderful hospitality. We look forward to coming back!!!

I do some consulting in Massena a couple times a year. It has been difficult to find a good place to stay right in Massena. When I was booking for my latest trip (trip was last week) I came across the Blue Spruce Motel. I asked some people I know in Massena and they said they had never heard anything bad about it, so I booked it. Bottom line, it is an amazing place. The folks who run it are very friendly and helpful.
I booked one of their suites that has a full kitchen. Since I am paid a flat rate for consulting, all my expenses have to come out of that amount. It has become very expensive to eat every meal at restaurants when I am on the road. So my wife and I brought along groceries and prepared our breakfasts, lunches, and dinners while we were there!
I have found that the biggest question mark about local motels can be the bed. I have had some miserable experiences, but we found the bed at the Blue Spruce was one of the most comfortable we have ever experienced.
We are going back in July and, before we left, I booked the same room for our return!

Perfect little motel for anyone. Nice and quiet and close to everything in town. Customer service was amazing as well. We came from Atlanta and still felt like home

Very clean and quaint place! Rooms are clean and have all the amenities you could need including a full size fridge! Very affordable with friendly staff. Close to lots of restaurants, shopping, and only 20 minutes away from the casino! We will definitely come back next time we go to the casino!

This place is awesome......Gina is awesome! All the staff was super professional and friendly. The room was completely spotless, even the baseboards had been cleaned recently! Fresh donuts and cheese curds on site was such a nice surprise. Super close to main shopping areas but far enough away that it feels like you're in a small town. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice room, great amenities. Coffee maker, small refrigerator freezer. Nice bathroom. Clean and well maintained. No service over the weekend, did not inhibit myself. Just noting. Quiet setting. Easy access to the main hwy 37 and plenty of restaurants for meals. I like the towels are not white. Nice decor. Large bathroom. Affordable pricing, call the hotel for the best possible rates. Friendly staff and nice landscape. Wifi was solid.

Thankful that we decided to stay at the Blue Spruce Motel while in Massena and enjoy the hospitality offered by Gina and her family. It has all the charm and comfort that comes with a more authentic, small-town, family-run motel, and the cleanliness and professionalism that you'd expect from national and international chains. Looking forward to staying again.

We stayed here in March while visiting a nearby college. The room was comfy and exceptionally clean. The couple who run the motel are friendly and diligent about keeping it clean and well maintained. They have a lovely outdoor space with a grill and a giant Jenga set. A real gem. Easy to access the Massena airport. Restaurants within walking distance. Will stay here again.

My husband and I had to work in the area for a few days and they suggested the suite so we could have a bit more room for a longer stay. Totally worth it! It’s like a super clean Air B&B. We had the option to make our own meals because we had an oven/stove, but there’s an awesome Italian restaurant just next door. We couldn’t have chosen a more comfy, clean place to stay. Management was super helpful and nice too!! A+++
We will definitely stay here again if we’re passing through!!

The owners Mike and Gina are some of the most helpful people ensuring a peaceful night sleep . The rooms are extremely nice and clean. The staff is very professional and polite !! They have a vegetable garden for guests to enjoy fresh vegetables. The guest are encouraged to use the grills to cook a meal, while enjoying a camp fire, even have a guest laundry room. I travel often for my job , the owners work hard make sure your stay is memorable. It truly is a LITTLE BEDDER

Have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The owners are very friendly and outgoing. Got to buy the donuts...homemade and delicious! Room was very clean, loved the soap and shampoos, best quality towels. Definitely would stay here again and highly recommend it.

Myself and my business partners were just in Massena for a fishing expo. We decided to stay at the Blue Spruce because of the reviews. Well these reviews don't lie! The hotel was spotless! I have been a business traveler for years and have never stayed in such a clean place! The room even smelled clean when you opened the door. Location was great, very close to everything. The owners were so awesome. They even cleaned off our cars during a snow storm! And those donuts! OMG, I have never had anything so good. It felt like I was at home at the Blue Spruce. If you are ever in need of a great hotel in the area, I highly recommend the Blue Spruce!

I can't say enough about the blue spruce! It's clean, quiet and beautiful. My husband is staying here while away on business and the owners are taking very good care of him. His room is absolutely perfect and so clean! I cant wait to meet you guys next month when i come too see him.Thank you!

When I went to visit my boyfriend in Massena, this is by far the best motel to stay at. It's extremely clean, spacious and the suite that I paid for was amazing. It was like having a home away from home. Your own bedroom, stove, microwave and refrigerator plus two seperate tvs. It was definitely worth the price. I would recommend this motel to anyone staying in the Massena area. Just please note, DO NOT lock yourself out at 2 am when you go out for a cigarette because the staff will not answer the door to let you back in, which is completely understandable. I had to sleep in the cold car in shorts because I locked myself out of my room and the staff wouldn't answer.

Mike and Gina are Inn Keepers doing it right! Our college fishing team stayed here for a week and we could not have asked for a better place to stay. The rooms are incredibly clean and well maintained. The suites with kitchens are well stocked with every thing you need to cook. But the best part of the whole stay was Gina's homemade, old fashion donuts! So good! If you are anywhere near Massenna, NY, be sure to stay here!

We were blown away by the excellent customer service provided by owners. They went above and beyond in offering assistance and service. Very convenient location to the airport. Cozy, clean, comfortable rooms with all the essentials. Nice outdoor seating area with fire pit and tables. Cute gift shop. Wish we could have tried the homemade donuts. We will stay here again.

We were extremely happy with the accommodations 😊💚 What a nice , CLEAN, quiet place to lay your head , when traveling. Loved the friendly owners. It was fun to feel right at home. Only a couple things we wished for ..a harder pillow on the beds and the outside soda machine was empty. But it was March..so maybe the colder weather was the reason for that. All in all, I'd stay there again in a heartbeat! Cleanest place I've ever stayed it ! Wonderful 😊
