Mason's Grill

We are in town visiting and stopped for lunch. The food hit the spot! My husband ot the catfish Acadian and I got shrimp and grits. The flavors were delicious! The service was outstanding and the owner even stopped by to chat with us. Highly recommend!

We had not been to Mason’s Grill in a while and were very pleased with our return visit. The food was as good as always and they are as busy as always. What has changed is a full staff of very friendly employees. They have enough people to offer excellent service, something so often missing in many other restaurants today. We will be back.

VERY popular place! Always busy, great service, scrumptious food, lively atmosphere. Two to large groups no problem! Parking in front small lot, expanded long lot behind building. Have Sunday Brunch I'd reserve your table any day.

Great brunch experience. The chicken and waffles was good. The pancakes yessss. And the fried catfish and loaded grits are amazing. We had a few appetizers and they were even good-onion rings, spinach dip, and the Buffalo wings(which we ordered some to-go as well. And the highlight for me was the $15 bottle of champagne and it comes with your free choice of juice. I will definitely visit here again.

Absolutely RECOMMENDED! I am a return customer due to management (Robert) and staff....not to mention the food is authentic with bayou flare....I've used this restaurant for catering and have not been disappointed....if you see this review, tell Robert that I sent you! Put a smile on his face!!! Wonderful person :)

Simply put. ..... bring your appetite and stretchy pants! The burgers are huge yet extremely tasty. The house burgers have a gourmet flair but if that isn't your thing they have a build your own burger section and it includes a whopping 3/4 pound option! To wrap it all up the service was superb overall excellent dining experience!

Perfect example of how much Google reviews help consumers. I was looking for a place that had bottomless mimosas for lunch. Although Mason comes up in a search as a place with bottomless mimosas, it’s no longer an option. The bottle of champagne was $15 and we were able to get the juice of our choice.

Prices are reasonable and food portions are ample. Service is pretty quick considering it’s brunch time.

Oh yea, it’s loud in the bar area…might be too loud for some and for others like me - just good vibes and great atmosphere!

Best onion rings I’ve ever eaten!! Three of us had chicken and waffles, except I swapped out my waffle for a pancake. The food was absolutely delicious and seasoned to perfection. Not bland nor too salty. Someone else in our party had fried catfish and shrimp which they were happy with. For appetizers we also had the artichoke dip which was a bit thick but it was still very tasty and the Buffalo wings were great as well. Really no complaints at all about any of the food. The place is real lively and staff is very accommodating and attentive. We gave our waitress Shelli a $40 tip ($166 bill). You could tell she was overwhelmed and tired but she gave us her undivided attention and was extremely helpful with our food selections. The menu is extensive and being our first time there, everything looked good. We had no idea what we wanted so she was really a big help with us narrowing down our choices.

My next venture there will be for Taco Tuesday.

When we drove up, the parking lot was crowded but people were coming and going so we found a spot easily. I’m not sure but there may be additional parking in the back.

We literally picked this place off of google maps without much to go on, other than the menu and a quick glance at reviews. We were in the area for the weekend and wanted to eat somewhere local. We needed it to be quick, good, and a good value for the money and it was all of that and so much more! The parking lot was full so that was a good sign right off the bat. We were afraid there would be a long wait but we were taken straight to a table and had the best service and food! They were quick and friendly, the food was amazing, the place was clean and inviting, and the owner even came by to check on us and talked with us for several minutes. We definitely picked a winner and we highly recommend! This is how a “mom & pop” restaurant should be to be successful!

Great time at Masons Grill! My wife and I went there for our new tradition. "Sunday Lunch Dates". We got there around 12:00, and it was brunch time, which I was amped for, and my stomach was on grawl mode lol

We were greeted by our waiter, Robert, who was on the top of his game! He is hands down one of the best waiters I've had this year. Great Job Robert!

The food was great as well. My wife ordered the Belgium Waffle combo with eggs and hash potatoes. I ordered the Steak Omlet w grilled onions, grilled peppers, sautéed mushrooms and avacodo, and also the blueberry pancakes🫐🥞. Robert said he'd be highly surprised if I could finish the pancakes because they were pretty massive and, of course.... I finished them, lol. It was delicious. Great job, Mason's Grill!

Oh, and I'll be back to try the Sweet Potato Waffle that Robert was talking big things about. Sounds right up my alley 🧇

I tell you what, this is the best kept secret in Baton Rouge. But I'm going to say it anyway. I have been there several times, but today was the first time I tried the traditional burger (1/2 lb.) With a grilled cheese sandwiches for the bun, yes both bottom and top. I was full at half the burger, but I ate the whole thing it was so good. That crispy grilled cheese toasted in butter is what made this burger. Paired with a side of onion rings and sweet tea. The service is always on par with the excellent and diverse menu. Friendly staff, great management, now that's a recipe for success.

Fine dining at budget prices! When we arrived there was a 30 min wait but it was well worth it. I didn't see it on the menu but they do have boudin stuffed onion rings and they were seasoned to perfection. I ordered the Aloha Burger. It was made on a brioche bun that melted in your mouth. The portions were huge and you will leave stuffed. I recommend this to anyone traveling to this area.

The shrimp and grits… amazingx shrimp was cooked perfect. & our server Colton was amazing, funny, attentive, & very sweet. Ask for colton as a server if you come here!

This was my first time coming here and I was blown away! I’m from New Orleans, therefore not too many food places impress me down here because I don’t feel like it’s good. This is the first time in a long time that I really loved the food and not to mention the customer service was phenomenal. Everyone greets you and everyone has a smile. Will be back soon!

Everything we order here is delicious! The portions are huge too… plenty to save for later if you want! Sometimes there is quite a wait… but it’s worth it. Friendly employees and everything is clean and looks good… great atmosphere for any occasion.

Oh Heavens!!! I received a Dessert Coupon for my birthday. So We made our Second Trip there, which was insane because we should have been several times considering they definitely have a Super Unique Menu's! Restaurant and Bar....
Luke was Our Server this time around and what a Complete Delight He Was! Especially when finding exceptional Customer Service is so Rare these days!

The shrimp and crawfish ettouffe was amazing. The staff was very knowledgeable on local beers and helped me pair a nice beer with the meal. A great place to eat and I'm glad I stopped. I'll definitely visit again when I'm in Baton Rouge.

The burgers are always good and good atmosphere to sit, talk and relax during lunch. The fries are usually good. Today a little over done. The staff is always welcoming and sits us where we feel comfortable.

Have rolled the dice twice and have had horrible wait staff the last two times we've come here since the new owners took over. Not sure when potato hash turned into sliced, boiled potatoes either. People still flock here for alcohol and burgers, so as long as they don't screw that up this place will stay.

We love coming to Mason's! Today we came for brunch with a group. The food came out hot and fast and the wait staff was lovely. Our waitress was knowledgeable and helpful in answering questions.

The food was awesome! We had a little bit of several things and I have to say the French toast is impressive. A fresh bread loaf cut in half, dredged and pan fried, covered in powdered sugar and syrup. Yum! It got inhaled pretty fast but I managed to snag a pic of the aftermath on the way out.
