Spent Saturday and Sunday. My first time there. Was amazing, it was a fantastic day. Great weather on Saturday, was a cloudy day on Sunday. What made it extra special was spending time with my grandsons.

We always enjoy our stays at this little gem of a park. The water on Lake Livingston is entirely too low, so no boat launching from here, but the park is still great. Well maintained, great staff and lots of shade to enjoy Texas summers and these cooler 90 degree plus "fall" days too.

Wolf Creek park is a beautiful place. Very laid back staff. Awesome lil store in the park that has just about anything you could need on a camping trip. The back loop was very quiet. Spot 97 was perfect. It has a huge yard and your door faces the yard and you don’t have another RV next to you that your looking at. It’s very level. Only about a inch off. We highly recommend this park for family’s.

Beautiful place. Very relaxing. Bathroom is clean although shower temperature is not adjustable. It gets very hot after a little while. A lot of ants. Luckily my wife researched before we go. We kinda prepared it in advance. Still a great place to go.

Haven’t been here since I was in Highschool. (1990-1993) we had karate camp here every year. I was planning on going to lake Livingston state park but it was fully booked. In fact every state park was fully booked. Guess everyone spends thanksgiving break camping???? Anyways saw this on Google maps and I had totally forgotten it!!!!

Let me tell you!!!! Same day booking happened online (can’t do that with the state parks and national parks)

A park store was walkable distance we were able to get ice, snacks, wood (barrel of wood 🪵 for $20)
Never had to leave the park!! Highly recommend this place you haven’t been.
Park for the kids, fishing…. Can’t wait to go back with the family!

Great experience here so far. Restrooms/showers are close by. They’re clean and the water is hot. Short walk to the lake and plenty of trees to hang a hammock. Each campsite has a leveled surface to put up a tent as well as water and electricity (the ones that say this). Also a fire ring and BBQ pit at these spots.

Campsite is quiet, well-laid out and the woman that took my reservation over the phone was friendly and helpful. The views over the lake are amazing-beautiful sunrises, and the full moon rose over the lake the night before which was lovely. There is a swimming area and playground too. Restrooms are very clean!

Wolf Creek Park is an amazing park. The park is very well kept. The park has very clean shower and bathroom houses. The site are relatively level and paved. Some sites are very large and you don't feel very close to your neighbors. Some site have a very long length where you are able to park on the paved area of you site as well. They have some sites that are right on the lake (back in). There is also an on-site store that is well stock with common groceries, snacks, snow cones, common caping items and park souvenirs. There is a small putt putt golf course near the store. There is a designated area for swimming and a boat ramp.

The water was clean, and felt really nice! There was green grass to set up your towels and lounge chairs, umbrella, etc. They had restrooms, plenty of parking, plenty of areas to sit, (no built in canopies or picnic tables though) but they had a designated swimming area roped off. My kids had a blast, and met some new friends! We will most definitely be coming back! This park is awesome, and it also has a playground. 🥳

Very calm and clean campground, including the restrooms. We found this place when camping at a nearby site and passing by it. Staff were very friendly and helpful even though I arrived there at 1 AM.

They have a designated area for swimming where the kids enjoyed their time. We definitely plan to visit again and recommend this spot to whoever has yet to go there.

What a beautiful park tucked away behind amazing country roads on Lake Livingston, RV spots are very close to the water as you can see in the photos, very clean, well maintained, has clean restrooms, well equipped store, good boat ramp and welcoming staff! Will be visiting again in the future for sure

We LOVED this park. The facilities are great! One of the best general stores of any campground we have been to. Free DVDs and just about everything you may need. There are some hills in the park so our beach cruiser bike is difficult to ride around. I feel like they should raise their rates by $10. Well worth it

What an amazing park this is! I have so much to say, I'll distill my thoughts into a list.
1) Roads: pavement is perfect. Soft shoulders, nice wide lanes and gentle corners make navigating your RV, etc., very easy. Also roads are free from gravel so riding bicycles is safe.

2) Restrooms/Showers: These are quite possibly the most sanitary bathrooms I've ever seen at a park. Better than TPWD. Better than even a National Park! Plus these facilities are everywhere in the park so you never have to travel far to do your business.

3) Campsites: HUGE spaces allotted allotted each campsite. RV slips are level and perfectly maintained. Tap water at the camp actually tastes great and has strong pressure. Park staff even picks up your trash bags for you!

4) Views: Spectacularly beautiful views of the lake and surrounding Sam Houston National Forest. Scrub brush has been widely cleared so almost any spot in the park has a nearly unobstructed view.

5) Wildlife: HUGE woodpeckers, eagles, and a few dozen assorted little chirpy birds. Truly feels like a wildlife preserve.

6) Park Store: charming, reasonable prices, friendly staff!

7) Prices are reasonable to rent campsite with power and water. Actually a real bargain if you compare with some local RV campgrounds.

I have been to campgrounds all over the United States, including state parks, private parks, and national parks. I've especially spent a great deal of time in Texas parks. The Trinity River Authority has done a literally AMAZING job...I mean that...I stood again and again in amazement at the job they've done here. Top marks yall! We will definitely be back!

Ok, so I can't say enough about Wolf Creek. This is our second time out with our pop up and we'll be back. Clean, friendly staff, quiet, lots of amenities, spacious, lakefront, boat access... I mean, this place is pretty much spot on.
