My experience with Vermeiulen has been so much appreciated beyond any words after losing loved ones.🙏❤. The staff goes above and beyond to offer a listening ear and offer support. i also want to thank Carol for taking time to go over the selection of memorabilia in selecting keepsakes of loved ones. I brought a friend in to get her cremation done and she had so much anxiety before and after Stan showed so much compassion and patience in explaining everything she left with a peace of mind . . I also highly recommend attending the grieving meetings offered once a month in Plymouth . They will make you feel like family and sharing stories is very healing❤🙏.

The people at the Vermeulen & Sajewski Funeral Home have been extremely sympathetic and kind during the many funerals of my family members in the past 3 years. We've lost 4 people in that timeframe, my mother, 2 sisters and recently my oldest son. The people there were extremely helpful and not only sympathetic but empathetic as well. Even after the funerals they reached out to me to ask how I was doing and provided an emotional support option for continued care. I would definitely and wholeheartedly recommend this funeral home for your loved ones funerals as you will be treated with respect, and they will assist you in offering the best choices and options while keeping the costs down.

I can’t Thank them enough for going above and Beyond .. made this horrible time go as easy as possible.. kind and compassionate .. even after as I struggle with papers they are there helping me.. they become family.. this is not just a job to them.. This is not the first time I have used them.. and this is why I chose to come back!!

My family lost my dad in September. My brother and I took care of the arrangements so our mom wouldn’t have to. We went and met with Jim the next day and took care of absolutely everything! We had the times, dates, church , flowers, music, casket , vault, prayer cards….everything we needed.
They did an amazing job with my dad. He actually looked better at the visitation, than before he passed away. The room for visitation was set up beautifully , and they kept track of all the flowers coming in. They even arranged to donate the ones that we couldn’t use and get the ones we wanted to the church. I’ve been back to the funeral home many times since then to get more thank you cards or copies of something. Everyone there are been kind, patient, compassionate, and extremely helpful through this difficult time.
My family can’t thank all of you enough for everything you’ve done and continue to do for us.
I hope it’s a very long time before we need your services again, but you will be the ones we call ❣

My mother recently pasted away and this was the first time I ever had to plan for a funeral. From the minute I walked in the door I was welcomed liked I a was a family member and immediately felt this is the place that I want to take care of my mother. The funeral home staff asked what I wanted and my mother's wishes after her passing. I let them know what her wishes were and how I would like things done. Without hesitation and absolutely no sales pitch they began the process. The funeral home team made me feel that without a doubt I had nothing to worry about during my bereavement. It is such a blessing for my family and I that this place went above and beyond our expectations. Rest in Peace mom.

Thy did a good job with my daughter and thy comfort me and my family when we were going threw a rough time and still thy ask me if I'm ok . Thank u so much

Vermeulen Sajewski Funeral home was so wonderful to me and my family for my father's funeral. We really appreciated Stan and his compassion and willingness to help us in every aspect of the funeral. It really help lift the burden off of our hearts during that difficult time. Thank you for all you did for me and my family, we will never forget it.

We had to do a small viewing for family that could not travel to my moms funeral destination on the other side of the state. We had a wonderful experience with this place. They made my mom look like she did before dementia changed her. She looked beautiful and natural and her hair was done just the way she would have done it herself. The visitation was perfect. It was a very special day.

This is the second time I've used the services at Vermeulen Funeral Home in Westland. The first time I was trustee of the estate of my dear friend. Everything was pre-planned in great detail back in 2005, and not needed until 2021. Every was great and the workers were so very helpful.
My most recent experience was June 2023, when my dear dear husband passed away. Nothing had been planned, I was and still am an emotional mess. So thankful for my children and the wonderful people at Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home in Westland. Stan, Carol, Debbie, Chris, Elizabeth just to name a few, they all are so helpful. They treated us as if we were their family. Always so compassionate, caring, guiding us in decisions that needed to be made. They all went more than the extra mile to accommodate and make such a difficult time easier for our family. Even though things needed to be explained more than once they didn't mind. Since the funeral they've been in contact with me several times to see how I'm doing and if they can be of help. It is comforting to me to know that they are but a phone call away.
Losing a loved one is so hard and having the help and expertise of the workers at Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home in Westland certainly was a huge blessing to our family. Sincerely,

Stan and staff are absolutely First Class, 5 star professionals. Every step of the way, helpful, with clear info on what was happening and an unending willingness to listen and do it Our way. Their follow up and support days afterward was also helpful.

I had a wonderful experience the other day with Carol that works here. I was in a mad rush for my best friend to track down a guest list book at the last minute for her mom’s memorial the next day. Not knowing who to call, after calling multiple places with either no answer or nothing in stock, I got ahold of Carol here at Vermeulen. She went above and beyond to help me with this! I was able to put my best friend at ease quickly and didn’t have to spend all day tracking one down. Even though the memorial service wasn’t taking place at this establishment, she still made me feel as if I was a very important customer. Thank you for being so kind and thoughtful!
