Ventura's Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar

This place was incredible, and Robbie, our server, was absolutely so fun and sweet. The owners let us try fresh mint and oregano that they cut right in front of us. The outside view of the water with lights after sunset was stunning. Beautiful place for pics. The starter bread set the stage for it all. Hard not to fill up on just that. Food itself was super special - the Penne Portifino was top tier. Lobster Ravioli and NY style pizza was also very special. Thanks Robbie and all!

The best part of Anna Maria island is this place. Fresh taste . We came in at 8:30 and they close at 9 . Everything came out fast and fresh. The meatball appetizer is enough for a meal brings four big meatballs. Pizza was delicious and crispy. Spaghetti and meatball was perfectly cooked. Dessert was fantastic. The tiramisu was excellent. Consistently tasty, fresh, well prepared, and delicious. We have never had a bad meal at Ventura’s. Thank you Deb and Mike . Tonight we had the Chicken parmigiana and Eggplant parmigiana: the chicken was perfectly breaded, a great portion size and the sauce so flavorful. The Eggplant was fresh, perfectly flavored and breaded, and nice thickness . The accompanying house salad is fantastic and beautifully chopped. The side of bread was fresh and the accompanying red sauce was very flavorful. Whether you take out ( we did tonight) or eat in the cozy restaurant, Ventura’s is a gem on Whitney Beach.

I had an amazing experience at this Italian restaurant! The food was incredibly fresh and delicious, showcasing authentic flavors that truly impressed me. The service was top-notch, and the owner, Debra, was exceptionally knowledgeable about wine selections. Her insights into the history of the wine we selected added an extra layer to the dining experience. The atmosphere felt like being at home, cozy and inviting. Overall, a fantastic place to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine while feeling warmly welcomed. Highly recommend when in the Long Boat Key area.

Compliments to owner, Debra, for caring about the customer’s food concerns. We were a party of 3, one being vegan. Debra came to our table & explained sauce ingredients. All our entrees were very good. My sister had the pasta with sausage which she said was excellent. Sharon, our server, was efficient, pleasant and funny.

The most personable service from everyone, especially from the Owner Deb, who was our waitress. She was so VERY welcoming and great recommendations on food and wine. We (group of 4) didn’t have reservations but they still found us a table very quickly even though they were very busy.
The food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

In addition, the next day, we decided to order pizza to be delivered to our condo. It was delivered cheerfully by the owner herself, hot and very very good.

Always enjoy eating at Ventura’s. It’s our a favorite local neighborhood restaurant. Best Pizza on the island. Owners are so nice & servers really pleasant. Last night it was Robby & his friendly attitude is really appreciated.

We had an excellent dinner for six. In town to visit our parents and met up at Ventura’s, table for six. Robbie was our waiter and was the best! Each dish was unique and very flavorful. Highly recommend Venturas.

My husband and I went to Venturas with a group of friends at the end of a June. Excellent service (shout out to Robby, the best server ever), absolutely delicious food, and the owner even paid our table a visit in person to thank us for coming. We had an incredible time, and I’m still thinking about how amazing the food was. My husband had the Chicken Parmesan and I had the cheese-based pizza bowl with sausage, bell peppers, and pepperoni. We LOVED it so much, we didn’t even stop to take pics of our food.

We haven't been here for a while, but I'm sorry we waited so long to get back. Authentic Italian food! The menu is extensive, and so is their wine list. 🍷 The food is FRESH and delicious. 😋 The staff is friendly and gives you a family-friendly feel. We didn't try the pizza, but we saw some as we were leaving. They looked and smelled delicious. We will definitely be back on our next visit to LBK.

I could write a lot, but very simply, the flounder francaise was astounding. It was one of the best pieces of fish I have ever had, maybe even the best. The owner came out to personally greet us and make sure we were enjoying our meal. Don't judge it by the building from the outside, the inside matches the ornate door.

This place is awesome! The owners are some of the nicest people & they care about everyone that comes through their doors. Great pizza!! Love that they have gluten free options!

We came here on Mother’s Day. First one since my Son passed away and we weren’t really sure if we even wanted to go out. Everything about our evening was so nice from the reservation, our server Robbie, the delicious food and the pleasant atmosphere to everyone we crossed paths with. Walked across to the beach after for the sunset. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Four of us had dinner at Ventura's Monday night and Wow! Deb the owner, Fran the hostess, and our server Brett went above and beyond to give us a fantastic meal and wonderful experience. They treated us like family! From the bread to the salad to the main courses - everything was amazing! The pizza is up there with the best we've ever had. We sat out back, on the water, and watched fish jump and seabirds sailing on the breeze. It's a MUST if you're in the Longboat Key area!

Beach meets Italian! The pizza is so good and fresh ingredients. The bar in the back had a good view of the bay.

Great hidden gem, food was incredible, view on the back porch was great- you can watch fish jump, crabs, manatees and other wildlife while enjoying great food. Would love some music on the patio and lighting in the evening!

First time at this restaurant, because the locals were saying it was really good. It was not only good it was wonderful! Everything was served and at a perfect relaxed pace by our waiter Alan. From the crusty Italian bread with marinara dipping sauce …whetting our appetites with a Tomato Al Caprese..through the family-style salad and …into the main entrees of Chicken Marsala and Veal Cannelloni, and topped off with a Limoncello cake and Cannolis, everything was mouthwatering and delicious! Each item was enhanced by a robust bottle of Pino Noir❤ We will definitely be back as there’s so many more items on the menu that we want to try!

We visited Ventura for the first time last night!! Dinner for 4 and it was terrific! We shared the fried zucchini ….had the Sicilian Margherita pizza and Caprese salad….all were excellent!! The wine choices were great too!

The owner, Debra and her team made us feel so welcome and we loved hearing the story of how they landed in Longboat Key!!!

We look forward to visiting again before we head back home!!!

Love Ventura’s! My family and I stopped by for lunch and Debra (the owner) was the best!! Super friendly, great service and extremely kind to our 15 month old…even after the mess she made. This restaurant consistently makes you feel welcome and the pizza is my favorite on Longboat Key. We normally do delivery or take out for dinner (after putting the baby down), but so happy they are now open for lunch. We will definitely be back…thank you for a great local restaurant!
