This place is amazing! Great atmosphere, friendly service, excellent food! Dine in is enjoyable and they explain things on the menu that may be new to you. You go to the register to pay, which I love, because it doesn’t feel like they are forcing out with the bill at the table. Amazing agua frescas as well!

first time here. food was spectacular. everything was fresh, flavorful, healthy, place was clean, my server was awesome, everyone was friendly. going to be a new favorite. the food was prepared with a lot of care and it wasn’t heavy or greasy like other places. Glad I went to try it. thank you

Really good Mexican food here!

Have been here three times in a week since I found this spot! Good portions great value, friendly service, good price! You should try it out by yourself! We tried different dishes from tacos, to soups and fajitas, everything were wonderful, and we love their margaritas as well!

My picky-eater kids like their chickens and cheese dips, the meats here are very juicy and not too dry (not like other places that over marinate their old meats to cover the old meat taste, IYKYK).

I’m basic so I only ordered tacos and margaritas. They were both very good especially the margaritas, the drinks were great: strong and tasty, you know sometimes drinks either too sweet full of syrup or toooooo strong that you can’t taste anything else but alcohol. I came here for the foods, and to me they’re great, atmosphere is not like traditional Mexican restaurants but to me I’m fine with it.

Overall I recommend this place and I will definitely come back to try more items.

Good reviews sent us to El Cubilete for the first time! Absolutely amazing food and service. Quick and very friendly. Big portions for a good price and we got a really yummy (and huge) horchata for only $4. i got Alambre de pollo and boyfriend got birria tacos

Usually I don't leave reviews for anything, but El Cubilete has given some of the best service I've ever had at a restaurant.

My father and I came in from out of town and stayed at a hotel not far away from El Cubilete, so we decided to head there for lunch. The food was top-notch. We ordered chicken fajitas and left with some extra to eat later. The staff, including our server Carolyn, were very kind and hospitable. I highly recommend this establishment.

The food is absolutely 💯 amazing great flavor. I definitely recommend to anyone who likes Mexican food to try this out. The chips and salsa are fabulous the mole was delicious and the Micheladas are the best in town.

Wow! Another delicious spot in Murfreesboro. The second you walk in you can smell you're gonna love it. I had the Barbacoa de res and it was amazing. The salsa and chips was also excellent. I love the extra crunchy fresh chips. Much closer to authentic Mexican food. I really enjoyed this. It reminded me a bit of my time in Monterey Mexico. Great food and great service. I'm sure I'll be back.

This morning I started the day by looking at reviews of new Murfreesboro restaurants.
I started reading great wonderful reviews about El Cubilete and when I mentioned it to my wife she said great I'm free for lunch.
We just returned and what a treat it was. I can't believe I drove by the location so many times and didn't stop in. Their focus is on doing things right, I can tell. From the fresh chips and homemade salsa ,wonderful agua frescas, the food was fantastic. I believe everything made there is made from scratch. Probably the best Mexican food I'd ever had. My wife had her old standby Fajitas. I had a spicy pork dish, Asado de Puerco, that was out of this world. Perfect! Beware, it's 🔥🔥🔥.
The staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great dining experience. I can hardly wait to go back.

Look, I love them. My friend loved them. We got 2 appetizers and 4 meals for $60... On top of the fact that we totally could have shared one meal 😂😂 but that's not how we roll. We roll buffet style.
Guac and chips, queso and chips: delicious. These are not your normal BS chips. These are the real deal. No, you cannot get chips and salsa here. You can order these plus the green and red sauces. Green is mild and less complex. Red has this DAMNED FINE smoky heat that's just so great.
We got 2 soups: Pozole verde and espinazo de puerco con camarones. Green and red bowls pictures. Look, that pozole verde was like a bowl of comfort that I wanted to dive into. The espinazo de puerco con camarones was like a silky bowl of slightly spicy porky pepper juice with chunks of pork that melt like butter and some shrimp.
Asado de puerco is the red meat dish with rice and beans and 😋😋😋 yummmmmmmoooooo. Tender, perfectly flavored. Just yum.
Sopes (1 beef, 1 pork, 1 chicken) were also delicious but needed a bit of the red or green sauces.
Not pictured: the most perfect corn tortillas I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. No kidding.
All in all, get over there and eat!

We wish we would have taken a picture before we ate it. I have never received a plate of fajitas this large for this reasonable price.

The chips are hand made and the salsa a medium hot. Very tasty indeed.

The restaurant is very clean and appears to be a former McDonald's - don't let that fool you! The wait staff is attentive and efficient.

Well if your looking for authentic Mexican food. You found the spot, there's allot of options here, and honestly probably most soups including goat stew "caldo de chivo" if seen at a Mexican restaurant. But the Barbacoa tacos were fabulous 👌 the barbacoa plate looked to die for as well but I needed something quick for the road. There is a drive through here too which is pretty convenient. Highly recommend a stop here if u need a tasty taco fix 😋 🌮 🌯

El Cubilete is a great place for authentic Mexican food! Everything was awesome and the staff was so attentive and knowledgeable. Our food came out super quick, so this will make a great new lunch spot.

My first visit today about 12:45pm and it was about 70% full. Quick, friendly service and an interesting menu. I went with the usual steak Chimichanga and it was very good. Plenty of food. They only sell tea and soda by the bottle. Not the cheapest though as the entree, one diet coke, chips and salsa totaled $15. I recommend it for the uncommon menu items.

Ordered 4 meals and two with 3x sour cream , no sour cream came with my order when it arrived. Will eat here again, but please remember to add sour cream. The two tamale's I ordered also were amazing!!!! I forgot to ask to shred the pork ;)

Excellent Mexican food "casero" (homemade) style! Large portions for a great price! Chips are made in house as well as the tortillas.

Fantastic food that is extremely authentic and very flavorful. The manager at this location is very friendly and willing to answer any questions you have. The restaurant has been clean every time my family has visited, and the portions are very large for the price. It's the closest I've gotten to truly authentic Mexican food since my time living in South Texas.

This place is here to STAY!!! If you’ve had the real deal, the Tex-mex stuff just isn’t good. Only the real stuff here 😋 so good!

When you get there, you’ll be seated (if it’s busy) or you’ll be greeted and can choose your table (if it isn’t busy). Great customer service; laid back vibe.

I love my food spicy 🌶 so that was my mission during my first visit. I tried the Mojarra a la Diabla (fried fish with spicy sauce) and it was 🥵😂 it was so good if you’re into that. Husband had the enchiladas and kids had burritos, tacos, and quesadillas. The flavored waters (frescas) are amazing - try them all! Also, if you go to a “Mexican” restaurant and they don’t have horchata…they’re not real. They’re pretend 😂 The horchata here was made just right and helped with my fried fish!!!

We’ve come back because I love soup and wanted to try that. The menudo did not disappoint. It was so good! My family and I will be back again!

Amazing service! We are new to the area and have missed the authentic flavors. This restaurant here is by far the most authentic in the area. They offer several drinks and are all made to order.
