High Desert Inn

When we first drove up to this establishment I was a little leary. There was a shirtless man on the upper level that appeared scary. I registered inside and was happily assured by the warm and professional greeting I received. This made me feel comfortable enough to continue our reservation. Once we walked into our room everything became even more clear. The room was amazingly beautiful and clean. It was obvious that these owners were refurbishing this establishment and decided to do the rooms first. The room was absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. Everything made new with high-end details. We will definitely stay there again and highly recommend to anyone. Very reasonable as well. I can't wait to see the new changes next time we visit.

Friendly check-in, extremely nice owners. Clean rooms. The cutest outdoor area for picnicking and beautiful at night all lite up. Bed really relaxing. Quiet and spacious room. I would strongly recommend this motel to everyone. and an excellent rate. I'm giving this place double thumbs up!!

Super friendly staff, clean rooms and affordable, with an awesome coffee shop just next door! Couldn't have asked for a better experience after a week and a half of camping and sight seeing. Highly recommend.

This was one of the cleanest and best kept rooms I've stayed in, in all of America, and run by the most lovely of hosts. I treated myself to a king room and it was amazingly fresh, clean and modern, even the taps had fancy led lights that lit up the water which was a cute touch. Also such nice carpet!! I know that might sound silly but so many higher end hotels have really rough synthetic poor quality carpets and this place had maybe the best carpet I've ever had in a hotel room. Everything felt good quality and the cleaners had thoroughly cleaned everything absolutely top to bottom perfectly.
As a lone female traveller I've felt uncomfortable and on guard at some places but this place was super safe and is in a peaceful town so I was relieved for this and slept extremely well, and the owners made me feel like i could count on them if I ever needed help with anything and i was so thankful for that being so far from home. I stayed in May so apologies for the late review, High desert Inn pay great attention to detail and I want to let them know their efforts didn't go unnoticed! Thanks again

So glad I found this little jewel. Rooms are comfortable, clean, and owners are friendly. Recommended a wonderful restaurant. Pet friendly and fee is very reasonable. Quiet, beds are awesome and will stay here again

This property is just right in every way..cheaper than most big chain hotels, and very pretty and clean rooms. The perfect place to crash for the night for the weary traveller. Just goes to show you don’t have to be overly fancy, just do the simple things right and straightforward.

Super nice location. The owners were amazing, as did very friendly. It was in the perfect location and I would definitely recommend this establishment. I felt very safe. My dog loved it too. Thank you again to the Desert Inn staff for making this Texas girl feel right at home! See y’all next time!

Nice motel here. Center of town, near a couple of good food places and coffee.
I had a minor issue with my room, it was promptly fixed and is perfect. Great rate, clean and excellent service. Good choice here.

This property has undergone an awesome transformation since I last started there 3 years ago and is the only place in town to stay as far as I’m concerned!

I also met the owner since this is a family run business and also had the benefit of an enjoyable conversation with him.

Do yourself a favor and stay here if you’re in need of area lodging!

Internet was great, and the room had “luxury” features I’ve never experienced before in comparable properties

Service was amazing they are super nice. My room was very clean and comfortable. The gentleman I spoke with at the front desk informed me they have plans to do some remodeling to make it even better but as it stands I think it’s a great place already. You can definitely tell that the people here care about your experience. If I’m ever in this area again I’ll for sure stay here.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The front desk manager was so friendly and chatty. He recommended a cafe for breakfast. The hotel area was so nicely designed and clean. The room was very clean and cozy as well.

Simply fantastic place. Stopped here on the drive to Denver and decided to stop by again on my way back. Very good quality rooms and the gentleman at the front desk was very friendly.

By far one of the best little motel/lodges we’ve stayed at & we’ve done several cross country trips!!

The rooms were pristine, cozy, & quiet. We traveled with our pup & couldn’t even tell any dog had been in our room prior. They were so kind to leave a couple bottles of water in our room, which is always super helpful, as we go through a lot of water during our travels. Also helpful to have a little fridge & microwave in the room as well.

Location was great, easy to check in (even with late arrival), & a safe area to walk around. The staff were so kind, accommodating, & just overall great people. Seems it’s a family run business & you can certainly tell. The cost is super reasonable, as well as the pet fee (we also found out they give to their cleaners for the extra time/work-how awesome). They were super kind about our furry guy (he’s not the smallest pup) & that always stands out to us. I could go on & on, but you get the idea!

100% recommend for a clean cozy stay & will definitely be back next time we’re passing through. Thanks for being so great High Desert Inn!!

I had read reviews that this property was clean and efficient. But jeez, that is an understatement. It was probably the most spotless hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The price was very reasonable and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Comfortable bed, spotlessly clean, and a good price, what else could you ask for?

On a month vacay, I can’t give this one enough stars!! I didn’t expect the nice tech touches, brand new everything! The lighting, the amt of USB ports, everything is new and fresh! Even the faucet has a light! Check in was super easy and the price was amazingly reasonable! Good job 👏👏

What an amazing little hotel. The owner was so welcoming when I walked in. The rooms were super clean and newly renovated. The bed was probably more comfortable than any other hotel i've ever stayed. I will definitely be staying here Every chance I get.

Usually, you get what you paid for. This place is better than what you pay. Nice, clean, updated rooms. Pillows galore! Water bottles everyday and no extra cost.

Really a top hotel for the price. Very clean and spacious rooms. The owner is very personable. The location was also great, I can only recommend it.

This place checks off all the boxes. While it does not have the amenities of major chain hotels, they make up for it with an incredibly friendly staff, pristine cleanliness, perfect location in a safe area, affordability, and so on. They’re also pet friendly!! They charge a per fee but it’s WAY lower than any other place we have stayed.

We stopped here in the middle of a XC trip, and got in late due to some car trouble. There was someone up awaiting our arrival and it was nice to not have to wait awkwardly in the office late at night.

Do not pay any mind to the low reviews, they’re goobers. This is the perfect place after a long day of traveling.
