Really delicious Italian in a charming unique building with even more charming staff. Short seasonal hours so we went big and got the artichoke dip appetizer, lasagna special, shrimp fra diavolo, and a pecan brownie. It's all delicious. Generous portions. Great wine and beer pairing. We came "all the way" from Ned and will be back!

What a find. The food had a wonderful fragrant sauce and the portions were more than ample. The dinning room feels as though you are in the owners home. They cook and deliver your food too and with a smile and a chat. The wines and beer choices are very limited but the dinning experience is still worth the drive

Amazing! Had our wedding dinner here and we were treated so special. It was such a great experience to finish off a perfect evening on our special day. Everyone was so welcoming! Left feeling part of a family. Highly recommended and will definitely come back!

Marrocco’s Restaurant provided a wonderful dining experience. This gem is nestled in a wonderful rustic cabin. The atmosphere, food and service were a pure delight. The Brie appetizer served with apples and grapes was exceptional and the pasta dishes were some of the best we’ve had. This is a definite must try!

This is a true family restaurant - Patrick & Celeste are at the helm, and a cast of Ward-ites make you feel like you're part of the tribe. It's like being invited to your favorite aunt & uncle's for Saturday dinner. The food is great, steady and predictable, with daily specials that provide seasonal variety within the base Italian theme. It's only open Thurs-Sat, and that's half the charm. Vegetables are often from the high-altitude garden, and desserts are OMG yummers. High altitude baking is an art that I never seem to master, but Celeste is in my world - no need. Patrick's grasp of the idioms in Italian cookery would make a chef in Florence smile with approval. This is the cleanest restaurant I've ever frequented - so clean that it's worth mentioning. We live in a time when restaurants are often degraded "concepts" to park excess capital from hedge fund operators who hire an MBA to create a scalable franchise. Marocco's is an organic community that invites you to c'mon over for a bite.

Great Italian meal, friendly staff, cool historic building

We celebrated my parents 59 wedding anniversary with special dinner here. Truly tucked away in the mountains and tiny town of Ward Colorado. The building is charming and be sure to ask about the very rich history. My Dad ordered the Lasagna which was one special. Entrée includes lovely salad with choice of dressing. The lasagna was incredible. My Dad said best he has ever eaten hands down. Filled with fresh cheese and sausage. My Mom had the Chicken Parmigiano special. The chicken was juicy, tender and melted in your mouth. I have the cheese filled ravioli with marinara. Delicious. Homemade bread with each dish. The kiddo ordered cheese pizza and it was really excellent too. We finished meal with slice of blueberry cheesecake with crumb crust. No words...unbelievable!! Also shared a fudge brownie that was rich, moist, and yummy.
Food aside, Lauren was our server and she is patient, kind, and just lovely. What an gem! The other staff we interacted with were so generous and made sure everything was great. Wonderful food, amazing service. Worth the drive from Estes Park for sure. We have traveled this area for years but have found some of the best places are worth the beautiful drive to enjoy truly delicious food. Thank you!!!!

The gluten free pizza is literally the best I have ever eaten. You have to give them notice ahead of time because they prepare the dough in house, and when it comes out it is crisp and delicious, and not soggy in the middle like gf pizza usually is. So fabulous!!

What a terrific little hidden gem! The food was excellent, the building quaint and cozy, and the service welcoming. We will absolutely be back.

It is the love that makes this place so special. Believe me, Patrick and Soon Celeste had been working on this place since his arrival in Ward way back in the 70's and her's some short time later. She's such a doll. I was there (in New Jersey) every Christmas when he came back to visit his mom and dad. So I always heard and saw pictures of his project. Of course we all thought he was a little nuts leaving New Jersey and heading out to some hippie place in the foot hills to the Rockies. Well, it's a remarkable place filled with love.

One of the best restaurants anywhere at any price. Truly a must do experience if you like Italian food. Closed Sunday and Monday, cleaned top to bottom each week literally clean enough to eat off the floor behind the stove, yes it is that clean. The food is great and reasonably priced try and save room for dessert it is worth it. It may sound like I am a family member. But I am not, just lucky enough to get a full tour and hear the story about the restaurant.

Amazing atmosphere, It was very cozy. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The food was amazing. Definitely some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. I will definitely be coming back the next time I visit this area!

If you are looking for delicious then find this restaurant in Ward, Colorado. Anytime is a good one for eating this authentic Italian food, but it is especially incredible after a long hike in the Indian Peaks. This is my favorite place near Peak to Peak Highway-no, it’s my favorite place in Boulder County!

If this restaurant were in Boulder, the line would be around the block. As it is the feeling is as cozy and welcoming as the location is remote. It is Italian family cooking; the food is handcrafted and delicious. pizza to die for in a wonderful little gem in the mountains. Worth the drive.

Such a wonderful experience dining here is. Like many rural European restaurants, don't expect a city-luxury restaurant fanfare, but do expect your family-style meal to be lovingly handcrafted and served with a warm, friendly smile. The desserts are a must. This place is a hidden gem!

A jewel in the mountains above Boulder. Very quaint inside with warm people and incredible home made Italian food. The deserts are to die for and the service is impeccable. This is a must do experience.

The food here is fantastic. I love how the staff makes you feel so welcome. My favorites are the shrimp scampi, the brie and fruit, and the white pizza pies.
