I love the Elk brat, and home
made fries. Shaz makes a fantastic latte. A great spot to take a break after cycling up Lefthand Canyon. Welcoming to cyclists, have a large water container to fill up bottles for the ride home.

This place was awesome! The owner makes all of his food fresh and from scratch with all organic products. He even makes his own pizza dough! You can also meet his sweet pup, Aurora. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend!

The perfect stop after climbing up the hill on a bike. Excellent food options, snacks, drinks and Shaz is a great human! Also some friendly furry friends on patrol, so watch your snacks 😅

Best French Toast I've ever had. The large skillet feeds 2-3 people & it's a great value. Owner is super friendly and uses high quality ingredients. Definitely check this place out. I will be going back soon.

Ward Mountain Exchange is THE BEST breakfast burrito and French toast I have ever had, no exaggeration. The owner was known as “The French Toast Kid” growing up and takes his title very seriously. And boy, he does not disappoint! Served in a hot skillet, the sugar and syrup caramelize on the bottom and then melt in your mouth. The breakfast burrito were made with a hearty serving of perfectly cooked bacon, fresh pico and greens, and the tortilla came seasoned. *Chefs Kiss* Perfect!

We are slowly trying everything on the menu because the food is always above and beyond delicious! Shaz puts his heart and soul into the food and sources good, clean, flavorful ingredients. We’re up to at least 8 visits by now and will continue to visit Ward Mountain Exchange for both the food and the experience. A summer of hikes and happy taste buds awaits us!

Easy 5 stars for Shaz and the Ward Mountain Exchange. I love the vibe, so “back in time” while being creative with the decor. Shaz is an amazing cook who specializes in fresh, organic, healthy and tasty. Everything we ordered was top top. I’m not really a French fry guy but these are hand cut fresh, cooked to perfection. The French toast was the best I’ve ever had, and the breakfast burrito was so good. I look forward to my next visit and hope it’s real soon.

Very friendly staff along with in-house matriarch “Aurora” who is the calmest husky I’ve ever came across. They gave fresh made brats and fries made to order for lunch. Would definitely recommend!

Never a bad meal! Shaz care about his food and his customers. We stop every time we drive through. Elk brats, hot chocolate, wings, fries, burritos, hot cider, all A+!

Im not kidding. This is the best burger on Colorado, it’s1/2 pound of 100% organic, grass fed beef. It’s a must stop on the way back from a hike

Highly recommend a stop here. The hospitality is like no other. Premium quality coffee and service. Appreciate Shaz’s kindness and warmth while waiting for a tow. Next time I’m in Colorado will make sure I stop in for lunch.☕

This place was a total surprise. Driving through Ward we stopped in and had the best meal. Delicious and fresh ingredients made with lots of love. Will drive up to Ward again just to have lunch here.

This place has awesome food and coffee made with care. No joke one of the best vegetarian burritos and lattes I’ve ever had. The owners are super kind and hospitable, definitely stop by if you’re in the area!

They have the best prepared espresso in the area, so it’s worth a ride up there just for the coffee. Everything they sell seems to be high quality ingredients and well made.
