Lenawee Trailhead

Very challenging hike but absolutely worth the effort. The views are amazing. The trail was in pretty good condition and not crowded at all. Must have a high clearance vehicle to drive all the way to the trail head or you could park ~1.5 miles prior to the trail head.

Good camping spots on the way to the trailhead. Road can get a little rough, but any 4x4 with clearance should be fine.

Excellent trail, my family and I are from MN and hiked this up past the tree line, our youngest was 10. Beautiful rock formations that we call pancake rocks. You can look down on many different townships, see different ski resorts. Awesome meadow that you hike thru past the tree line so don't stop until you reach that for sure! There are only two spots to park at the trailhead otherwise there is a large area to park right before you go over the creek, it is maybe a 1/4 mile hike on the road.

This is a very fun hike from the backside of Arapaho Basin to the ski area. It’s 6.5 miles one way with 2,500 vertical with a gradual climb and a ski area descent. My girlfriend went to the top and back to the car to meet me later at the ski areas. I would recommend hiking to the ski area, have lunch and going back.
