Janet Escudero Family Daycare

Janet is a great daycare provider! I had moved from PA and needed a babysitter a few months later. She was recommended from a co worker and when I went to meet her I knew that she would be the one to watch my newborn. I am beyond grateful for Janet! She is an amazing woman and does a great job with my daughter. I would definitely recommend her to anyone needing a daycare provider.

Janet was the best choice for my baby Cattaleya. She is very happy and as a mother I can work with peace of mind because she is in the best place.

I 100% recommend Ms. Janet, we moved from miami and did not know anybody or had any recommendations from nobody and I googled a few a places around me and found this place. I called and set up an appointment to meet her and we felt like my mom was taking care of my baby, my daughter started when she was around 8 months old and now she 2 and cries to not leave the place. My mind is so at peace knowing that my baby loves Ms. Janet and sometimes I have to drag her out of there, she cooks really good food and gives them a lot of love, she literally treats them as of they were her grandkids which to any mother is a big relief to know that the person that takes care of your baby will treat them like family. I'm just so grateful to have found her and don't have enough words to describe my gratitude.

If you are looking for someone that truly cares and always goes above and beyond to have a great fun and safe environment for your children then Miss Janet’s daycare is the right place for you and your children. Miss Janet has been watching our 4 year old and soon to be 2 year old daughters since birth. We appreciate and love the extra mile she always goes, making crafts with the kids and having holiday parties. Not to mention she is a amazing cook! My wife and I both career professionals and parents of 4 kids could never do it without knowing that our babies are safe while we are at work. That is what You also will get!

My son has been going to Janets for 2 years now! I can not say enough about Janet! She is what every parent is looking for! My son has learned so much from her. She is a amazing person and makes me feel comfortable everyday knowing that my son is loved and safe at all times with Janet. She has become part of our family and I’m so happy that we found her. My son loves going there everyday! If your a parent who is looking for your child to be in a safe, reliable ,and loving atmosphere this is the place for your child! If I could give more then a 5 star rating would! Thank you Janet for being what every parent is looking for!

Ms. Janet has basically helped raise (because watch is an understatement) our children. She has taken care of our oldest daughter since she was one and she will be starting Kindergarten this year. She also takes care of our one year and has since birth. If you want someone that puts her heart in it she is your lady<3 Our daughters eat more Puerto Rican food than they do American and I don't blame them because she is an amazing cook!

Janet has been such a HUGE blessing to our family over the last 3 years. She watched our oldest daughter who is now 4 and now cares for our 6-month old son. She truly goes above and beyond for her kids and treats them like her own family. She is bilingual (which we love!) and makes her space feel welcoming, fun, and safe. We love that she is DCF certified and follows amazing safety precautions (even better than our own house sometimes!) Fire drills, evacuations, etc. You will not find anyone better to trust your children with than this woman! It’s as if my son is with extended family! She cares for her people.. she even surprised me one day with homemade horchata to help me with my milk supply! We hit the jackpot when we found her and we will not put our babies anywhere else :) she has everything you are looking for! Kind, courteous, professional, and pours LOVE into each and every child. My issues with this daycare is due to lack of communication and integrity on the owners part. On 6/4/2024 my wife and I received notification that the owner would be taking a day off and that the daycare would be closed. This was a 10 day notification for 6/14/2024. On 6/13/2024 we received a same day notification that daycare would be closed 30 minutes earlier than the normal business hours provided. This is not right but we sucked it up and let it go. The lack of proper notice regarding owners personal day off caused my wife to miss out on work that day (6/14/2024). We had lost money and on top of that were expected to pay for a day that service was not provided!! It was not a national holiday, announced holiday or paid time off notice of even a couple weeks at minimum. Every daycare I have seen before this and even the current new one I have my son enrolled in has this information handy from day 1 so my wife and I are able to make an informed decision about accepting service without being inconvenienced. For example, usually personal days are announced well ahead of time for daycares. This should be a minimum of 14 days
(anything less is unreasonable) and should really be a month notice as it can be very difficult to just ask work time off from an employer in a 10 day notification and really risks termination. Fortunately, my wife was in and out of work at this time and had flexibility with Uber. She did lose money that day but not her job. On 6/17/2024 my wife dropped off our son to be surprised to see another service provider (babysitter) outside of the usual owner. The owner had always watched our son and only her. It would have demonstrated integrity to at least give us a notification of such change. We understand her flight was delayed over that weekend but that is still her duty to inform her customers that another provider would be watching their child. This is pretty messed up but just wait as it gets worse. On 6/17/2024 payment for last week and that following week was due. I informed my wife to pay the full amount minus that Friday prorated. Why should we pay for full service in this scenario? This is not an example of "your paying for the spot" please save me the time! Any owner worthy of integrity would not have given a 10 day notification and expected full payment for service. Per contract we agreed to have our son watched Monday-Friday from 7am-5:30pm. The exception to such is national holidays, announced holidays and additional personal days announced that are agreed upon from day 1 per contract. This should have been communicated from day 1 to give my wife and I the ability to make an informed decision but this never occurred because the business owner lacked communication skills necessary to run her business properly. As I mention I just enrolled my son in a new daycare. From day 1 they define days off and the standard to which they announce these days off regarding announced holidays and paid time off. This gives my wife and I the ability to make informed decisions as any family should be able to do so. This is the right thing to do for others! On 6/18/2024 my wife went to drop off our son at daycare and the owner said we had shorted her payment. My wife explained that we did not short her payment and gave reasoning to why. The owner told my wife to take our son and be gone basically. She refused to give the money back that we had prepaid for that week initially. That is the difference between me leaving 1 star and 3 because that demonstrated to me that indeed this owner lacks integrity and could really benefit from doing a crash course on such subject! Of course given the pushover I am not, I called the owner that day to talk to her which I was given the option to speak to the owners daughter. I informed the daughter of why this was wrong and also requested our money back. We are struggling currently and the owner was going to be okay with taking our money for work she had yet to earn that week. That is truly sad! Thankfully the daughter talked some sense into that cruel woman!!
