We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Brian was super friendly and informative. The inn was atmospheric and elegant. It has a wonderful porch for viewing the lake and eavesdropping on itinerant peddlers. Also, the breakfast was superb! Mackinac Island is an expensive foray, and it would be nice to see more affordable options on the island. We booked the last room available, and it had 2 more beds than we needed. We brought our own bikes to cut costs, but still had to pay $21 for each to transport them on the ferry. I would definitely return but would hope to find better deals off season.

If I could give 10 stars for service, I would! Brian and Christina are perfect hosts. They went out of their way to make our stay great. The house was beautiful with loads of charm. The location was perfect. And the breakfast? Superb! Everything was absolutely delicious. They even made sure to have loads of vegetarian options for our daughter who doesn’t like meat. We can’t say enough good things about our stay. I would recommend Small Point to anyone. We hope to be back soon. Thank you, Brian & Christina for a perfect couple of days!

My husband and I spent a couple nights away for our 20th anniversary at the Small Point B&B. Our hosts were inviting, gave us great pointers on places to eat and check out, breakfast had many choices and was delicious. We loved that it was just out of the hustle and bustle of the busy downtown but yet close enough to walk or ride bikes. Being outside on the porch wrapped up in a blanket watching the water was our favorite view on the island. This place is a real treasure and I can't wait to go back.

We felt right at home. Like a jolly boarding house! Delicious food. Soft towels.
I love the location; you're right on the edge of civilization, between Mission Point and the state park.
The bike rental is so worth it—far cheaper than renting hourly/daily elsewhere.
Christina is a culinary whiz, and Brian a font of local knowledge!

Finally, I'll include two tidbits that are proof of their outstanding willingness to accommodate:
You can store food in a communal fridge even if your room isn't ready yet.
+ You can store your luggage in the living room after you check out, if you want to spend more time on the island before lugging baggage.

Brian was an amazing host! He kept the environment super friendly, and treated us with utmost respect. His place is a 5 min walk from the dark place where you can observe stars, milky way and if lucky - northern lights.

Rooms were tidy, bathroom were always clean, and breakfast was yum!

I came here with some friends of me and my mom's in early September last year. This was a very nice place to stay for almost a week.
The room was a bit warm and dusty but not a big problem, and it was in an attic after all. There are other rooms downstairs but we got the ones on the top. The house was pretty cool, bathrooms were nice. There was a TV in the living room that they let me use. One of the nicest parts of the house itself was the porch. On the front side of the house there were chairs to sit in so we could watch the sunset. There was also a gazebo with mesh to keep the bugs out. Also I believe there was a grill but we didn't use it.
The service was great. We had breakfast made for us every day. I loved the food made by the owner Brian's wife, Christiana I believe is her name (correct me if I'm wrong.) My personal favorite was the apple cake, which was basically an apple pie in cake form! Cereal and other food was provided, not the same thing every day. We were supplied with milk and water, among other drinks.
Location was beautiful and overlooked lake Huron and we saw some cruise ships and some awesome sunsets. Only a short bike ride away from the town with all the shops.
Bike rental is available at the inn but I cannot comment on the quality of the bikes since I brought my own.
All in all, an awesome place to stay and enjoy your time on Mackinac Island. Will be coming back this year.

5 stars across the board for Small Point B&B. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We came for our 5-year anniversary and had an amazing time.

It’s a 20-30 minute walk from the busier parts of the island (Main St, Market St, and The Grand Hotel). So it’s quiet and it feels secluded. The house is quaint and rich with history. The service is great - Brian is a wonderful host - and the breakfast is good too. They even offer bikes to rent for a fraction of the cost of other places on the island! It’s hard to beat what you get for the price - it’s an incredible value.

We’d recommend Small Point to anyone!

From Hello to Goodbye, Brian and Christina made our stay at Small Point Bed and Breakfast very special. We rented bikes right on-site and got a fabulous recommendation to try the fried pickles at one of our stops- so yummy! We enjoyed a delicious breakfast on the stunning porch overlooking Lake Huron and had a wonderful night of sleep in a comfy bed. We enjoyed hearing the story of the Bed and Breakfast from Brian too. The location was perfect-close to everything and yet a little secluded, providing a very relaxing stay. We hope to visit again soon!

A safe friendly port in the storm…. We didn’t stay at this B&B but instead stumbled across while on a bike ride around the island. We have been to Mackinac Island several times over the years and never rode bikes around it. This trip we brought them and enjoyed our leisurely ride. We stopped at arch rock to take pictures from the ground and heard rumbling clouds and it started to sprinkle. We hopped on our bikes to head back to shelter and hopefully miss the storm. We made it just past the water treatment house and it started to pour! We pulled over under a tree to get out of the rain when we heard someone holler at us. The owner waived us to come sit on the porch and gave us dry towels. He invited us to stay as long as we liked. He kindly popped out occasionally to give us updates on the weather but said stay as long as we would like. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and chatting with another couple. It was so charming! The rain and the amazing quiet water view. The location is amazing! The B&B is just around the corner from Mission point but it feels like you’re almost on a private island with a beautiful beach and water view. This bed and breakfast is unique the way it’s tucked off to the side of the island. I am truly grateful how well we were cared for without even being guests of the hotel. The secluded location and amazing personal care will definitely bring us back to stay here in the future. It’s truly a get away! Thank you again for the porch time and dry towels!

Small Point B&B was an excellent place to spend our anniversary! Away from Main Street, but right by Arch Rock. Clean and comfortable rooms, delicious and plentiful breakfast choices. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. There were several regulars there which I love! We are already figuring out our return trip!

Boyfriend and I decided that this year we would stay on the island and thoroughly enjoy ourselves without having to rush our experiences in one day before rushing to the docks like last year. I looked online for nice affordable B&Bs, lo and behold Small Point came up on the search. After looking at the pictures and reading the reviews, I decided to message and book for a night (which then turned to two because "why not" as the bf put it).
From the moment we messaged them, I was sold by their kindness via emails exchanged. We arrived to the island and I fell in LOVE with Small Point. The gothic Victorian house is BEAUTIFUL and I love Victorian homes. This home was by far the best I had seen.
We were given the Iris room that has a view (ish) of the lake and granted some of the trees in the front blocked the view but I did not care. We walked to town and got dinner then came back to rest and relax on the porch, listening to the waves and looking out at the black abyss.
The next morning an AMAZING breakfast was laid out which also included gluten free chocolate cherry scones for my boyfriend (we goofed and forgot to mention it until we had arrived). I was thoroughly impressed with this gesture of hospitality and was extremely grateful!
We went out for the day and came back to Brian and Christina having some of their personal guests over (did not bother us at all) and we were even invited to sit down with them and watch a movie at the end of the day.
I give this place 5/5 stars for their kind and gracious owners, the clean room we stayed as well as the clean bathroom we used, the delicious breakfast, the distance to town (enough to walk to yet enough to enjoy seclusion), and lastly the charm this house gives off! We loved our stay here and will definitely be coming back!

I have stayed at Small Point B & B each year since 2016. I travel frequently and always look forward to my annual fall trip to the Island. There are so many positives about Small Point that keep me coming back. First, the home is beautiful with a huge wrap around porch. On a clear day, you can watch the sunrise over Lake Huron. The price is very affordable. Bike rentals are much cheaper than you would fine elsewhere. The hosts are amazing. Christina and Brian make sure their guests feel welcomed and are a great resource for information about the Island. Small Point is just outside of busy downtown and feels secluded while only being a 20 minute walk to the ferry's. Love the breakfast with many fresh baked pastry's, fresh fruit and excellent coffee.
The rooms are average in size but very clean and comfortable. Book well in advance of your stay to ensure they're not sold out.
You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay at Small Point. I would give them 6 stars if possible!

A great place to stay on the island, Brian and Christina are very responsive to any questions you might have. Our was clean, so was the shared bath. It's very quiet and relaxing, plus they offer bike rentals per day for significantly less than hourly rentals in town.

I absolutely loved my time at this quiet B&B on Mackinac Island. Wonderful breakfast, and that lovely front porch is one of my favorite places on planet earth now. Breakfast was wonderful, staff was friendly and the view was magical.

Had a wonderful time staying here while visiting the island. We stayed in the lady slipper room very clean and had a great view of the water, also nice to watch the sun rise. Brian and Christina were very hospitable. Different baked goods/fruits for breakfast in the morning all fresh along with coffee. Great to sit out on the porch and eat before starting your day. Loved that this was far enough away from the main drag and close to the water. Very peaceful. Will be back someday.

Amazing place to stay! Rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable, hosts made the atmosphere so warm and friendly! They are so easy to talk to and knowledgeable. Breakfast was amazing as well! Just enough to get you going in the morning. This was our first experience staying at a bed and breakfast and we had such a good time. I will definitely be staying here again.

Owners were AMAZING. Best coffee I've had in a long time, food was delicious. They were extremely helpful in suggesting most efficient and cost-effective means of transportation, luggage porters, etc. Rooms were well kept and amenities were perfectly provided. Friendly and engaging conversation, as well. Highly recommend. Prices were very fair, as well. 3 minute walk to Mission Point Hotel. We stayed for a wedding at Mission Point and were not disappointed! Thanks for a great stay!!
