House of Grace Learning Center and Day Care

House of Grace Learning Center has been a blessing to my family and me, providing reliable daycare services. My children enjoy attending the center, and their positive attitude upon arrival and departure is a testament to the center's nurturing environment.

This good daycare all my kids went here they been around for years they work with your kids and family when needed also help out the community and many ways I would recommend them 10/10

I'm a first time mother. Also new to the rockford area and trying to get on my feet. I was referred to this daycare by a friend whom children already attended the center. During the process of trying to get my children into the center, Mrs. Brown spoke to me about the forms and steps to take as if I had enrolled children into daycare before. She never asked me if i had any questions or needed anything to be explained to me. She's ALWAYS on her cell phone, so you have to talk to her while she's having a second conversation, which i find to be very unprofessional. I understand COVID has probably changed how things are normally done but Mrs. Brown nor anyone else ever offered to show me what the facility my children would be spending their day in looked like. What the play area they would play in looked like. I personally feel like my w2 month old sat in his car seat majority of the day. I asked to be given a document every day of what times and oz. my 2 month old ate...never received it once, out of 9 days. My two month old would come back home with bottles in his baby bag that would be filled with 6/7 oz of formula. What 2 month old is drinking 6/7 oz bottles. The formula would then be wasted as i wouldn't know how long it had been in the bottle and I'm pretty sure they also cut a hole in one of the bottle nipples. No one ever told me how my babies did for the day unless they were crying and then "they ready to go" would be the statements i would receive. After about 9 days of my babies going to the center, one day when my husband went to drop them off he was meet at the door by Mrs.Brown advising that my children could no longer attend as we had been denied for daycare assistance. No options or offers for us to pay so the kids could still attend. Nothing , just a you were denied. The place always felt like a bad place but i needed help. There are many other things i could complain about but i wont. im blessed that my children are currently okay but i wont be taking them back here.

I want to know why my review from 3 years ago was removed. These people shook my son at 3 months old and he is now disabled and ventilator dependent. They mistreat the older children. And the lady who runs it seems to believe since the daycare is attached to a church that they do not have to follow the YWCA guidelines or DCFS Illinois laws when it comes to caring for children. Do not send your kids here.

This a terrible center. Child was refused care due to a runny nose. What logical adult would actually consider a child sick and not eligible for care due to a runny nose. She didn’t have a fever or cough any symptoms that would be a reason for her to not be able to go to the center. They are lazy and don’t want to work and want to get paid from the state. This place needs to be shut down.
