The Jubilee Homestead

I reserved a camping spot with hipcamp for a fun birthday weekend. If you're into a quiet spot with fun farm animals and a chill atmosphere this is the place for you. They greeted us And give us a nice tour. There's plenty to keep someone occupied over the weekend. We played horseshoes, stargazed, roasted marshmallows over the bonfire, had a movie party in the barn loft, played broom ball, did the quarter mile hike, fed that goats, got eggs from the chickens, and had the best outhouse experience ever (you have to see the pictures to believe it). I did take some photos around the property to really get a good idea of what the place looks like. They even have a little shop where you can homemade items like soaps or elderberry juice. Late afternoon on Sunday they checked in just to see how everything was going which is really nice. Overall great people, beautiful property, and lots of potential for the future.

Only criticisms I'd say are don't expect fishing unless you like to do it in a small in-ground tank. Although it might be fun for younger kids our kids weren't really interested. The small hiking trail could be better maintained as it's not entirely accessible someone wasn't able to bend and dodge and weave. Also there could be some potential hazards around as any farmstead has so keep an eye on younger kids is a good idea. Finally, no alcohol on the property which can be a bummer if you want to have a drink around the fire.

Nicest people, so helpful and kind. They have a lovely homestead and it was so fun to stay there and enjoy all they offer from the goats, the walking trail, chickens, sweetest friendly cat, barn loft area to watched movies or play broom ball. Esther and Joel thank you for making sure we were safe and comfortable!

we camped here for 2 nights with friends and we had a blast! they have an onsite "outhouse" thats nicer, and cleaner, than most gas station bathrooms. lots of garbage cans around a fire rings. they gave us free fire wood and let us plug our campers into their barn. they have goat pens and they are friendly, as well as some chickens walking around. The real star of the show is Odin, a grey barn cat with nerves of steel. he was very friendly and a fun little camp friend. they have a barn loft with a projector and lights that was an awesome movie theatre when it was raining. this place is great for kids. couples, anyone really! the hosts qre super nice too.

The best people and nabiors that we could have they have kids our age they are fun to play with and their game nights are the best

I get elderberries from here the last couple years and I love this place! The family is so friendly and easy to work with
