Willy Ray was super nice! I ordered brisket but they were already out for the day and the chicken is dark meat which I'm not a fan of. I'm not a fan of pork so I did the ribs which were very good. The potato salad was good. I'm not a huge fan of beans but I tried them, they were good for beans. My husband had a pulled pork sandwich which he said was very good. Very well presented.

I drove from Iowa City to get here and it was worth the drove. Best ribs in Cedar Rapids! The potato salad and baked beans is like the stuff you get at a family cookout that grandma made! Portions size was great food was delicious. Family enjoyed it! We will be back!

Went there today with my mom. They are friendly and efficient. You drive-up and place your order and pay and if there is someone behind you then you drive around to the other side to get your order. I had the rib tips combo and was not disappointed. The food was so good, I would definitely go again.

Just tried the new restaurant for lunch today for the first time. Ribs were excellent, and staff was very friendly. Great service!

Being from the south, I am a big bbq lover, and when I heard about Willie Ray’s Q Shack, I had to try it. I was pleasantly surprised that he is from Louisiana, just as I am. Anyway, I usually don’t care for anyone else’s baked beans or potato salad because I have my own recipe for baked beans. But I truly enjoyed the beans and the potato salad from here and the ribs were smoked to perfection. Kudos!!

The ribs were so tender and juicy that they fell right off the bone . The baked beans had a hint jalapeños but weren't overwhelmed by them. The rib tips were divine. Everything was delicious! Well worth the stop. The staff were kind and courteous.

Ribs are so good. I don't find ribs I love very often, but these are perfect. I love the smoky flavor and texture. Great customer service to.

I've gone several times, ribs and sides both times. Roughly $12 a person and $23 for 6 rib bones if I remember correctly. And the sauce is great too. The service is very friendly. Not sure who the older lady is but she reminds me of my grandma. Get there early because everything sell fast!!! Still trying to catch the day for brisket. It may be a small area but the service and the food pack a punch!

I'd heard about Willie's humanitarian outreach so I had to try his food. I got there about 4:45pm, right as they were closing, and ordered a brisket sandwich. The cashier rang me up for $10.50 card payment then Willie said something to him, then the cashier told me I'm getting a closing time deal, and he handed me a $10 bill and told me to enjoy the sandwich. It was delicious. 10/10 experience, Willie has earned a customer for life.

Willie Ray catered our company Christmas luncheon, and it was fabulous! We ordered the brisket, pulled pork, and ribs plus sides. Everyone absolutely loved the taste and quality of everything he prepared. We will definitely be ordering from Willie Ray's in the future!

Not only do I absolutely love the ribs at Willie rays, but what I know about him as a person makes me feel good about spending money there. This dude gives and gives to communities both local and non local helping to feed people in need. If there's a disaster he is there. Traveling with costs out of his own pocket to help feed hungry people that have been through so much. AND.... I've never eaten a bad meal from here. Keep on Willie Ray. Your service has been felt in communities through Texas, Kentucky, and here at home in Iowa. We appreciate you!

Update! Had brisket last Friday there. Might be my new favorite!

This is THE BEST place in Eastern Iowa to get BBQ!!! Exceptional service from the owner (you can tell how awesome this crew is when the OWNER takes your order!!). We had rib tips, ribs, and a full pulled pork sandwich for our order. Really nice smoke ring on all the meats and excellent flavor. The BBQ sauce complements the smoke flavor and dry rub really well. The baked beans and potato salad are unique, flavorful, and the perfect addition to any of the meats. Recommending this to EVERYONE. On top of all of this, the owner supported the local community after the 2020 derecho and drove all the way down to Texas after their snowstorm. THIS PLACE IS THE REAL DEAL, PEOPLE.

Great little BBQ place with very good ribs and delicious sides. Come early because when something is sold out it is gone for a few hours at least. Carry out only. We'll be back for more soon!

This is thee best BBQ in Cedar Rapids. I've tried 3 others and NO they can't compare. The meats are all tender!!! The staff are very cordial and pleasant. I ordered a brisket combo annnnd a rib tip combo. 😘❤😘😁 It was delicious!!! I am a Chef by trade. But this BBQ tastes like my Southern family is on the grill. Everybody should visit once twice thrice or more!!! I will be back.... Today was my 3rd trip. Al is great at customer service hi AL!!

BEST BBQ IN ALL OF IOWA!! I went there this afternoon for the first time, and they were already sold out of everything except for the smoked chicken. They gave me the chicken for free to accommodate me for the trouble (major winning play in my opinion), and I have to say it was THE BEST CHICKEN I HAVE EVER HAD! Not even joking. Perfectly smoky. Perfectly tender. Perfectly seasoned. In short, it was absolutely perfect. I will definitely be returning soon. The team behind the food is top notch. They are so friendly and kind and joyous and spirit-lifting. Could not find a better team for this job. Period. Team, if you’re reading this, you need to enter BBQ cook-off competitions ASAP. You make me proud to be an American.

I truly appreciate what Willie Ray's Q Shack did for Texas in our time of need. From being in Dallas to Houston. The food that I got was delicious I only took one plate for myself (they offered more) & I should've taken up on the offer because my son devoured it. If I ever am in town I'll definitely stop by. Thanks again Willie Ray's!
