Grayson runs a great store here. I bought a Captain America replica shield from him last summer, and after almost a year, the shield is still in great condition. I’ve used it to go to con events, but also kept it as a display piece in my room. Truly awesome craftsmanship, if you’re trying to go for movie-like authenticity. Even down to the leather straps. If you’re thinking about purchasing an item from Comic Sandwiches, I’d say definitely go for it! It’s been a great experience and communication with the store has never been a problem.

This shield is real metal, which is great for durability and it impresses everyone that touches it. I had a plastic shield before but it just made me feel like a toy action figure rather than a super soldier.

I was really impressed with the color of the shield. And also the straps are great quality too.

First of all, I want to apologize for taking so long to write a review. Now to the good stuff. I got in touch with these guys to make a custom shield for me, but wasn't sure of the design. They really know their stuff and what works best. As you can see by these pictures, it is better than I could ever imagine. The quality and craftmanship is impeccable. The communication was better than expected. Whenever I had a question, they were quick to respond. I was always kept up to date on the progress and sent a picture before shipping. Ordered the broken Cap Shield and it was worth every penny! The CS staff are always each to get a hold of and provided timely updates with pictures showing me how things were going and addressing my questions and concerns as things moved along. I've gotten nothing but compliments when I cosplay and will be ordering more shields (and shield stands) from them in the future.

I have several shields and was happy to add two from Comic Sandwiches to my collection! Their Secret Empire from Captain America Steve Rogers is amazing, crisp lines, great colors, good heft and straps are leather and sturdy. I also had one made custom, which they were super helpful with designing, communicating, and delivering. Look forward to working with them again!

I ordered a WWII version of the Captain America shield. They offered a battle damaged version (most popular) and a "clean" version, which is what I ordered. The shop owner was kind enough to message me to confirm my selection since nearly everyone else chooses battle damaged. That was thoughtful!
When it arrived, I was so happy! The quality was excellent and the paint was perfect! The leather straps on the back are secure and comfortable. 100% pleased with my purchase!

This weekend I received my first purchase from Comic Sandwiches: Captain America Stealth Shield: Winter Soldier, with back grooves. It’s absolutely gorgeous and I love it. The colors and weight are perfect. The beautiful weathering is subtle. The leather straps are of a remarkable quality: soft and strong. This is a high-end product that is worth every penny. In fact, I wish I had pulled the trigger and purchased it sooner, because the realism of how it looks and feels is amazing. It’s a work of art.

They make some great products! I ordered the Captain America WWII Heater Shield and loved it. Unfortunately I had to replace it after it was lost in a fire, but the new shield was exact to the detail like the previous one. Great quality control!
