Dr. William J. Shergy, MD

I have always had positive experiences with Dr. Shergy. He is knowledgeable, personable and friendly. He puts me at ease when discussing serious issues, and encourages second opinions if it helps to allay patient fears. I appreciate his honesty and trust his opinion.

I have been under Dr. Shergy's care for many years, and now my husband is also. We both know that when we have an appointment with Dr. Shergy, we had better be on time. He is very considerate of his patient's time and is almost always very prompt. He has a great staff and we both appreciate his level of care.

I love the new location and the building is so nice. Deborah is the best nurse ever. I’ve been Dr Shergy’s patient for almost 30 years. I trust this practice and my doctor.

Dr. Shergy has been my doctor for 20 years plus. I was on disability for 9 1/2 years before I met this man..I was miserable with the doctor I had before him in Birmingham. I looked him up he had been my brother's MD for juvenile arthritis before he got better..my mom suggested I look him up and try him over the last MD I had. I looked him up went to him and he told me we'll you need to get off disability if possible told me he would put me on a pill that was fairly new and be active or I would be in a wheelchair before I was 40!! I took his advice got on medication got 💯 better and went back to school came off disability and have been a RN now for 15 years and works two jobs now!! This MD saved my life! I would recommend him to anybody!!

Dr Shergy and his staff are very friendly and efficient. He has treated my osteoporosis effectively and always makes sure to follow insurance protocol. I love how efficient they are in scheduling and I never have to wait more than a few minutes before being called back.

Staff and nurses are always professional, thorough and friendly as is Dr Shergy. Always greatly appreciate the care received and love the new medical facilities too!

I go every 6 months for a check up and bloodwork. Everyone is very nice and helpful

I went to Dr.William J. Shergy, MD April 2020 barely walking and was diagnosed with Polymyositis . He and his Staff took great care of my severe health. Now, in February 2024 I am in complete Remission! Dr. Shergy is a Brilliant and Devoted Doctor who cares about his patients. I am so sincerely Grateful.

Dr. Shergy actually listens to my concerns and tries his best to get to the root of the problem. He discusses my labs/tests results in plain English rather than in medical jargon and makes it easy to understand. Dr. Shergy normally has a plan of action for a better outcome to the patient.
