Rachel and her team have made the design process for our new office so easy! She has impeccable taste and is eager to deliver a design that works within our budget and our personal style. I have loved every minute working with them and would highly recommend them for any design project.

I especially enjoyed all the time Rachel sets aside to personally go with you as you pick out all the fixtures for your home. Her business mindset keeps your choices within your budget while her artistic mindset helps you see how everything will come together or unique things to try in your home. She is also very flexible and patient while you find exactly the perfect piece. Rachel and her team get as excited about your house as you are. It wasn’t unusual at all to wake up in the morning and see a middle of the night text or email with an idea of something you could do in the house.

Building with Rachel Brown Homes was such a fun experience. My husband and I were first time homebuyers so we were a little hesitant on whether we should build our first home but I don’t think we could’ve had a better experience. Rachel and her team made the whole process as stress-free as possible. Even after you move into your house, Rachel and Josie check in to make sure that everything is going well. I am so glad for the friendships we made during this building process and we are so excited to be a part of the Rachel Brown Homes family.

Our experience building our “forever” home with Rachel Brown Homes was a rewarding experience. Rachel and her team were involved in every aspect of our build and helped make the process fun. People have said to me “I bet picking out all the stuff for your house was a lot of work”. This could not be further from the experience we had with Rachel and her team. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the build, including the design phase where Rachel supports you in your most interesting and creative ideas (can anyone say fish tank in the wall, decorative wall additions and Koi pond!). Rachel stepped in from the beginning to help us find our perfect lot in the area we wanted to build. She walked us through how the construction process would work including the financing aspect of the build. Rachel stays in contact with her clients and provides much needed updates and information along the way. Over the course of our build, Rachel treated us like family and really made the experience enjoyable. Deciding to build a custom home is a big decision and having Rachel beside us for the journey was truly a rewarding experience. Lastly, I recently had an opportunity to represent some clients on the purchase of a pre-owned Rachel Brown home . The home was a few years old and something happened that has never happened in my 16 year career which was a near perfect home inspection. The only item on the list was a loose toilet on a 4500 sq.ft home which is incredible. To me that is a testament to the high level of skill and care Rachel Brown Homes operates with on a daily basis.

We recently finished a 6 week process of designing our custom home plan with Rachel. Though we currently live in Huntsville, we will be moving to the Midwest in the coming months and wanted to design our future home with a local designer.

Overall, the experience was great. We had a total of 6 meetings, each one with a very distinct focus. Rachel would iteratively send plans between meetings for us to review, mark up, etc. We were able to send her images and ideas from the internet, Instagram, etc. so she could see what we wanted.

She definitely helped us clarify our vision and I would recommend the process to anyone.

Rachel Brown is not only a phenomenal builder, but also a wonderful person. She puts her heart and soul, and years of experience into each and every build. She and Nate treat each home as though it were their own, and truly consider each new homeowner’s unique needs, and how each home will serve the family for years to come. Rachel has an unmatched eye for detail, and her team is top notch. I can’t say enough about RBH, the product, or the entire team. As a Realtor, I want what is best for my clients, and every build that I’ve closed with RBH has surpassed expectations for both myself, and my buyers. I haven't been able to work with Rachel Brown homes myself yet, but we are able to do some work along side of Rachel and her team. They are a joy to work with and the homes they build are absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend considering working with these ladies if you are looking to build a custom home!

We are still in the early stages of planning and bidding but so far Rachel is hitting it out the park. We feel Rachel really sees our vision of our dream house and it is her priority to make it happen and within budget. Rachel's willingness to work with us in different areas has been a big plus for us also. I will be following up with more reviews as we move through the whole process.

Rachel Brown is awesome!!

This review is based on my experience after contacting RB Homes and not the actual work. After speaking to the receptionist at RB Homes, my impression was an overwhelming sense of arrogance and condescension.

After relocating to the area, my spouse and I purchased a residential lot and plan to build a custom home this year. We will need assistance designing the home plan as well as decorating it. Our construction budget is commensurate or exceeds the typical price of a RB home.

When I contacted RB Homes, I was promptly greeted with unwarranted arrogance. After explaining our needs and desire for a consultation, I was bombarded with questions as if I were being interviewed. RB Homes would not take a meeting with us due to not being pre-approved for a construction loan. I politely explained we do not plan to finance the home as we are retired and can provide proof of funds which far exceed the cost of the home. Additionally, I explained we need a plan and a bank will not pre-approve a construction loan without a plan. The receptionist continued with her arrogant attitude and I believe she did not comprehend my response as she was fixated on a conditional pre-approval letter.

We’ve built multiple homes over the years. Our experience has taught us construction is stressful. A good working relationship with the builder is valuable and is comprised of trust as well as respect that flows in both directions. In my opinion, the conversation with the receptionist was a red flag.

Edit: Also, without success, I made a second attempt to contact someone other than the receptionist at RB Homes. I believe in extending patience as well as understanding and thought perhaps the receptionist is inexperienced. Again, not having a pre-approval letter prevented the consultation even though the build will not be financed. My request to speak to someone other than the rececptionist was denied. In my opinion, proof of funds would be sufficient. This has been peculiar experience.
