Susan's General Store

I've been a regular of Susan's General Store since '95 (when I first moved to Hammond). I've never lived more than a few blocks away, and visiting the store is always a blast.

I shop here for collectables and classic brass and glass pipe gear, and I come here for hand made craft products for gifts. Heck, I think my wedding ring came from Susan's, hah!

Susan and her staff are simply the best people... it's very easy to lose yourself in conversation when you're here!

Calm, quiet, leisurely shopping visit. The young woman on staff offered me a free coffee with cream and sugar 🥰. News to me, they sell coffee beans and grind them up for you. The coffee was good btw lol. Clean shop. Whimsical feel. Garden accessories, garden flags, occult items, incense, soap, lavatory mist, scented candles, jewelry, crystals, and gemstones. Also an adult novelty section. A true general store. Will return. The cashier rings you up with a ticket book not on a computer. They accept cards.

Susan's was a pleasant surprise. The host was super friendly and helpful and I loved the area the store is located in. Has that old downtown marketplace atmosphere and the store's wares are quite nice. Sort of a boutique and souvenir shop with other essentials too.

Susan's has the most unique and fun gifts. They have incence, jewelry, psychedelic posters, candles, soaps, spiritual books, adult items, etc. Definitely a great shop to find gifts for the hippy in your life. ☺

This place is a safe-haven full of fun toys and objects ranging from tobacco pipes to natural soaps. In love with this place and the people are so sweet and welcoming. Highly recommend this place (: They even wrap gifts!! It is the best. Keep up the fun, peaceful, friendly environment!!

Susan’s is a wonderful throwback shop of the 60’s and 70’s! She’s has a large and an eclectic assortment of items, gizmos and trinkets! One can hang out and poke around for hours in this general store!

Wonderful store to find gifts and cool stuff for yourself. There's even a section for gag gifts and bachelorette/bachelor party gifts. The staff is always nice and helpful and the items offered for sale change often. There is a section even for sage, incense and the like. It's a must visit once a week store.

Greatest small town small gift shop in area. Hasnt changed much at all in the 30 years Ive lived here. Gag gifts, t shirts, posters, oils & incense, jewery, soaps, smoking supplies, and much much more. Stop in check them out support local

Cool little shop, with a wide variety of items. Lots of "spiritual" type things for everyone. From Christian to Wiccan. The clerks are very friendly and knowledgeable also. Love it!

Full of treasures in there! Unique affordable gifts and bachelorette things. I've gotten some pretty awesome tshirts, incense, funny cards, jewelry and coffee. Good vibe there.
