First time here our service was amazing and the salsa was perfectly seasoned. The food was delicious. I ordered off the lunch menu and the hubby got off the main menu. He got the burrito not a fan of the black beans. I got the triple platter something new for me to try. It was good. Not a bad price.

Fresh, fast food. Friendly service. Fun atmosphere. Music was too loud though. I love music. But, it doesn't need to be so loud that I can't hear or speak to the person right next to me.

Food was hot and fresh . Didn’t take long to come back out. Staff was friendly and attentive.

So I live in NOLA and came out here to watch my sons college rugby game and brought my pup! This place welcomed my furry friend and fixed him a water bowl and a bowl of chicken! I got the seafood shrimp tacos and the ceviche! And I have to say this was the best ceviche I have ever had!

The food and service is always great here! I come at least once a month. The salsa is phenomenal and their tacos and chimichangas are delicious!

Updated Review- The host was very polite and helpful. The restaurant was busy but he still managed to seat us quickly. Drinks had a normal wait time. No appetizers this trip. The time duration for getting our food was fine for being busy. Our meals were GREAT! Meals were hot and delicious. The restaurant atmosphere is fun and prices are as expected. Our waiter Ruby (Rubio) was really great, very attentive and friendly. Definitely an enjoyable experience. Will be coming back!

So glad we chose this restaurant for tonight’s meal. The food was so yummy, hubby had build your burrito with shredded beef, I had the Dos tacos, one chicken and one pork. We topped off the meal with a deep fried icecream. This place as amazing service and it’s atmosphere is perfect. Tonight there was a Duo playing music, one on The guitar and one singing. Good music ❤ Thanks LaCarreta we will be back.

Food is always excellent. Service is wonderful. First choice of Mexican food in the area.

All in all a good experience. First time I've been since the remodel and it looks real nice. One annoying aspect is branded decals over every single TV... once you notice them... it's impossible to unsee it. I stopped in for lunch and ordered a steak chimichanga... I got steak corn tacos. Due to time constraints, I kept it, but definitely would have preferred a chimichanga! I would say... maybe next time, but I'll probably try another spot first before rolling the dice here again... who knows what you'll get! 😆

Was here last night with family, we were driving to Texas from North Carolina and we stopped here to eat something, was honestly very impressed, I had the carnitas and it tasted fresh and delicious. The server was also very kind and attentive wish I had gotten her name. Will definitely come again in the future if I plan another road trip.

That food came out almost as fast as chips and salsa! Wow! Delicious food and a delightful atmosphere, a great place to take a date.
The chimmis are thick and rich and I highly recommend the virgin daiquiri.

Fast friendly service, food was hot fresh made to order and well presented, with great drinks, new renovation very nice better flow for kitchen but very load dining room

I love La Carreta Hammond! My absolute favorite place to go for any occasion. It’s great for a lunch spot or dinner with my friends. My #1 choice every time. The delicious food is always an added bonus.

When the weather is right, sitting outside here is a real treat. It can get a little loud if the train passes by, but the overall atmosphere is very relaxed. They even had a live singer who invited anyone to join him on stage for a song or two. The frozen margaritas were great and you can get a huge 16.5oz if you’re feeling parched. Food was great and service was perfect. Overall a great time.

We had an absolutely fantastic time!! Such a fun atmosphere! First time here,,we decided to eat here for our daughters (17th) birthday dinner,,and so glad we did!! Loved it ! Food was awesome!!

This place just looks great walking up from the parking lot. Then we were greeted with such a warm welcome. Once seated the mixed drinks were awesome. I ate some of the best cheese enchiladas I've ever eaten. My wife and son raved about their tacos for at least a week. They served outstanding chips and salsa. They offered comfortable seating in a very lively atmosphere. I grew up on Mexican food being originally from west Texas and this place was great. We were pretty blown away with our visit.

Midday lunch was amazing, quick, and friendly service. Will go back.

I had an hour to wait for my train, so I walked here for a margarita and chips before boarding. Very cold and refreshing, much better than sitting in the train station waiting 🙂 Servers very friendly, drink was excellent.
