delicious food from the Cocina as always. Tonight I got the al pastor burrito which was so good and full of flavor. The caldo de res is another favorite!

I had to edit my review. And to clarify, every time I go to Indio and I need to go shopping at Cardenas. I had to say it.
The place where you can find everything. Even fresh tortillas and flan are delicious.

I was shopping for someone else today and the steaks on their list weren't available, the meat department manager himself went to the back and got a side of beef and cut & trimmed 3 fabulous steaks for me.
He went above and beyond so that I could cross all the items off that shopping list.

The store was clean and it was easy to find what I needed. Prices were a bit high, I felt. The lady who checked us out was a little standoffish but that could have been due to language barriers. If I'm ever in that area again it's likely I'd go back.

I am very surprised with the improvements to the store to shop faster, easy self checkout recently implemented.I come here for the quality of the vegetables and meats.

Absolutely loved this place. They have amazing prices and such friendly people. Their fresh corn tortillas are the best I've ever had. They make a lot of things from scratch, which have been delicious. We will always look for their markets when traveling.

I love it here. I'm just on holidays with my family but I've met so many nice people just standing in line waiting for food and the food is so good. Lots of new stuff for me to try and it's delicious and if I don't know what I'm looking at someone always goes out of their way to help me and they don't even work there! I mostly go to the fast food line because the tacos and burritos are awesome and I can't stop eating them but the people who work there are really nice and helpful even though I don't know what I'm ordering half the time which is probably annoying for them lol I wish this store existed where I'm from

One of.my favorite places to go to everything I vacation here in the area. Great selection of fresh fruit and veggies and also the bread is so good and it's just a wonderful.palce to see some things my grana had for us as kids. Great store and great prices and great to just go grab food.

I love this place! We went to the one in Cathedral City in August. The produce is fresh and so are the ready made meals. The staff is very professional and courteous, we wanted to buy tortillas and corn chips but in smaller portions, and they quickly offered to bag us any quantity we needed. The prices are very good, even with the Canadian exchange rate.

It's a very great place, very beautiful in the inside. I love how everything is very organized and, there's many fruits and vegetables. Some meats are already packed instead of waiting for you're order. Reminds me of a place I went to before. But still it's very awesome. Lots of Love ~ Isabel 😗

Cardenas is a must-go! Store layout is gorgeous, an entire section of the store is devoted to homemade recipes. There's even a fresh fruit smoothie or other yummy drinks section. The meat and fish are oh so pretty and fresh, the quality, quantity and variety can't be found anywhere else- many meats are already marinating for you! But the real reason to visit, as if that wasn't enough (!) is the PRODUCE!!! So fresh, so nice, everything you can dream of, and the atmosphere is charming with fruit trees surrounding you. I love this place!

As most of us Indio residence know, Cardenas Markets is one of the most well established and local treasure of the desert for some of the most fresh authentic Mexican food in the city...and taco Tuesdays simply can't be beat! Today I had carnitas, carne asada, and pollo street tacos on two warm tortillas, diced onions, and cilantro...topped with little mild salsa verde! I can't even tell you which one I like the best as they are all equally amazing!

I've in the past also had their Pozole (which they make special on the weekends), tortas, Caldo de Res, Caldo de Pollo and many other dishes they serve in their kitchen. All authentic. All Fresh...and all delicious!

The staff is always pleasant, very friendly, and everyone seems to be very proud of the food they serve. Cashiers are also always very pleasant and the entire store has a very friendly shopping environment. Prices are competitive and comparable to most types of similar markets, with the occasional special that is cheaper than most other places.

The store is almost always immaculately clean, and I've seldom ever seen it not be well stocked, organized and spotless. This is a store that takes pride in their store and it shows.

I love this place and I always find interesting new fruits and vegetables. Today I got a fresh tongue as well. It is a great place for lunch too. Sitting under the lemon tree with a pastor burrito and a freshly squeezes mango juice can't be beat.

Beautiful store. Very helpful employees. It's huge and everything looked fresh and well displayed. It caters to the Hispanic population which made the shopping experience wonderful for us gringos that love Mexican food.
