Dog Walking Island

Probably the best off-leash dog park ever. We bring our large breed girl there multiple times a week.

The paths are well marked so even when there is snowfall, you can stay on the trail. It’s wonderfully shady in the summer, and absolutely scenic in the fall and winter.

Spring to fall when the washrooms are open, they are clean and well maintained and I appreciate that there is a hose with water for the dogs during the warmer months.

If you have a small dog who is accustomed to a separate small dog area this may not be the park for you as there is no dedicated small dog section.

If you decide to make use of the picnic tables on the island, I would expect to share some of your food with the dogs as they will more than likely come to investigate the delicious smells.

While there once was some playground equipment, it does not seem to be there any longer and the last remaining swing hasn’t been up since the fall of 2023. If the dogs aren’t the attraction there’s not really much for children to do. And it should be noted not all dogs are good with children so it’s always advisable to ask before petting.

Amazing island dedicated just for dogs. Tater absolutely loves being off leash here! Very well kept and we will definitely be coming back if we are in the area.

Brought my dog who’s never been off leash in a park like this and was very worried about her bullying little dogs or getting hurt by big ones but it was amazing the dogs were all very nice and Stella loved it recommend trying it

Absolutely love this park. It’s great for dogs and humans (plenty of seating & a book exchange). I also appreciate that all the dog owners are attentive of their dogs and actually follow the rules of NO AGGRESSIVE DOGS ALLOWED. Be prepared for lots of clean up with the water/mud but I love the “wild” feel my golden gets to have here versus a typical dog park with maybe two trees

It's is enjoyable for dogs and humans alike. There is paved paths for you to walk on if you don't want to walk on the grass .

Wow this dog park is incredible! Being an island is so unique and also puts my mind at ease that my dog won't escape! Not only do the dogs love this island, it's got a ton of amenities for humans too. Such as bathrooms, covered picnic areas, playgrounds, benches, garbage cans, and overall just lovely scenery.

I'm just visiting WNY but will be making a donation to the organization that maintains this beautiful place!

Awesome and well kept. Lots of places to roam and sit and for the dogs to have fun. Would love it if they possibly had a watering station for fresh water. But the creek is right here.

Best dog park! Very friendly dogs! Owners with common sense. People need to remember there is no smoking permitted. But if you have to do it, don't do it at the picnic table near the gate.

This is the best dog park I have ever been too and I traveled across country with my dog. Fun for dogs, surrounded by water it's scenic and fun for dogs who enjoy water. Fully tree covered it stays a nice temperature. Huge walking loop so everyone has space and exercise. Saw a slide for kids. A gazebo for picnic but could invite furry friends. A 2ash and water station at the entrance/exit to clean mud and slobber. Everyone was super nice and friendly, both 2 and 4 legged.

Great dog park! Lots of space to spread out from the crowd if you wanted. But a great place for the dogs to run and explore. A few swimming spots as well. Dog water fountain and bathrooms available (although the restrooms are under construction right now) Everyone I have met there has been so nice, and haven't run into any overly aggressive dogs.

Huge and beautiful! Great for taking your dog in the summer time. The only problem is that it gets muddy starting mid fall and in the winter

The best place for off leash dog pla in buffalo. Knox farm is another favorite but the farm does not have trees like this place does to keep the dogs cool on hot summer days. Amazing!

Amazing dog park if your in the North Tonawanda or Tonawanda area.
So close to home.
We love it there and have already completed our 5th trip.
Beach for the dogs, super spacious and gated in community.
Our dog loves it there and always makes new friends.
Highly recommend for a quick trip, won’t regret it.

A big park with lots of running space and shade for your pups, lots if access to water for dog swimming as well. Best of all: a rinsing station at the exit/entrance gate so you dont have to put a muddy pup back in your car.

The most successfully designed and operated dog park I have ever been to. Clean, everyone is friendly, massive walking path and it’s an island so you don’t hAve to worry about your dog going too far. Kid friendly and very fun!

We love the dog park! It’s a great place to let the dogs off the leash to play and run with their friends. There are beautiful old trees, a library cubby, plenty of benches, a nearby coffee shop, friendly people...what more can you ask for?

Stroll along the wide gravel path or walk on the mowed grass, you will feel a nice nature park atmosphere. And surrounded by water, a dog's dream. People a friendly there too!

This was out first time here and we all including our dog absolutely loved!! The dog park is wide open. It has sunny and shady places. As well as entrances into the creek for dog and people to swim.
