Cool little place that has been in service for over 40 years. We shared a large sub and it was almost too much still. Great fresh ingredients and the staff was super friendly. Stop in and get a sub if you are in the area, you won’t regret it!

Pricey BUT WORTH IT!!!
I had the Italian, and ITALIANO IT WAS!! Excellent Roll fresh, firm, chewy. Ingredients are to another level and NOT boars ham, way better, I had all the fix’ins except lettuce.

You get what cha pay for - IT’S WORTH EVERY DOLLAR! Excellent HERO.

Place has a cute cafe vibe, clean and in order.

I drove up here to spend the day with my mom. I was looking for a sandwich to take to the lake and I read the reviews and decided to come here.

The woman working was so sweet and helpful...I really liked her.

My mom and I shared a footlong pastrami on Dutch crunch bread.

I wish they toasted the bread...thats how I like my sandwich...but its ok.
It was one of the best sandwiches I have eaten.

The bread was so good...they give you a lot of meat and toppings...I could not believe the sandwich was that big for only 8.50.

When you walk into Yellow Sub you aren’t just walking into a sandwich shop, you’re walking into an experience. If you want to support a small business, which would actually be cool of you since tahoe has morphed into a genterrific silicon-summerhome hellscape, this is one of the places you should hit up.
Immediately upon entering the warp zone here and finding yourself in the doors of yellow sub, you’re greeted by chill employees.
These guys are the greatest, as a sufferer of stage four picky eating, the employees are never judgmental when I ask for my usual sorry excuse for a sandwich, even though it’s sometimes a crime on sandwich building. Salem, one of the employees drew an excalibur (character) on my sandwich wrap because they know I like soul eater. (pictured below) That’s how you know these sandwiches are made with love.
It goes without saying the sandwiches are honestly just good as hell. Every time I get something different I’m never disappointed. Unlike port of sub where I can’t even get a brownie without keeling over from subway levels of ‘freshness.’ I mean I don’t even like sandwiches that much tbh but I got put onto this place and the people need to hear this.
There’s also just a lot of drink options which I dig. They straight up have more yerba matte flavors than the raleys does which really just says more about the raleys but I digress.
Overall fun atmosphere with employees that are chill as hell. I ❤ YELLOW SUB.

My family and I were visiting North Lake Tahoe for the New Year’s Holiday, and planned to take a day off skiing so that we could do a full “Lake Loop” around the entirety of the beautiful Lake Tahoe. Before we set out, I hunted for top-rated sandwiches shops on the South Lake Tahoe side, as the timing would be perfect for lunch.

I ID’d Yellow Submarine as our destination, and without a doubt - it fully delivered! I had the Yellow Sub signture sandwich, add “Hots” - a slightly sweet and slightly spicy condiment. AMAZING. My wife had the Turkey Avocado and it was to die for. My son had a custom roast beef and cheese and was in heaven. The best part was that since the sandwiches were so big and plentiful, we each had a small portion to take with us To-Go, which we promptly consumed at our next stop along the Lake Loop journey.

Best sub shop I’ve ever been, the people are amazing, the atmosphere is always amazing, I can’t say enough about this place. You get what you paid for and it’s well worth its price. Forget the Port of Sub across the street.

This place rocks! Amazing sandwiches, I got the ham and mortadella (fancy bologne) and it was delicious. This place is a perfect stop for summer. The sandwiches are made with tons of love, soft bread, amazing cheese and fresh produce. Been here a few times, no issues ever, just an incredible atmosphere and lots of laughs! Try it out! Trust me!

Discovered this place by mistake, and so happy I did!!! I have been 4 times in less than a week. The sandwiches are quality and I love the service. Best sandwiches I have had in a long time. The pastrami is fabulous. Love love love ❤

A family run business that will exceed your expectations for the level of flavour, freshness and the crunch of the bread. Its the best sub we’ve had! It’s gets busy during lunch, but they are quick!

Just as good as they were the 1st time my mom took me when i was 4 years old. Camilla made me a perfect meatball sub to take back to my mom, who is now 73. She also maintained incredible composure in spite of being reprimanded by the shift leader in front of a huge line of people. Incredibly impressed by her professional demeanor in the face of being chastised publicly. While, as a kitchen manager, i understand that kitchen procedures and processes are of the utmost importance, as a leader I would suggest seeing things such as unintentional cross-contamination as an especially important teaching moment, as opposed to being rude to an obviously dedicated member of your team.

Service is great food is exceptional coming from a food critic the only down side is the price it’s not pocket friendly but if a half sandwich will fill you up the splitting the tab with a friend is a good idea $19 for whole sandwich is a bit steep but this is a tourist town and also inflation has grabbed us all by the throat its just in my opinion expensive for a local but man is it good there are only two good places to get a great sandwich in Tahoe and this is number 1

Best sandwich shop in Tahoe hands down. I come here all the time and am always satisfied. You can order on delivery apps too which has been great during snow storms. If the Donner party had made it to Yellow Sub - they would have all survived.

My partner and I were looking for a place to eat that was just light and refreshing. But also gluten free. And this little sandwich shop did just that. They also have excellent customer service! We will be back!

People there were very nice. Clean, cozy establishment with fresh ingredients. Best sandwiches in Tahoe.

Delicious sandwiches, fair prices, and great service.

The sandwiches are delicious! This is a hole in the wall place but that adds to the charm. All sandwiches are 6 inches but in all honesty they're probably a little bigger. I highly recommend this place if you're looking to support local business. I got the Canadian bacon and pineapple sandwich and it was delicious! Again, I highly recommend this place ♥
