Port of Subs

Great locally pop owed franchise. It's a little bit on the higher side in terms of price, spent almost $20 for a footlong long sandwich meal (chips+drink+a little tip), but it's worth it! (And what isn't expensive, especially in this town; especially nowadays, after a pandemic... And also this city is driving it's residents and especially it's businesses that have been here for a long time, out, in favor of greed). Ingredients are very fresh, they make everything there (besides the chips and drinks of course), but the bread, cookies, meat, veggies is all freshly bake and prepared there. I know the owner personally, and he's a wonderful guy, with a positive character, puts a lot of effort into running his business. Unfortunately, after long years of public service to his community, he's selling the franchise, so be sure to try this place out before it closes! (somewhere before Summer 2024). Good good overall!

This shop is the best. Always well staffed, friendly and clean. Employees are awesome, professional and never miss a beat. My favorite sandwich shop in town. Quality and consistency all the way around. We always enjoy a fresh sandwich.

5 stars all the way, meets or exceeds all! This might be the best run sub shop I’ve ever been to. The subs were great and tasty - as good as any quick serv sub shop. Beyond that though.. All the little details were covered: friendly greeting, well staffed with 4 or 5 people to keep orders moving, menu suggestions from staff, offering all toppings and suggesting seasonings - not just waiting for me to pick, cashier asking if I would like sugar for my tea, and someone coming out to say wipe down and sanitize the table within minutes after someone leaves. Great service, made a difference for me, thank you!!

Great subs!! Fresh bread. Lots of toppings. Fresh sliced deli meats and cheeses. Perfect spot to pick up lunch on the way to the beach. Friendly staff! Definitely a spot to hit while you are in town visiting!

They were friendly and clean, and the meatball sub I ate made me want to go back a second time before I left town. Steve was a great employee, and my second sub was just as amazing as the first one!

If you haven't tried Port of Subs, you're missing out. The best part is the quality of ingredients, freshly cut for your order. The South Lake Tahoe location also has some of the best service I've had at any similar restaurant. Great stop for us when we head out from a ski trip earlier than normal and want a late lunch.

Beats the socks off of any other sandwich chain. The staff is always ready to help and the quality and price are great! Its at least a couple times a week kind of place.

Super friendly, great sandwiches. A bit pricey but not too bad. The two guys that helped me out where also named Steve. Locals knew them by name so you know it's good place to get a sandwich.

This was the best sub shop I have ever been to. We walked in and were immediately greeted by friendly employees who told us about the specials. The choices were plentiful and the sandwiches were even better. In my opinion, THIS place should be voted the best sub shop, not the awful yellow submarine shop across the street.

Good food. They cut your meat right there for your sandwich. The staff was very nice and friendly. They were happy to serve us and happy that we loved the food. We will stop here again.

Great sandwiches, great price, VERY clean, modern restaurant with very nice employees. Great sandwich place to hit up for lunch when you are having a beach day at Regan beach or Lake View Commons. Highly recommended!

Best port of sub I've been too, service is unbelievably good

I go here a few times a week; it’s a regular stop when I get my lunch break! Food is always fresh, restaurant is spotless, and the staff is incredibly nice and helpful (the owner is always there helping everyone with everything as well). I can not recommend enough!

Very friendly staff. The sandwich was great. Soft bread. Great meat. Fresh veggies. In my opinion better than subway
